  1. Very nice looking C you've found there mate! And in the best colour! Wish mine was as red as that!
  2. Could do with 2, finally get rid of the cable ties then... Let me know if you decide to get them... Cheeeers... :D
  3. Exactly, each to their own, one mans meat's another mans poison, etc etc etc blah blah blah. Pointless thread, should be locked before someone gets offended again, these threads always seem to end up with another member disappearing, never to be seen again.
  4. Just been having a look on the Karmann website and came accross this: 1990 Volkswagen Corrado Roadster In 1990, Karmann develops the Corrado Roadster study on behalf of Volkswagen. The sporty two-seated car is based on the successful sport coupe model and has a top with an integrated heated rear window, which may be completely lowered into the body. Apologies if its a Pearoast.... Great site though....
  5. Seen this coming for some time now. Half of me agrees when I see the state of some driving these days, but the other half is appalled at yet another dig at the innocent motorist. Just another money making scheme.
  6. Dear oh dear. Truly awful.
  7. Not good, really hope its not a member... :(
  8. The shame. Charger works looking good mate!
  9. BLOODY HELL! Cant believe some people! Quality site though, never come accross that before! :D
  10. LOL, even better then, 16's should be fine if you're on 17's with the same width and ET? Thanks again... :D
  11. Sweet, just what i wanted to hear. Cheers for the reply! :D
  12. Ello all, seen some rims I wouldn't mind in 7.5j x 16 ET35, (they currently have 215/40's on) just wondering if anyone running this size (and a 40mm drop) has any clearance issues without arch work. Done a calculation using a tool on the net, which reckons 19mm less clearance on both sides (as my existing wheels are 6j x 15 ET35). Arch work required? Or maybe just squeeze em in? Want to get them tucked in really, as there are more speed humps than people round by me! Feedback much appreciated. Cheers. :D
  13. Passenger side only does one touch down. Most annoying but i THINK you can swap a relay from a MK3 Goof to cure it??? THE most annoying part though IMO is that only 1 window will operate at any one time. (only seconds to wait i know but...)
  14. Ello all, somehow I've managed to lose my spare so need a new one cutting. Is this a dealer only thing or can I buy a blank and get it cut at a normal locksmiths? If so, any idea which type key they are for 1990 valvers? Cheers...
  15. Hi mate, i'll have a large Big Mac meal, Chocolate Shake, Hot Apple Pie.....
  16. Bloody good work with the paint Rob! She's in better nick than mine now!! Shame you're not closer as you could have practised your flat red polishing a bit more...lol  :D
  17. The KR does have a chain linking the 2 camshafts together, but if its coming from all over the head, sounds doubtful that would be the cause. (Although the sound could transmit i suppose) Tappets sounds like a safer bet...(but the noise from those is very distinctive)
  18. Just made 2 very agreeable transactions with VR6 South, can only say, a pleasure to deal with. Good communication, fast delivery of the items I bought. (Which i might add he went out of his way to salvage from a scrappies yard!) Top bloke!
  19. Complete tosser, why did he bother to accept your offer in the 1st place?! TBH, i've never thought of buying privately from any other forum but this one, and now I know why. Have you had the refund that was offered? Or is it still just the offer of a refund at this stage???
  20. Yeah I'd definitely have a look at that...
  21. Yeah the tyres do look a bit big! Wouldnt have thought that would cause the knocking though. The width and offset are just about perfect... Tidy looking set of A's though.... 8)
  22. The Rad Fan is a 2 speed jobbie, low speed should come on at 85c, high speed at 95c, the fan shouldn't be running all the time though. Sounds like the problem mine had (1990 16v), changed the Rad Fan switch that sits on the Rad (on the side closest to the passenger wing), and problem solved. Didn't cost too much from the dealers so a nice cheap fix. Oh, and welcome to the forum!!
  23. Wouldn't have thought there should be any knocking noises, somethings fouling somewhere. What width/offset are they? They look well tucked in but its hard to tell for sure from the flat angle of the photo...
