  1. wouldnt agree with you steve. my MFA reading is only 1/2 psi out from my boost gauge i think its still usefull if not totally accurate
  2. no worries JT glad to help my week off as well but pleased to be of assistance
  3. thats because its setup wrong. reset the co pot to 500 ohms then do the set up a described. mine was 4.6% when i unplugged the bts reset to 2.5% and it runs like a dream
  4. i always thought you set the co with the car in service mode. service mode is just that to make adjustments. co pipe up exhaust pipe or at the manifold makes no difference except about 10 secs for the readings to change, quicker at the manifold car should be at running temp ie allow the cooling fan to kick in once disconnect the blue sensor, rev 3 times over 2000 rpm and allow to idle , set the tickover with the airscrew in the throttle housing and check the co. if you now adjust the co pot you will see the reading change after 10 or so secs. set the the co and when happy switch off the engine. reconnect the sensor and restart. the co will always try and read the same normally regardless of the co pot as the lambda corrects the fuelling hence why it doesnt change when you adjust the co pot your co reader doesnt do stoicamectric reading but its the perfect air fuel ratio and is 14:7 parts air to 1 part fuel or lambda 1 mot limit is 0.97-1.03 if i rember right try that and see how you go that is after you have set your timing

  9. check the out put wire, depends if you got a 4 wire plug or 6 if 4 check pins 2&4 and at idle you should have 0.8volts and at 3000 1.8v if 6 pin check pins 2&3 and should be 2.3 at idle and 2.8 at 3000 hope this helps
  10. snap on do a spark plug repair kit similar to a heli coil but better basically you have a tap to recut the threads to a bigger size and then you screw in a threaded sleave with a bit off loctite on it and it works a treat . got about 50 cars running around with them in and no probs at all kit is about 75 quid tho but still better then having to take your head off and pay a engineering shop 40 quid to heli coil you anywhere near high wycombe bucks or maybe could send the kit in the post for you and you just pay for an insert and postage both ways let me know or call me 07841285842

    Poorly G60

doubt this would stop it starting more likely to be the hall sensor in the dizzy. if the dizzy doesnt trigger the fuel pump wont run when it doesnt start take the plug off the dizzy, turn the ignition on and then put a small piece of wire/paper clip etc in the middle pin of the multi plug and strike it on a earth, you should hear the coil click and the fuel pump run for a second, if this happens but not when you crank its the hall sender in the dizzy
  12. no it should cycle between 0.1 volt to 0.9 volt at idle , up down up down makes you dizzy watching it. its like a hyperactive child lol
  13. its for the idle valve so it lets it open at the higher pressure's this kit can give. if it goes over the set safe limit it opens the valve to lower boost going into the engine
  14. did you get this sorted out mate. i have had no probs with cliffords and have fitted hundreds of them but to be fair never had ultrasomics always used micro wave. have you done last event recall as shown in your owners manual as that will tell you what caused the last 8 false alarms so you know what sensor it is and then will know if your dealer is telling you porkies or not if you know where the control box for the ultra sonics is then try turning it down with a small screw driver anti clockwise hope this helps
  15. having fitted alarms for myself i have to sayt all work i have seen by sound gallery is top notch. they do know what they are doing
  16. yeah i wanted one of these hows it on the road ?
  17. agreed that the cameras arnt used correctly but it still the same if you dont break the law 10 million cameras wouldnt be a problem. so stop whinging as they are not going away. just as bad as the national speed limit set by a woman who didnt drive.
  18. could be the coil pack shorting out maybe
  19. wanna do a boot install and was wandering what others had done, so was looking for insperation. any pics would be good
  20. hold in the star button and arm it then disarm it and then let go of the switch. count the led flashes, short gaps till a long one and then the next one, will give 8 codes and then i can tell tou what it is. or call me phone number pm'd
  21. get a g60 then you will be happy with your fuel consumption on the vr6 lol
  22. 300 doesnt have ultrasonics it has a microwave, and you can use any microwave as long as its manually adjustable
  23. have to say kev but not al clifford dealers are bad, im sure if audioscape had fitted it it would be a ggod un. the immobiliser cuts on a clifford are 1 to the ignition circuit as this is where it gets its ignnition on signal so it cant be armed when driving, and the second is usally the starter tho i tend to do the fuel pump thatcham recomend self tapping the siren and thats how it is when ir gets its cat1 status agree tho that the rest was crap but please slag off the installers that did your install butr not all cliffords or the products did your alarm fail then ?
  24. strap -on sell metal ones that are better then the vw ones 30 squid and you can get them off their web site
