  1. I've recently acquired a car that has been sat outside for 9 yrs, think yourself lucky, lol.
  2. Mines still as it rolled out the factory! Just more broken
  3. yes that made up my mind thanks :D I had new discs and pads and cambelt done there, good price and all good work. Its in there this monday again for MOT work and possible replacement of the valve stem seals too, seem pretty good on price too
  4. Mine is broken again! So far its cost me £100 per month to maintain, thats without petrol expenses. I've worked out that the cost of the car, insurance, maintenance and petrol has taken up around 40% of my wages every month!! Not happy
  5. Luckily for you its not blue, mine is blue and it failed the mot, be careful!
  6. My 1.8 valver is the same, usually get about 180-200miles for £30.
  7. sorry i cant be of much help, but..... ah, the joys of a 1.8
  8. Personally i think my valver sounds gorgeous when the pedal is to the floor
  9. kool, i'll get some next time im passing the stealers
  10.  We all said that as i was writing it too!
  11. Well its in the garage on monday having the valve seals replaced, so i wanna make sure she is treated right when she comes back. Went to halfords, bloody useless, not decent oil at all. If you've got a modern car then great, got an older one, well, there was sod all!
  12. This is about a mk4 golf, but its all the same problem. My mate has a fatty white deposit at the bottom of his dipstick, indicated water in the system. What causes this? And like cost to get sorted. Cheers Chris
  13. Im off to get some decent oil for my 1990 valver, whats the best stuff to use. Ta Chris
  14. My mate had his 106 done for £450, front + rear seats and all doorcards, all in cream leather, and very good quality. Schaffino leather i think it was (or something like that). So in a word, yes!
  15. I'm not 100% but i did hear that the abf block is taller than the 9a block, and so will struggle to fit into a C due to the slopping bonnet
  16. Anywhere that can successfully run 0 gauge wiring through a TT are very good. The entie chassis is perfectly moulded for every component, meaning that there are no gaps for wiring anywhere, making them extremely hard to work on in terms of ICE
  17. i need some of these, the C failed the MOT for a dodgy bulb pattern, figured it was the perfect time to upgrade. Anywhere still got em in stock?
  18. I've recently made the decision to leave mine standard, after buying some rims and shocks/spings. I've decided that i cant afford to mod it to the standard i would like, and i'd also like to own a standard car for a change. So instead of spending my money on modding it im going to spend it on keeping it as mint standard as possible, soliving all the lil problems, like loose fitting trim, sunroof not sliding, sealant around the sunroof etc. The idea being that when i come to sell it in 4/5 yrs it'll hopefully be one of the most standard mint examples around
  19. Well, the car is now no longer coming off the road, and its failed its MOT for dense blue smoke coming from the exhaust. If it is the valve stem seals i have 3 questions, if anyone can answer them: If its just the valve seals that need replacing, how much? If the head needs rebuilding too, how much? If its ruined the pistons too and the block needs reboring, how much? Or is that new engine time?
  20. Unfortunately my Rado is proving to be an expensive car, infact every car ive owned has cost alot to maintain. Sometimes it does make me consider selling my older cars, wondering into a car supermarket and buying a 2yr old VW diesel on finance.
  21. Entourage was also good when that was on. Although it did make you depressed when you saw how some people lived in comparison to yourself!
  22. To be honest i feckin love my Rado and i cant ever see myself selling it, altho i did contemplate swapping it for a G40 at one point, silly boy! I used to own a mk2, but it was a driver. It was a 5dr model with 168k on the clock, with 17's. It was slow as sin and felt like a tank, but to be honest i loved it! Last night i was driving back from the missus' at half 12, nothing on the roads but taxis, and i was smiling all the way home, cant beat it!!
  23. True, i was hoping it would sail through too, hahaha! Although the rear brakes binding might explain why it doesn't feel too sharp off the line, and the less than impressive mpg. I actually look forward to MOT day because generally my cars feel sooooo much better once these things are sorted
  24. I've only recently discovered Scrubs, so i dont know what series im at or anything! My rents used to moan about me watching paramount comedy, but now my dad watches scrubs and my mum watches everybody loves raymond
