what got it going ant ?
-
all you can run is wat is rated at less then the charger so if its a 4 amp charger the ignition on will be about 2 amps so not a lot can be run like that.
-
sounds like it could be flooded as you started it and then turned it off try new plugs and keep your foot to the floor till she starts and make sure you rev it a bit for a few seconds till she will idle if you break it can i have first dibbs on the engine please lol if the spark is weak it wont be the hall sender it will spark or not its just a switch. take the plug off the dizzy and ground the middle pin and as you do the coil should spark. if its a sronger spark check the earth on the dizzy body to battery earth. should be no more then .3v if its more a high resistance in the earth system is present. usally the battery to chassis. try a jump lead from battery neg to dizy body hope this helps

got a seconhand one if you want it 25 quid plus postage works fine
-
not all no mostly late models but you can get the relay and upgrade your set up if you havnt got it. there is a thread on it somewhere
-
joys of 225 bhp i spose never mind will be even worse soon
-
i get 16mpg around town and 20 - 22 on a run, this is with conservitive driving, i can get it down to 10mpg
-
ok i agree just that the seal goes and the valve can wear and let off early so like you say new cap at least
-
err the cap has a pressure relief valve built in check the rubber washer on the tank cap as this can cause overheating when driving.
-
did you sort this if not email me
-
got all the info and wiring diagrams for the gt136 if you need it still probably still do you a certificate for it as well let me know

okay i cant qoute on all peoples experiences but........ RAC will tow a minor accident damaged vehicle but are not obliged to, but will send you a tow truck at a cost to you AA dont tow accident vehicles as with the RAC they are a breakdown rescue service and an accident is no breakdown centrica sold the AA back in semptember and it is now a private company again Nice to see a woman looking under a bonnet yep the AA has several female patrols as for using a friends card the reason the patrol will be 'grumpy' is that they are not ment to fix a car that te member is not present, and the AA needs a form of id as well as the card. REMEMBER using someone elses card is fraud. Also the patrols have heard every excuse going so dont treat them as fools, tell the truth and you wil get a better service. Left your lights on and flattened your battery , just say so. not your card well be nice. personally i think the service offered is better with the AA the the RAC and i have broke down twice on the motorway and each time i called the RAC it took 3 hours to get to me, AND I WAS STAFF either way not everyone will be happy with a service. as with any insurance you only test it when you are stressed and want instant service, so do 25000 other people who break down in britain every day. Remember next time you are waiting for a patrol he is probably changing a puncture for some jumped up t**t who doesnt see why he should get his hands dirty. sorry to defend the patrols but as an ex RAC patrol and now a AA patrol i feel justified. also remember the aa will now give you a car for a day free if its not fixable, and you can take it anytime in the first 72 hours, it does help

yep count me in

at the wheels it was 179 bhp
-

Chipping a normal motor will make no difference...
exturbo2003 replied to G100extreme's topic in Engine Bay
Right .. merry xmas everyone.. I'm pissed... Even in my pissed incoherent state i'd have to disagree with a few points. The orignal design engine map has had vast amounts of funds ploughed into them admitedly, but the objectives of the manufaturer original map have many factors which are not related to performance. Drive by noise levels and emmisions being two major role players. Sure the o2 sensor keeps mixture in order at part throttle, but the o2 correction can also be altered in a map if a map is created correctly. A original manufaturers map may have a part throttle correction on the o2 which keeps things way on the lean side for a few hundred rpm to ensure that a vechicle meets particular emmison restrictions for its market. Ignition timing is altered on some cars to lessern torque at lower RPM's to eliviate stress on running gear such as gerboxs and subsequent warrenty claims for premeture failures. Why do you crudly want to interupt senders signals? Most systems ignore o2 sensor on WOT so no gains will be seen by altering the input signal. If you did richern up the mixture this way you would just exagerate the trends of the original map, effectivly plot a mixture line slightly richer but following the same trends so you would not iron out any discrepencies in the map, just change the base line. You could have a integigent box that altered input vs rpm I suppose, but to go to that extreme you may as well just do it properly in the map. Chips are never going to give you the claimed 10bhp+ figure that are claimed, quite aware of that, but you can gain power/torque by ironing out original design factors in the map that are written in for emisions. A 2bhp/5ft/lb torque increase at 3000 rpm will noticibly make the car more perkey and drivable. Which is really the the goal you are looking to achive. Basically ignoring all technical shite.. if a engine has been mapped by a car manufaturer for out and out performance and that only then I guess there is no point in chipping a car as no or tiny gains will be made as some one else done the homework, but in this policy/regulation/Legislation riddled socoity we live in this prety picture is never the case, hence 9 times outta ten gains can be made from chipping a stock motor. Not pulling power from thin air, but carfully ironing out altered map code that was intentionally written in to achive alterior objectives. Anyhow.. merry fooking xmas ya all.. i'm off to bed as the bottle of JD has just run out and my ECU needs a break as it's processors are getting fryed. as i said but put in a professional and educated way. cheers steve that should keep him quiet for a while :? -
dont run your tyre pressures at the recomended pressures or you will get very little grip, about 32f/30r works well for me
-
i would like to get 200 at the wheels so i need to find another 21bhp and then i will be happy

exturbo2003 replied to G100extreme's topic in Engine Bay
okay so your saying that technically it makes no more power but are you talking top power or through the rev range. if they are just dumping in extra fuel as you suggest then it will delay the flame burn and will therfore make it torquer which in turn will make the car quicker through the gears and on the road, tho BHP max maybe the same. i personally dont think that £300 + for a na chip is value but £100 is. also if the engine is smoothed out then its life span should increase making it profatable over time -
as the title says merry christmas everyone here's hoping all is good and well on this day and everyone has what they want and looks forward to the new year thanks to all who have made this a top site and especially to andy for working so hard on it :notworthy:

sorry mate but there are nissan primera's with a carb on and a catalyst on a 'n' reg also i think there were a few skoda's -
would like bigger injectors, new chip to suit, front mount intercooler and a oil cooler. so will start with the oil cooler then get the intercooler, then the chip/injectors with the possibilty of a 65mm pulley
-
probably but i had mine done before the collabaration between the boys so mines done by steve, so he gets the credit for the work 8)
-
okay setup is this flowed charger by pitsop g-werks alloy outlet and charger ported to match 68 mm pulley sns stage 5 chip piper 285 cam 3.5 fpr and thats it. set up with help from darren at g-werks ( top top man )
