This morning when i left for work the car felt very odd and seemed to be struggling as i drove away from my house so i pulled over after a couple of miles and got out to investigate and there was a strong smell of burning brakes!! I was at the side of the road wondering what to do then decided to try it again and everything seemed fine. Is it possible they could have been simply frozen as everything else was this morning (doors frozen shut, windscreen frozen and wipers frozen to screen!!) or is this not possible? I had my rear calipers recently taken off and unseized by a local garage only about a month ago. The car seems fine again now, although the hand brake does not seem to be as good as before (it was only 3clicks now approx 7-8!) Cheers Martin

Dunno if this is another common Rado fault that mine has now developed (it seems to have gone thru most of the common faults in the past couple of months!! :( ) but i turned my hazard lights on last night and then could not turn them off again!! The button will not stay pushed down. I have temporarily fixed it by jamming a piece of paper in there. Can i fix this or will i need a new part? Cheers

LOL i remember that!!! Well funny!!!

Wow thats both unlucky for hitting one and lucky for getting off fairly lightly!! Deer have pretty much cost me two cars now, i hit one in my mk3 gti at about 70mph which almost wrote the car off and then indirectly deer (not the same one  ) caused a second accident where the woman in front went round a blind bend then anchored up to avoid hitting a deer and was promptly rear ended by me (in a cr@ppy Ford Orion  )! She said she didnt wanna hit the deer cos she new how much damage they cause, shame she didnt know how much damage i was gonna cause!!! :( I hate them!!! (Deer that is, not women in volvo's....well actually... )

check with your insurer too as some will want a fresh mot done if it has been declared a write off. Best of luck

Nice one, glad i could help! 8)

Yep he did cross the white line. He just popped out and thump. I have photo's of his car and damage. It is obvious I hit him side on so from what I have been told its no contest. Sought of like if you hit somone from behind its always your fault. I'm just worried about the car. If it gets written off on financial grounds I will buy the car back. I have been told that I will lose the reg No and it will have to be registered on a Q plate! Is this true? If so I don't really want it on such a plate. I dont deal with claims but it sounds like you have a case if he has pulled out in front of you! Dont worry, looking at the damage the car wont be q-plated. Best of luck with it, let me know if i can help in any way with any insurance advice for a fellow nugget owner! As i said i dont deal with claims but still may be able to find out! Martin :)

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE

Hi Dave, I received my repair kit about a week ago now, looks a good bit of kit and many thanks for the speedy delivery!! 8) Gonna have a try at fitting it myself cos the instuctions you sent look really good and i think even i can manage it but i was just wondering the best way to remove the actual handle itself? Do i need to take the door card off etc? Hope you dont mind me asking, its normally getting pretty dark by the time i get home so wanna try to save some time by getting a rough idea first! Appreciate your help mate. Martin :) -
Hello mate, We have one of our underwriters (kinetic, who someone has already mentioned) who are doing some really good deals for corrado's at the mo but they wont quote if you are doing more than 10,000miles a year. Any way of getting your mileage under that? PM me your surname, postcode and phone number if you like and i will see if i can improve on what we offered you! 8) Did you mention you were a mod on here? Martin :)

Hi, I have just noticed that my brake warning light stays lit (dimly) all the time. It is hard to see in the daytime but very noticable at night. Its only while the ignition/engine is on and it still comes on much brighter like it should when the handbrake is on. Anyone know why this may be? I know my front discs and pads are getting low and need replacing soon, is it an indicator of this? Dunno if i has anything to do with it but a had my rear calipers freed off the other day and i only noticed the light shortly after i drove thru a fairly large flood yesterday afternoon. Cheers Martin :)

mines on 175000 and still runs sweet with no smoke or rattles, just 1 small oil leak (rocker cover gasket, will be fixed after xmas) and the bodywork is still excellent. Just lately it seems to have been working its way through all the usual Corrado faults tho....broken door handles, rear beam bushes, headlight switch, engine mount etc but still cant grumble at that mileage!! 8)
