  1. Well, since I've been on here over a year and had my car for over 2.5 years, I think it's about time I have a members thread... Mine is a 95 M plate blackberry VR6, which I bought with very few mods. He had BBS RCs (in appalling condition), a Momo Race s/wheel and also added was a sub, amp and 6-disc changer. Other than that, he was standard. In hindsight, I wish I had bought a better one but isn't hindsight a wonderful thing??! I know a lot more now and didn't have CF to fall back on then. I won't ever sell this one, but next time I buy a C, I'll be a bit wiser. Shortly after purchase... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfCornwall 23-07-05 - 05-08-05 181.jpg[/attachment:2xh5lxbo] climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfBosun at Porsche NSF 2.jpg[/attachment:2xh5lxbo] Since then, aside from a few k miles, I've only got around to a few bits and pieces. Maintenance-wise, he's had a bit of money spent - rear beam bushes, front to rear and rear brake pipes, front wishbones, heater matrix, tensioner and radiator have been replaced along with more minor stuff including sorting various oil and coolant leaks....... There have been a few cosmetic changes: FK grille, 90mm chin spoiler, dewipered rear, delocked door handles, clear repeaters, the BBS RCs had to make way for Team Dynamics Equinox as one of the RCs split. I also 'modified' the front bumper and shattered the chin spoiler hence the black bumper. Someone also dented a front wing in a car park (and didn't leave a note) but my replacement is red so it's living on the garage floor until I can afford a respray. The only other change is a BMC CDA. (oh and a CCGB sticker, haven't got forum ones yet ) I owe a few thank yous for help with most of the above... :notworthy: more recently..... DSC00067.JPG[/attachment:2xh5lxbo] I have just about saved up enough for a Magnex which is next on the list, but I've decided to play it safe and wait until after the MOT in a few weeks. Lowering is required of course - I'm getting very tired of the tractor look, but my exhaust is on the way out. In fact, it might be an MOT failure anyway. I'd also really like to change the wheels again. I wouldn't mind the RCs back (in decent condition and not the horrible champagne colour that they were) and at the moment I'm quite taken by the Audi 6-spokes, whatever they're called. There's a ton of stuff I'd like to do actually, but one step at a time...
  2. Save the Rado!! Well said Karl! would be sad to see another good one go 3corsameal, hope you manage to find a way to keep it
  3. ah, pics at last  looking very good 8) but imo the 3 bar grille should be top of the shopping list! I know it can be good to be a bit different sometimes but I agree with Cazza that it dates it too much. Good luck with it all.
  4. blackberry!! good choice! (like the porker too..)
  5. seems only right to me that you've ended up with it after it gave you the bug initially. Nice one!
  6. enjoy & I don't blame you at all - a few days after I got mine I went for a week away to cornwall with my friends and only ended up drinking on 1 night cos I wanted to drive all the time... they all thought I was mad of course like your sig comment btw, I'm just about to finish paying off my student loans. 2 payments to go and then £100 more each month to throw at the car  (1st purchases... MOT (bound to cost a fortune), insurance and tax :( )
  7. that looks lovely. Without wishing to echo everyone else.. nice colour :) bet you can't wait til saturday
  8. PICTURES!!!!!!!! congrats for getting her on the road btw :) might see you round Ox sometime
  9. thought you might say that! You still there? Heya, Yeah Im still there. How are you doing mate. :offtopic1: sorry... yeah all good thanks. Back in the motor trade now, but at a truck and bus place this time. Can't keep away!!
  10. never driven a TT but I do like the look of them. My mum has a 944 (not an S2 tho) which I've driven a fair bit. I thought it was great when I had my rocco but now, the only I thing I prefer about her car is the driving position. Oh and the heater works properly
  11. I much prefer the font on the German plates. My set haven't even made it onto the car yet and I'm not going to bother at the moment, guess they'll have to be for meets only :(
  12. nooooo, don't sell the 944! My mum has one which I drive from time to time and it's lovely. Well it's a wreck really and nowhere near as nice as my rado but 944s must be on the dying out list too. Do them both up!!
  13. I bought mine 2nd hand but try giving Vince at Stealth a call, I'm under the impression that he sells them as a kit for the Corrado...
  14. Enzo? saw one of those last weekend - had a lovely day at Beaulieu... I can see some similarities between the noses of the two cars. Alfa is more rounded though. You're lucky, I've never seen an Enzo in the metal before. sounds like you need a trip to Beaulieu then! Might be miles away from you though. The Enzo was in their current Supercars display. Also included... Cobra, F40 and McLaren F1 GTR with remarkably familiar wingmirrors..
  15. mine's running without a cold air feed. Not sure that's the best of ideas but it still sounds great, so I'm happy!
  16. on first glance, I preferred the black centres, but having looked again, I'm not sure! The silver shows off the design better and it would be a shame to hide it even slightly.. so unhelpful lol
  17. That Alfa is heartbreakingly lovely, and I know I'm going to be shot down for saying this, but every time I see it I just think Enzo. There's just something about the front end. It's no carbon copy I can see that, but it just reminds me of an Enzo. :? Enzo? saw one of those last weekend - had a lovely day at Beaulieu... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfBeaulieu 19-01-07 028.jpg[/attachment:r8armwe8] sorry to be a little off-topic but this was my fave car there, well worthy of a mention IMHO Beaulieu 19-01-07 032.jpg[/attachment:r8armwe8]
  18. if I was obscenely rich, I'd buy up stuff like that. How cool to have that tucked up somewhere! It would have to have a (driveable) sister though, always wanted a go in one of those...
  19. nicely done Andy, and a couple of mods too... bet you were looking forward to driving a C again. Wish I had the knowledge to do this sort of work!
  20. wow, what a difference! Good to see that another one has ended up with someone who cares... Do you have any plans?
  21. at least there's a nice bug in this pic...
