  1. If its just a temporary fix to slow the rust down until the work is carried out properly you cant beat oil.. ether a can of WD40 or preferably Duck Oil as its slightly thicker and more oily - spray it inside double skinned areas and along and inside sills... or dilute engine oil with a little paraffin and use a pump trigger spray to get it where you need it. Once the car is in storage and dry, strip it out and replace rusty sections with proper repair panels, use a weld-thru zinc type primer prior to welding up and then coat liberally in Dinitrol - waxoly is ok but if not applied well it creates places for water to actually sit.
  2. I think it's whatever was in the parts bin at the time as my 93/K has mostly late psrts, late shape interior, lights/fogs etc.
  3. The MK2 engine bay and Corrado are almost identical... a Golf guide will probably be a good read if the Coarrdo ones are missing pictures...
  4. It will be very similar to a MK2 Golf transplant, should almost be a kit with instructions the amount of them that have been done...
  5. Very nice! Dont suppose you remember what product it was do you?
  6. Nice spotting there Stuart! LOL! Thats just down the road from me... there also a blue (Mystic?) in Haddenham .. saw it drive through last night, parks up near the pub I visit now and then ;)
  7. out of interest is that just satin black paint on your slam panel? - looks really smart, makes it look a bit more modern..
  8. Not sure I could of parted with that....
  9. Hmmm what are the Gaz coilovers like? Not a brand I've come across before to be honest? I need a suspension setup for my car
  10. Superbe work there! Seats look fantastic ;)
  11. indeed holy crap! How the hell did that break there? - you'd of thought it would of gone nearer the drive gear where it gets narrower...
  12. Jabbasport? Worth a call... they did a lot of work with FI cars over the years.
  13. I bought this.. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-accessories/car-covers-tarpaulins/halfords-advanced-all-seasons-car-cover-medium?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Car+Accessories-_-Car+Covers+&+Tarpaulins-_-327285&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istItemId=xipqtxqtq&istBid=tztx&_$ja=tsid:94971|cid:868555876|agid:49387671092|tid:aud-297219198129:pla-329404862319|crid:203456299176|nw:g|rnd:7149119223519526887|dvc:c|adp:1o1|loc:1006754&gclid=Cj0KCQjwi97NBRD1ARIsAPXVWWDvjU0_oX_kCYnmU8SJ1Uuf_-wtGv2yue-0V-XHlu6420qWDon6ycIaAjCcEALw_wcB No complaints Seems to keep the weather off and my Mums was getting people knocking on the door and leaving notes asking to buy the car so two birds with one car cover! ;)
  14. Sounds good GF! Are you going to re-dye the leather... I bought a leather steering wheel to replace the one I had which had holes in it... after cleaning the leather wasn't in such good condition so I really need to get it treated. Good find on the portable dehumidifier! - got me thinking now... as much as I don't mind the 90's damp smell LOL! Yeah my car is stored at my mums house which is a bit of a drag :(
  15. To some degree they are perfect... We were putting 15" BBS wheels on GTI's in the late 80's - I've always felt the Corrado with its rather large wings, hind quarters and altitude could of easily worn a 16" or 17" from the factory - which I hate to say would of aged more gracefully... I think somersetdub hit the nail with Evolos http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?50041-Somersetdub-s-Aqua-Blue-VR6/page11&highlight=evolos You've got the throw back to the 90's and the speedline with the 5-spoke design, yet a wheel that looks modern.
  16. Cheers mate - appreciate it, will that fit the VR thou? I only need the casting I guess...
  17. Morning Hasan Unfortunately I left it to long in the patio cleaner which is hydrochloric acid and it ate away the thinner parts of the casting... including the screw threads that hold the motor together :( Usually it does a great job... good on steel and iron but you have to go careful with Ali as it just fizzies away... that was a proper good starter I'd recently bought off Lilfuzzer so I'm double annoyed with myself. Have tried looking for V5 ones on ebay but they all seem to be pattern parts or the Bosch ones look very different... it seems to get listed as an 18T one as well... bit confusing. If anyone does have a broken Bosch one I'd still be interested ;)
  18. Cheers fellas... I'll keep an eye out for one, don't suppose anyone can remember where you got yours?
  19. This is the part Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  20. Afternoon Anyone got an old Bosch starter motor? Doesn't matter if it doesn't work... I was servicing mine and put the Ali casting in a bucket of patio cleaner.. forgot about it band it trashed it!

    Timing chains?

Hi George, This quote was from vwgolfr32.co.uk - or VW Teeside they seem to come up as? I did check my local main-stealer but they said the parts were discontinued and not superseded :(
