I think most Storms were registered as a VR6 so those figures aren't reliable. Can't be too many left now though

I leave my job in a few weeks and one of my colleagues just wandered over to my desk to tell me how much he's going to miss seeing my rado in the car park. Made me smile esp since he used to have the most immaculate (old) Beetle convertible :)

I've always heard very good things about gliptone and it smells lovely too!

It's a bit of a cheat as it's more than one but the suspension overhaul a few years ago is by far the best money I've spent on the car... KW V1s, R32 bushes, new tie rods, ball joints and top mounts, and a Neuspeed rear ARB have made the handling a dream :D

Yep, update is that the car is fixed and I'll be collecting him in a few hours. It was just a fuse at fault! Seems a bit unbelievable that the AA guy missed it, the AA helpdesk guy missed it and the garage missed it. I can only assume that the garage assumed the AA had checked such things! However, they were deeply apologetic and owned up to not spotting this sooner and I think there's a lot to be said about a company which acknowledges something going wrong. For my part, I'm delighted that's all there was to it and that I don't have a bill for £hundreds! I'm really looking forward to getting the car back on the road! :D

I had the same problem! I've always loved Targas (black or white with opposite coloured seats and same coloured piping) but I'd be happy with any 911. 993s probably top the list for me but are too new for this list

Yep it does, although it's become less of a car meet (not least because there are now usually more MX5s there than dubs! I'm not guilty btw...) and more of a chance for the regulars to natter in the pub over a Sunday lunch! It's still very friendly and the attendance does vary but it would be great if some new people turned up, so please come along! I've barely been on the forum in the last year (there were a fair few months where I didn't check it at all) but I'll try to remember to set up a thread for the next one. It's due to be on Sun 24th Feb and I think it starts at 3pm

I'd happily travel to Byfleet for a meet. It would be a good excuse to take the VR for a bit of a run :) Hope you get your Golf back on the road soon - certainly looks like a good one!

My only drive in my C so far this year resulted in being towed to my local garage by the AA. The problem had thrown the AA guy so he had phoned their helpdesk. Apparently the guy on the phone said the usual 'oh cool, a Corrado VR6! You don't see many of those! They're awesome cars!' etc etc. The fact that mine was doing a good sculpture impression didn't seem to bother him! Made me smile and softened that awful feeling of impending expense :D

Ah I love Spirited Away! Must watch some more Studio Ghibli stuff. Just put Appleseed on - thought I'd watch it after all the talk of it today. I've got the sequel too but haven't watched it yet so hope to find time over the weekend. Which film are you watching Sunderland?
