Looking for some pics of a Rocco owned by Peter Watteeuw from Belgium. It was in the reading rides section of PVW March 07. Has a definate 80 sports car feel to it, love the pics ive seen so far

I found one when i was looking for my C. The age requirement was 21, and all C's were down as classics. I can remember because i was looking at a quote for a VR6, but i cant for the life of me remember the company :?
-
Polo on standard policy, C on classic :D

I have thought about this leasing lark too. For £150 a month i can get a brand new polo tdi. Ok its a polo, with a 1.4 diesel engine, BUT, it will only cost me £1800 a year to run a car without ever having to worry about it. Then the C can be kept for weekend/good weather and the polo can get daily abuse.

What Interior Can fit a Corrado on the rear Bench?
skinnyman9000 replied to Hass's topic in Interior
I would say TT seats are the only ones worth bothering with, the standard Rado seats aren't exactly shabby -
I've just thought, my road tax was due 6 weeks ago, but the car was taken off the road for MOT work, so if my road tax doubles i'll be well pissed! Also, doesn't car emissions make up summert like 2% of carbon emissions? So that will make the UK about 0.02%, and the worst cars will be like 0.0001% Dumbasses

Looks like an oldskool audi to me, and the gearknow looks like an audi one too.

This government is stupid. If they keep doing this then people will start buying smaller engines cars, and they spending less on petrol and less on tax. This will reduce the amount of money that they take in, and so there will be shortages, and so they'll increase tax elsewhere. I guess they need it all as the olympics is said to cost £9BILLIONS POUNDS, and we all know that this figure will triple

I've lost track of this thread, are these available yet? Im guessing it would be a good lil earner, 99% of Rado owners must want one of these puppies
-
Saw this in golf+ (i think). There was a mk2 golf (again, i think, cant be bothered to reach for it to find out) with a mk4 cup holder placed in the dash, looked pretty sweet. Anyone done anything like this in the Rado? Or can think of where it could be put?
-
I think that looks well swish, defo summert for the future i reckon. I love random lil mods like this that add real depth and character to the car

I've already replied to this thread, but i'll reply again. I love my C. I dont ever want to see it. Its a daily at the moment, but if i ever find myself needing another car i'll use it as a good weather/summer car, because i dont ever wanna get rid, feckin love the thing!

Mine started off fairly cheap really Discs and pads Rear calipers Brake lines Then niggly bits like: side bolster trim Headlights But now im engine is knackered, so its big money time!
-
I was sat in traffic on the way home from work last week, i had a Rado at the side of me and 1 behind me, and i was my mums Escort  doh
-
BUT i thought the block was too tall on the ABF to fit in the Rado? AND a 2.0L 16V will require the use of a cat, whereas if i rebuild the one i've got i can have a 2L bottom end on it. PLUS i wanna get the car on the road sharpish, i miss it!
-
After my MOT failure, and some further investigation into my car, it would now appear that the bottom end is knackered :x I was going to attempt to rebuild it myself, however due to the love for my car, and my parents intervention, this is now not an option. On the plus side though the have lent to £1k to sort the problem. Sooooo, with a budget of £1k what will i be looking at in terms of rebuilds? I think a 2L bottom end is a must for a start, any other goodies i would be likely to squeeze in there with my budget?
-
Oil is the least of my worries now due to the impending rebuild i've now got to have!! haha
-
I had a compression test done which came back fine. And it doesnt run lumpy, if anything it sounds beautifully quiet on tickover, will happily sit at just below 1k for ages, its a very quiet engine for its ages and mileage. However, this weekend i will do the oil cap test and check the spark plugs.

I've been seeing good running valver engines go for £100ish, reckon this would be the cheapest option available?
-
Its not felt too sharp from the word go to be honest mate. If its new engine time, would i be crazy to consider a 2L 8V lump? It is a daily after all, and the 22mpg around town is becoming a joke!
-
Ok, i have a problem with my 1.8 valver. So far i've been given 3 different diagnostics of the problem from people on various forums, now i know without looking at the car its difficult to say, BUT, if i give the symptoms surely someone will know? Well, here we go. The car is chucking out blue smoke. Not on start up, its fine. I have to be driving for 10-15 mins before it starts doing it. The hotter the car, the worse it gets. Its thick blue smoke, obviously smelling strongly of oil. Its also throwing oil straight out the exhaust onto the drive. I put some oil cleaner in on sat (randomly), and within 5 mins of being on tickover it was throwing it out the exhaust, which shows how quickly its getting through the system. I've been told worm valve seals, cracked pistons, or knackered bottom end. From the symptoms described can anyone help me? Cheers Chris.

What would you recommend for a 1990 16V Rado, having done 120k?
-
My car has had a recent service, and a whole new exhaust, and i still get around 22mpg in town. However, on journey's through the countryside i get a nice 32
-
Damn why cant i have kind close friend with a bodyshop and some spare time!!! I want mine doing, but the car is worth £1500 tops, so a respray just doesnt make sense, maybe a day of detailing will do the trick
