  1. how about the Corrado Cabrio? I know herisites has just seen the one in the museum. I like...
  2. good work Karl, it's coming along nicely! Bet you can't wait....... btw, what are you driving to Prescott?
  3. Happy birthday Karl - an R32 is quite a present to yourself! Good to see it's in the bay now, step 1 completed :salute:
  4. sounding promising  hope you get to a price you're both happy with
  5. good to hear that yours has sailed through the MOT :) I'm too much a realist to even dream of mine not having advisories
  6. I used to sell cars and I'd have preferred 'salesman' - Alfa Romeo Sales Executive made for some unfortunate initials underneath my name on my business cards.....
  7. Hi there, I'm sure you already know about the Storm edition but I'd check the chassis number with VW just to check it's the real deal as I've heard of the odd one or two which have been described as Storm spec or just had the badges put on. I couldn't see the pic you had taken but a Storm should be either Mystic Blue with black leather or Classic Green with cream leather. There are a few differences which set the Storm aside from a normal VR for example a colour coded front grille and BBS Solitudes, although you've said that it has new wheels anyway. (I hope I've got all this right  ) As for checking round the car, have a read of the Corrado Buying Guide. Aside from all that, have a run out and enjoy the noise as much as the rest of us VR owners do! I hope you've found a good one :D best of luck ps. welcome to the forum
  8. some great pix there and looking very good, esp like the two with low cloud. Welcome btw...
  9. lol - I haven't got photoshop! Very chuffed with my new shoes too - my first pair of red shoes (about time really!) and some black patent ones, both with silly heels even if they are for work  I like shoe shopping! Have to get the RXs smartened up before they can be worn though - hope I can have it all done before the National Day :D
  10. Hi Chris - in the end I didn't need the rack. I went somewhere else and was told it was fine so it's new home is my garage floor. Ought to sell it really...
  11. I've got them!! Proof that it is possible to fit 5 rims and tyres in the boot of a rado 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfBBS RX in boot.jpg[/attachment:1p3xvhpz] I'm not putting them on the car until they've been refurbed so for now I've only got pix of them leaning up against the car. It doesn't help that the car's filthy, the wheels are filthy, the car's on a slope and the tyres are too big but........ BBS RX 8.jpg[/attachment:1p3xvhpz]
  12. thanks guys. On my way to collect them shortly   @ John - my 2 pairs totalled £100 so they were considerably cheaper!I've thoroughly enjoyed my week of shoe shopping :Fade-color Kip, I'd be very upset if the day came that saw non-std wheels on yours, not that I think that day will ever happen!! As much as I want to personalise my C, it's very important to still have superb examples of how they all started life Ben, it was on seeing yours at Stanford that made me go from 'want RXs' to 'must have RXs and soon'! What a beautiful car yours is Vaughan, glad you're getting loads of +ve comments too. Lowering would def help on mine too but I haven't worked out which coilies to go for yet (nor do I have any money to go towards them now...)
  13. Since I have a new job, I bought myself some new shoes.... and then I thought it was hardly fair to buy myself some but not Bosun so................ ............I'm collecting these tomorrow        RXs.jpg[/attachment:1l3o5l2w] To say I'm looking forward to it is an understatement  :D  I was looking at Audi wheels mostly cos I thought I could pick them up a bit cheaper but these came up for sale on E38 and I couldn't say no. Tomorrow I will find out if 5 RXs inc. tyres fit in the boot of a rado  Many, many thanks to Billcor for pointing them out on here as I would never have found them myself :notworthy:
  14. nicely done, look forward to seeing how you get on... oh, and I'm still sorry for nicking your name
  15. That will be fun in a few yrs. Reckon it'll make our rear spoiler issues so insigificant. That doesn't stop me praying that mine isn't about to go every time I hit 56 though....
  16. I've never driven a Clio, but I know I'd rather have one than a Stilo... poor girl....
  17. and is it just me or is only one headlight working?? on the plus side, thumbs up for the company for using a quality car :)
  18. yes, but I only managed to break stuff........ :mad2:
  19. well Karl, they're looking a just a little bit better than last time I saw them! I've never seen RCs in any dark colour before and they look good, look forward to seeing them in the metal soon. Very pleased it all worked out in the end
  20. thanks to Neal (87 Jetta 16v) for the starter motor and a good chat!
  21. good to see the improvements Judith. Think you need to put your steering wheel on the right way up too
  22. thanks to Karl (KADVR6) for an easy sale of my RCs. I find it especially awkward selling to friends so thanks for making it simple. Looking forward to seeing the results :D
  23. thanks Ross. BP Rolls are one of our customers - I wonder if they'll do me a good deal?! I've been to VW in Basingstoke, just have to wait for the written quote to come through the post now..
