  1. Ok, sure. I'll drop you a pm with payment details.
  2. As above, I have a Corrado VR6 air filter housing for sale. This was in my VR6 before being replaced with a BMC. The car has now been sold. Box is undrilled and in good condition. I think there's a filter in it too but it will probably need replacing. I'm after £45 plus P&P which will come in around £7 I reckon. Please reply to this post or drop me a PM if interested. Cheers, Doug
  3. I no longer have my Corrado, but have a full set of oem rear lights in the garage. £30 for the set & I'd estimate at £10 p&p. Drop me a PM if interested (or reply on this thread, I can't remember the selling rules on here!) Cheers, Doug
  4. Did you manage to find one? I'm considering selling mine.
  5. Nice one, just saved me a wedge too, cheers!
  6. Looking good there. The £900 part has certainly made my ears prick up! I'm guessing this is a mate's rates price?
  7. Mystic Storm N15.... Spotted on Ferry Rd in Edinburgh around 8:45 this morning. I followed you all the way up Ferry Rd, though was in the wife's Audi, so you wont have noticed. Looked in great nic & was very shiny :)
  8. Looks like the clip has broken. It's a common problem with a very bad design. Unfortunately, I think you can only get the clip with a whole new cable.
  9. Mine is also attached to my sub box. Works a treat.
  10. Removal on mine was pretty easy as it crumbled away. Now getting the new one in was the nightmare. I too had an aching arm/shoulder for at least a week after trying to do this job. I did this with the front end still on & having since had the front end off, I wish I had removed it for the crack pipe replacement, it would have saved me some pain!
  11. I recently did this on mine with the help of the guides on this very forum. I'm no mechanic, but even I would say this is one of the easier jobs I've done on the Raddo.
  12. Been toying with getting rid of mine as it's been driving me insane over the past few months. I guess most of us Corrado owners go through this at one point or another, but it seems to be one thing after another with this thing. Nothing major admittedly, but just as I get one thing done, another crops up. Bodywork is getting pretty bad on it now so I doubt it's even worth much, but I've been seriously tempted to get shot of it for £2k guaranteed! The only problem is, then I'd have to buy a brand new car & there's nothing I would want in my price range. Not sure I could live with getting it scrapped though, seems like a bit of a waste to me...
  13. Another vote for BBS here. LM, CH, VZ are all sweet (yet expensive!). I also love the RC, but then the Anniversary has them, so you might become an Anniversary wanna-be in other MK4 owners eyes! All the Audi wheels, RS4, RS6 etc look good, though not entirely uncommon.
  14. Fitted a new radiator which was LONG over due. A massive thanks to everyone on this forum for their contributions to a number of posts, in particular, the bumper removal ones. I would never have guessed those bolts were holding the bumper on! Before owing this car I had done next to no car maintenance. Now, with the help of this forum, I've had the car in pieces (a number of times) & managed to get it back together working again! Anyway, fingers crossed this has stopped my leaks, as I've now done the water pump, crack pipe, oil cooler hoses, entire thermostat housing & radiator. I'm really hoping I can start travelling about without making sure I have a bottle of water with me! Cheers again all. Doug
  15. Thats a lovely motor, I too wish I could have one as my daily drive. Used to like the MK4 too, but like a lot of other folk on this thread, think they seem a bit chavvy now. The MK5, however does not in any way look chavvy. Would I be right in saying you're getting royally screwed for road tax with that though?
  16. Impressive stuff ther Rob. I've been amazed at what I've learned by working on mine, but a full engine replacement is in a different league. Keep up the good work with what is quite an impressive motor.
  17. Hmmnnn... Not sure what kind of responses I was expecting, but thats definitely given me some food for thought. I've been for a look & a seat in the 500 & it does seem fairly well built, but there is just something nagging me about buying a Fiat, for all the reasons mentioned above. The other options she's considered are a Mazda 2 or an Ibiza. I know they'll both likely be better built, but at a price. Going to take a good look at those 3 this weekend & see what we think of them. It might come to a trade-off between "coolness" & build quality/reliability. Thanks for all the comments though folks. :)
  18. Bored on Friday afternoon so thought I'd get the opinion of you lot on this one :) I know it's been discussed a bit on this forum, but.... I'm looking to possibly take advantage of the government scrappage scheme & get shot of the old 306. The wife has her heart set on the new Fiat 500 & at the price after the £2k off, it's looking like a tempting proposition. Personally, if it was for me, I'd spend the cash somewhere else & not bother with the scrappage scheme, however, if that's what she fancies, then it seems a shame not to get something out of the government, and get a brand new car into the bargain. Has anyone got an thoughts such a venture?
  19. I believe Jim Phibbs is pretty handy. Might be worth a try?
  20. Damn thats nice. These have been growing on me with every one I see. This has notched it up a few levels. I want one... :)
  21. I bought mine from an ad on this site. I had been browsing for a while before being an owner & saw this site as one of the best places to look. :D
  22. Forgot to add, I missed my MOT expiry by 2 weeks! I was actually tipped off by a copper who ran a check on my car! There had been a break in out the back of my flat & some idiot (me in a rush) had forgotten to close the door properly! He wanted to track me down to see if the raddo had been broken into. Turns out it hadn't been broken into after all & he advised me to check my MOT docs! How lucky was that on both counts! :)
  23. Brake pipes & hoses & the headlight levelling sorted. I never had it adjusted after dropping the suspension! No wonder my lights seemed even worse than usual! Pretty sure I paid over the odds, but the originally wanted to charge me £500! My haggling skills seemed to pay off for once! I tend to keep on top of most of the other jobs needing doing, but brakesa are just something I do not trust myself to touch!! :)
