  1. before and after pics taken at BJV. Much happier with the RXs  The C in the background belongs to MattWilde who I hope doesn't mind having his car in my photo. I'll be posting a couple more pics when the car is clean.. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfresized BBS RX fitted 02-08-08 002.jpg[/attachment:2z4ur3db] resized BBS RX fitted 02-08-08 011.jpg[/attachment:2z4ur3db] in desperate need of coilies now but happy with this month's progress! good to hear that yours will be with you soon Bill
  2. yep I've got them back but been totally rubbish about posting pix :nono: will get myself sorted and post them tonight Thanks Phil, I am very chuffed with them :D
  3. only a mini-chuftie but chuffed nonetheless... :D have been in training for the last 2 days so sadly didn't see it myself but a colleague told me that some visitors turned up at work and before reporting to reception, they spotted my car and were having a good look around it. Must have been the new wheels that did it!
  4. not tight Karl, just that I don't think I have ever met anyone who finds as many bargains as you! Under £30!!!! What's your secret, or do you just window shop a lot? :D Hope the house move went ok and you can now focus on the car again!
  5. yep that sort of thing sounds familiar too. I remember someone coming in with a pair of heels which she wanted her new 911 to match
  6. haha, yes I think you're going to be right about the RXs and stilts look. Mine still has standard suspension so you can judge by the pics I'll be putting up soon  Good to hear you sorted that clunking and some of the wobble. Looking fwd to the post-clay pics, that's a job I really enjoyed doing on mine partly because it made such a difference :)
  7. Hi Sean_Jaymo. Thanks very much for that advice. The wheels are already down at BJV but I will remember that next time :)
  8. That looks lovely, really like that colour. Sounds like you're as pleased with yours as I was when I got mine :D Good choice in the RXs too, mine will hopefully be on this weekend... Golf looks tidy too
  9. oh I hadn't realised you already had it. I get overly attached to cars - 3 years is the shortest time I've kept a car and I only sold that one (a rocco) to buy my rado  Hope next year's class are as good..
  10. good to hear that all is going well with the vRS Andy. You will have to stick with this one until you can get another C as your username is almost right again  What a cool class 8)
  11. wow! I had no idea that you were rebuilding the entire car Chris. It looks fantastic! :salute:
  12. I'll be going to BJV from Oxford and then back - I have to be there before 8am to have my tyres swapped from my current wheels to the RXs. Pretty early start for a saturday!! It'll be worth it though :D I'm looking forward to that whole day
  13. Went to BJV this morning to collect my wheels but no joy :( :( Something had baked into the lacquer on one of them whilst they were in the oven so having to be redone. Came home without my new wheels and have another 100 mile round trip to do next weekend now. Really disappointed :( At least I know they will be right in the end though
  14. There is also http://www.perftec.com edit: just looked at their new catalogue and it doesn't seem as broad as before. They used to do loads of stuff inc some cool Golf Mk1 and Mk2 stuff which I can't see now..
  15. Don't know about on a Rado but that steering wheel was a factory option in Germany around that time. Goldie's Golf has that steering wheel (minus whatever the red bit is) and it's on the original purchase order.
  16. lucky you! would love to go out in one. Glad it lived up to expectations :D
  17. just go in and ask. I was working for Volvo at the time and had my payslip to prove it but the guy didn't ask to see it. You never know, it might be worth a try
  18. nicely done Judith, looking fwd to seeing this one again now that you've done so much improving 8) I started doing my rear wheel arches this weekend too in honour of my new RXs. Funnily enough, they aren't even half as clean as yours... oh and no matter what bit of the car I'm cleaning, I get covered too
  19. Both look good but the RXs have the edge for me (biased? me?) :D
  20. agreed, that's why I was getting on with them too! I like seeing the quick and cheap results after some cleaning work. Only prob was that I ended up with backache from doing the door shuts and cleaning the reservoirs - not so relaxing this time, but well worth it!
  21. sadly not :( I plan to take them to BJV that morning
  22. hmmm.. double post
  23. imo, the immobiliser is the important bit. I can't ever remember seeing anyone pay any attention to a car alarm going off. I decided to hire a garage to keep it a bit safer. I realise it can still be taken easily but at least it helps keep away spur of moment vandalism/theft. I got my garage from one of the local housing agencies and it costs just under a tenner a week. Hope this helps. Enjoy your C and welcome to the forum :D
