  1. thats reminded me of the time you started attacking Steve's G60 idle valve with a breaker bar!! If you do require one i have a brand new one that you could buy.
  2. With the roadside they will take it wherever, so long as its with a 10 mile radius.
  3. Control valve for idling stabilization - 2.9ltr 6cyl ABV engine p/n - 034 133 455 B 195,62 GBP +VAT
  4. You don't essentially need anything to fit the cams but it's good practice to replace the cam timing chain, these should be available from GSF for around £10. I did struggle to get one from them as they kept saying that they weren't made any more! Also while you're at it you could also do a cam belt and tensioner pulley change, use genuine stuff but this will set you back another £65 or so. A set of new KR cams will be hundreds (You'll only need the inlet one). if you can wait around on here, edition 38 forums or club gti you'll find they come up every now and again. Normal price seems to be around the £25 mark
  5. Good idea, will do. will have a look again through that article, i believe that this is one of the parts that makes mine KE-Jet...
  6. Cheers for the reply David! I dont know what to do now then, i'm always keen to replace 12-13 year old electrical parts with "new" bits going on the theory that it'll last another 12-13 years.... Obviously i'm not going to go in and start turning adjustment screws randomly, i would compare it to the other one but there i a chance of it being 180* out.....
  7. Hi all, I bought another not really needed bargain off Ebay the other day and it arrived today. The item is brand new and is called a Differential fuel pressure regulator, the part number is 034 133 482. I'm just wandering if anyone has any further information on this part, maybe some sort of data sheet? i'm especially interested in what happens if i turn the adjustment screw on it? Ta
  8. Currently £19.01 including VAT - Part number 6N0 905 865 Might seem a bit dear for a switch but as I'm sure you're very well aware this is a part that will immobilise your car when it fails, so it's best to go for reputable quality over price.
  9. Humm, if it is that bit you might want to try and get one from someone who is breaking theirs! It's listed on ETOS as part number 536 422 893 - Flexible hose and costs a whopping £99.91!!
  10. Can you spot which bit it is on here?
  11. Also just read this bit that is very wrong!
  12. Sorry, i've only just read the advert. As i said dipped lights on all corrado's are H4's so the adevert is wrong. Dipped are H4 Main are H3 Fog are H3 No H7's
  13. Normal dipped lights should be H4 in all standard light units.

  15. The other thing i can't understand is how they can Group the 2.0 16v as 17 and the 1.8 as a 15!

    Engine run on

Great, cheers. that could be a reason for both problems, with the injector leaking causing over fueling and also not always firing on ignition

    Engine run on

Ah OK, so when the key springs back to normal running position it should then be off?

    will it fit ?

shouldn't be a problem with the back and centre sections, i beleive that the front pipe connections will be different but the magnex should have been supplied with an adaptop......

    Engine run on

could anyone tell me how the 5th 'cold start' injector is controlled? i.e how it knows to be on or off

    Engine run on

mm, too intermittant to be that....if it was a constant issue then yeah, but this really is every now and again say maybe a couple of times a week.

    Engine run on

Recently when I stop my car (ignition off) it will occasionally do another couple of revs' and I'm unsure as to why, i've been told that this could be a sign of it running rich but the plugs don't seem to indicate this.... Could this also be coupled with the occasional reluctance to start, with the ignition needing to go for a few seconds before the engine catches? Cheers
  24. Must say that my problem was with my Magnex not a Supersprint
  25. Yeah, I have exactly the same problem and solved it in exactly the same way! You'll either need to take it to a decent exhaust place to get them to fabricate a mount, either that or a mount from a Metro can be used although the stud doesn't look like it'll withstand much.....
