I haven't used it but also heard plenty of people recommend it. I've found that Autoglym car glass polish works well too
-
no need to lock the doors - why would we want to look at your doors when there's the distraction of what's under the bonnet

pmsl! think I'd try to blag it on mystic being such a dark colour etc etc...... that's true Karl! My excuse is mine needs a lot of time spent since it's still a daily and it shows! Yes I can't wait til the RXs go on - I'm doing the sensible thing though and waiting til I've been paid before getting them refurbed. I spent too much money on the centre caps, bolts, lockers and valves to afford it this month. It'll be worth it in the end... :D

paintwork looks excellent already 8)

lol Judith, I bet yours are better than that anyway! I doubt I'll want to go anywhere near cleaning stuff on sun morning (or is that the cost of an overnight stay??!!)
-
that looks lovely Mrs B, your plans sound good too. Looking fwd to seeing how it turns out!

another tick in the box for you and you're still in the lead Adz

Very pleased with my car at the mo.. I've got new wheels on the way and I'll have that Magnex soon so over the weekend I decided to start some of the jobs I've been meaning to get round to for months. I finally replaced the foliage cover and seal and I also fitted a Jetex pollen filter (thanks to Yan and Supercharged for the guide in the wiki as I would never have known how to or thought to do this otherwise :notworthy: ), I started some minor engine bay cleaning (reservoirs, engine covers and so on), I unblocked the drain hole behind the petrol cap and I've bought some smart folders for the service history. Finally I cleaned the door shuts which were disgusting. I don't suppose they had ever been cleaned and seeing the difference was very satisfying. registered (again)

I would also like to thank Philip - I ordered 5 BBS centre caps, wheel bolts, lockers and valve caps and received them all the following day :salute: He even gave me advice on what to go for and some general chat about the BBS wheels which are available now a few days before I placed my order. PW Motorsport would def get my recommendation

I'm not quite in Oxford but since I travel there quite regularly, I've joined too
-
It's all thanks to other forum members spending my money, in this case it was Billcor who put the post up! Well, I've made a decision and placed an order with Philip at PW for a set of BBS carbon centre caps with silver lettering, a set of bolts and lockers and a set of BBS valve caps. Should be with me tomorrow ...

well, my trusty (sometimes) steed hit 150k shortly after leaving Prescott yesterday. Just before hitting that milestone... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfcropped resized CCGB Nat Day 29 June 08 Prescott Hill Climb 023.jpg[/attachment:noyg484p] resized CCGB Nat Day 29 June 08 Prescott Hill Climb 041.jpg[/attachment:noyg484p] Still haven't done anything with those wheels - just deciding where to get them refurbed but really struggling to make a decision about the centre caps. I've def decided on silver lettering but don't know if I want the rest to be black or carbon fibre... I'm so indecisive
-
Like Judith I have no advice to give, but very sorry to see this. I was just admiring (the pass side) photo I took of your C yesterday as well :(
-
Hi Vaughan, didn't have time to say hello at Prescott today but thought your C looked lovely. The RXs look v good - even more glad that I've got some now even though mine isn't lowered yet!
-
bit off topic but... Happy Birthday Charlie :new-bday:
-
I agree -it's certainly my favourite colour. Looks like you've got a tidy C there John. Def get the pics up when all clayed and polished :)
-
looking very nice millerman. Great colour (but then I'm biased  )
-
well good luck to him! Good luck to you too, hope you find one soon
-
took me a moment but yes I've found it. Good effort to get that photo! :salute: The furthest afield I've seen one is Dubai. I know someone over there posts on here, but it wasn't him I spotted
-
sounds good. Looking fwd to seeing the pics. Let me know how you get on with that Miltek will you? I want to replace the exhaust soon and decided on Magnex ages ago but always interesting to hear about others people's experiences before you commit to buy.. Enjoy!

I got all that stuff from Phillip @ PW. Give him a bell, super nice chap to deal with 8) He does a 'fitting kit' which includes 16 BBS bolts & 4 BBS security bolts which look smart. I sprayed mine cos ive got black rims but they come silver.... Hope to have them ready for Sat (Prescot) so you can nosey at mine if you like??[/quote:1y0mghnz] Can't believe I forgot to call him today  only had a short lunch break but that's still no excuse!! Like the sound of that fitting kit and yes please Chris, I'll def have a peak at those on sunday. Yes I'll def be parking miles from curbs and I expect the old taxi joke from any passengers... Not sure Rob would be too impressed with suddenly finding out the blackberry he's driving has dodgy paint on the bonnet and rear bumper, black slam panel and front bumper and not enough bolts in his wheels, not to mention all the rest of the bad bits on my car!! I think he was still running on those Brocks last time I saw his car - that's my not-copying excuse and I'm sticking to it lol
-
Thanks v much Karl - you'd better ignore the pm I've just sent you about that! :thumbleft:
-
lol - they will be staying silver. I'm after new centre caps, bolts and lockers too - I want them to look perfect before they go on. Wonder how long before I curb them?? :pale: haven't had time to get them sorted before the nat day unfortunately
-
very sorry to hear about this. I agree with Andy - theft is bad but vandalism as well just goes beyond :mad2: gl getting it sorted soon
