  1. Main Dealers every time for brakes etc. Pay cheap, pay twice at GSF etc. Stopped using them now, you just end up paying twice and going to the dealers eventually anyway. Applies even more to bushes and bearings, definitely Main Dealer all the way there... Edit: Beat me to it Judith!!
  2. PM that list to CrazyDave or nemesis360 (Dave & Graham from DG Auto), see what they come back with? Or grab you wallet, head to the dealers, collect the bits, and get fitting!!
  3. PM that list to CrazyDave or nemesis360 (Dave & Graham from DG Auto), see what they come back with?
  4. Sorry to hear about your woes mate. Here's a thought, could you not source a 2.8 block and get it bored out to 2.9, and rebuilt whilst its in pieces. Then you'd know your bottom end is ok, and you'd have the displacement you want...
  5. Thats not toooooo bad.... Depends how much you have to throw at the car, and how much you want to keep hold of it!!
  6. Make or break time then! :( They given you a quote for the work? Might be worth speaking to DG Autotech? Are they MOT fail jobs?
  7. Not sure on the exact amount of spacing mate, i THINK its 6mm though....
  8. It may be the case that you need to space out the carrier, I've recently acquired a set of 288's from an 08 Ibiza, and according to reputable sources, the carriers need spacing to the same amount as the 312's... Can't confirm this though, as I'm waiting on the spacers, so I can crack on with the fitting. What car did your setup come from?
  9. Sounds like the Audioscape sub enclosure is what you're after, sits behind the rear wheel arch. (Vulture mode ON) What kind of price you looking for for the steath shelf if you do sell?
  10. Mate this has been covered at length in the past, have a look using the search.
  11. Ditto. Never had a problem there at all, both of mine have always gone there. DG Autotech really are Corrado specialists though, having both built their own VR Turbos.
  12. Have you tried the dealers mate? You may find they're still available??
  13. Or the MK4, or certain Ibiza's, Leons, Toledo's. Lots of variants really.... A couple of pics would help.
  14. Where did the calipers come from? What make are they?
  15. Agreed Kev, just had 4 KU31's fitted for £240! 205/50/15's on the Speedlines. Great grip in the wet (once they'd scrubbed that is! Very nearly caught me out.. :pale: ), nice and quiet on all surfaces. I'll definitely be going back for more...
  16. Nothing could be further from the truth! Having followed this restoration thread, and having seen the work you've done, I can't believe you wrote the above?! You've turned around what was essentially a car fit for breaking and almost fully restored it! To quit now would be madness. As has been said, chill, take a step back, get the fuel leak sorted (can't be that much detective work to find the leak), and voila! Reap the fruits of your labour. Now get that beer Gertrude!
  17. I pilot holed mine too mate, and used the screws that were supplied with the MB Quartz 8)
  18. Are they one piece from the sunroof to the wheel arch Henny? If not where (how far down the pillar do they join? And onto what?) Wondering if this might be the cause of my wet footwell and NOT the passenger membrane (swapping that this weekend). Whats a good way of testing these? (i'm assuming pour water down the top and see how much comes out the bottom?) Are the drains in the arches accessible? Sorry for the hijack!! :D
  19. Yep, if only VW had the same kind of vision, to produce a super quick, mean as fook Scirocco. The wimps! I know the "R" is coming, but I don't think it'll have anywhere near the kind of presence that thing has. :(
