I do too. Off to Thruxton in a couple of weeks. Was there last year too and was such a great day out :D edit: will your C be in the car park Kempy? Was planning to take mine but the windscreen has just cracked and I'm going to have any rust round the aperture treated at the same time, so don't suppose I'll have it back in time :(

Things you hate other people do to your car...
scarlet_vr6 replied to guildmage's topic in General Car Chat
so many things that wind me up! Some have already been said... writing in dust/condensation kicking the speaker covers as people get out or the side seat trims if they're getting out of the back using the top of an open door as an arm rest using the roof as a storage point whilst the boot is opened using the spoiler to open the boot pulling the wipers up when the car is parked - I know this isn't exactly a major thing, but I'd rather they just didn't touch! parking so close that I'm contemplating getting in via the boot not leaving notes with an apology, phone number and insurance details when they hit the car (which is how I've ended up with a dented and now rusted front wing and a bent front bumper :( ) A few months ago one of my best friends swallow-dived onto the (old) bonnet. I've known her for years so she knows just how much time and money have gone into the car, but I saw her slightly drunken state as absolutely no excuse. To say I was livid was an understatement. I know that given the state of that bonnet I probably overreacted but that isn't really the point. I don't think she has been in the car since... What a nice friend I am! -
So chuffed for you Kip, well done! Good work with the boot sticker too :D

Yes, I'd love a set of 263s but really don't think I could afford them at the moment (although that didn't stop me reading this thread...). I think bodywork has to be next on the list and then I can start thinking about nice upgrades like this. I'll keep an eye on this thread though, just in case! agreed! G60 final drive is definitely on my 'want' list. Do you have an LSD too, Pete?

no idea about the clip issue, but wanted to welcome you to the forum and wish you a happy drive home in your VR :)

Hello and welcome to CF! Rear wiper was removed from mine about 5 yrs ago now, but pretty sure I bought bungs from B&Q. Can't remember the size. I had to buy a pack of about 20 and would happily post you one, but I think I've given them all away now. I'll have a look tomorrow.

I'd say keep the cloth - they are definitely my favourites. Alternative would be to wait til I've saved some cash, sell the cloth ones to me and buy yourself the leather ones :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wheel suggestions for a Corrado virgin
scarlet_vr6 replied to larceny fink's topic in Newbies Hangout
good to hear you're enjoying the car (and watching some RXs!) :) If you're worried about putting the speedo out, you could have a look at an online tyre size calculator like this one. I don't think the difference is much. -
The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
scarlet_vr6 replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
^^^ nice! Reminded me that I must book mine in :pale: -
I think the bottom one as well. In fact, it's what I have on my VR. I actually prefer the look of the standard VR wheel as Portent has mentioned, but I don't like the size of it. I've decided that I'm going to change mine but I have no idea what to. I wonder whether I could get my (rather shabby) Race retrimmed to look more OEM? Thanks Anne, I feel more inspired to do something about it now I've read your thread! Welcome to the forum too :)

Ah good! Glad it belongs to someone on here and who was there for the meet. I had just arrived and was saying hello to a couple of my friends who were mucking around under the bonnet of my friend's van when you turned up. I saw you having a smoke and was about to walk over and say hi when you headed off towards the pub so thought I'd catch up with you inside, but missed you! We're a very friendly bunch, so do come to the next meet (last Thurs of each month, so 26th April sounds about right) and hopefully you'll be able to stay for more than a few mins! :)

Had a brilliant time today! Thanks all 8) Having been really rubbish last year and making only 2 shows at the beginning of the season, I am really enthusiastic about this summer and today has only made me even more impatient! Great to catch up with old friends and lovely to make some new ones too. Thanks also to Jim for letting me drive his VR but now I've realised I need to part with more cash and buy some cams and a(nother) remap! Will post my pics soon (hopefully tomorrow) if any are half decent. SPLITTERS!!!
