On Saturday morning i took my Corrado over to Midland VW for a head rebuild. Its the first time its been driven in 7 weeks, and my god did it feel good to drive it again! I've been driving my mum's N reg escort for the past few months and its made me realise how good the Rado really is. The seats, the driving position, the heavy power steering, the clunky gearbox, i feckin loved it! Dont think i'll ever be selling the C, no car feels anything like it

Don't assume that Full service history and a wallet full of receipts means the engine wont break a few months after purchase!!

I did yes ta mate, it was spot on!! As for the MPG, thats all i get, ive heard thats common on the KR engines, as if the high oil consumption. On a long run at night, when its a lil cooler, it'll do 30mpg quite easily, but stop-starting it gets about 22, maybe 25 if im lucky. 16V engines dont like town driving at the best of times

Im guessing turbo'ing a valver engine is alot of cash then? How about a 16V G60? just looking to the future like!

Declare anything, insurance will use anything to get out of paying! If you hit a £50k merc, and you've got an exhaust system ya didnt tell them about they'll say your insurance is invalid, even if its nothing to do with the accident, purely because legally you're fubar

Ok first, ive got a new sunroof seal as mine has dried up and is leaking. Got a few questions. 1) Whats the best way of cleaning it before it goes on the car? They is some red paint on it that i would like to remove, but without damaging the seal. 2) Is there anything i can put on it afterwards to help condition it and to stop it from drying out and becoming brittle? Cheers for any help. Chris.

I think they had alot longer to look at the mk5 R32, i remember reading something about it, saying the mk4 was rushed and too much was sourced outside the company, whereas the mk5 was done in house. It shows though, didnt it kick the mk4's ass around the top gear track?

Hmmmm, toughie i guess. The beetle does sound tempting. I'd spend it on cosmetics and gettin the car feelin new, so when you do get a charger it'll be ready for whats thrown at it!
