Hi Use some mild carb cleaner to clean the maf sensor to rule it out.

Hi The top single one is grey. The next line down, the middle one is red. Can you see any numbers at the back of the switch or on the plug like 30,15, 50, X, and P ?

Hi Thats what the guy at Bosch UK told me. It makes sense. All the oil and crankcase particles will jam the shaft. -

Hi The black stuff can come off with carburettot cleaner. The ISV should NOT be lubed. -

Hi Thank you very much for your input. That is very interesting. I am now going to bury my head into the electrical diagrams for the idle stabilisation control unit to see how it detects the electrical load.

Hi What spec is the rado. How do you know everything is good upto that point?

HI Do you know, I am sure you will, what cranking signal the FEI unit on a 16v 1.8 KR uses to activate the fuel pump relay ?

HI Try an ignition coil from a mates car.

Hi Apparently GSF ignition switches dont last long. Get a VAG switch and do not have heavy keys on the key ring.

Hi You should hear the fuel pump priming . My money is on the ignition switch.
