  1. I love American muscle cars, new and old. I've wanted a Cobra since I was a small lad, but wouldn't say no to a Charger, Mustang or Stingray. A fella a few doors down from me is restoring an old american car. I forget what it is, its not a bona fide muscle car, but still has a 5 and a bit litre hemi under the bonnet! It does look pretty agricultural tho and not very efficient. Incidentally, he also has a spare 7.2l with gearbox if anyone fancies a project! Ive been told it does run but he doesn't have a starter motor to be able to prove that it does.
  2. until someone asks if you have a vr6 and you have to reply "no, its a 1.4" :epicfail:
  3. my advice is run away! sounds like a bullsh*t artist to me trying to pass off a broken car as a modded monster. but the karmann interior is an added 20 bhp...
  4. My mum says I'm big boned... and thats why my thighs hurt when i walk[/quote:1uv8afm4] Your mum says I've got a big boner. That's why her thighs hurt. Mike - get yerself another rado!
  5. Change as soon as possible for peace of mind! This would be first on my list if I ever bought a G-banger. g60greeny, you did well to escape with no damage. Result!
  6. This week I have been mostly listening to Cosmosis. [youtube:izj1hrcb]GtKpmCp2ovc[/youtube:izj1hrcb]
  7. M15 VW used to own a Z charger, maybe you could drop her a PM. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=72922
  8. Ok... Explosions? Check. Gunfights? Check. Fisticuffs? Check. Car chase? Check. No crappy love scenes? Check. Humour and funny one-liners? Check. I give up, how could it have delivered more? Free beer? I just found it all to be more style than substance, and not very good style at that, with that line-up it should have been an awesome film. But you don't really find out why they are the Expendables, nor feel any particular connection with any of the characters. I had real trouble actually understanding Sly and his chats with Statham felt tacked on. The only good character was Rourke's and he was just a bit player. The fights were quite poor, too much camera movement and cutting meant they weren't involving enough. And as for humour, I think I only laughed once in the whole film. I expected a lot from this film and was disappointed, imo The A-Team was much more enjoyable. So there
  9. Expendables 6/10. Could have delivered much more.
  10. No, you'll kill your battery and probably burn out the starter. He means let it idle. Unless its really hot weather to evaporate the water it'll take a few days it would be better to run the engine and dry it out like that. If you already had issues before this then it could be prudent to replace sparks and leads and maybe even the dizzy, but try taking them off and drying with rags in the area and WD40ing first as has already been said. Don't feel like a nonce, its a mistake a lot of people make.
  11. I would go round the entire bay and check every electrical connection one by one just to be safe. If you pressure washed it the water could have got anywhere, they're made to clean patios not engine bays!
  12. It's not true, just had more than 10 quotes from gocompare and if you tick import or local there was no different to the price or different was very unnoticeable. Ah well apologies then, but it certainly used to be the case.
  13. GTR. No contest. I've been looking at them recently on Pistonheads as I've wanted one for a long time now. Unfortunately they're still as expensive as they were 5 years ago when I last looked and are still out of my price range. Its also worth bearing in mind that as Jim said, not many were sold over here so most are grey imports from Japan and cost more to insure.
  14. K&N do a dry filter sock type solution for this. When I had my charger I used a 180 degree samco hose to get the filter as high up as possible. The other option is to get Vince at Stealth to map it without a maff as the water that gets sucked up through the filter usualy kills the maff and thats what causes everyone these issues with chargers and wet weather. Ideally you want a maf... I agree about it getting soaked tho, mine got really filthy really quickly. I did eventually extend the piping a bit more to tuck it behind the bumper more away from the wheel. Looked into the dry sock thing but never got round to it.
  15. Centurion 6.5/10 Not bad for a lowish budget English film, very bloody and violent but a bit predictable.
  16. Aw nuts. :mad2: I'm going out to my usual metal club tonight and they got a promo on for Final Frontier, but sounds like it ain't gonna be so great. Better get steaming then :drinking: Its ok, not great but better than the last one.
  17. Looks nice! I'm not really a fan of the rear lights, but its a great colour. What's yer plans for it?
  18. Whenever I see one of those Maserarti's in the flesh I'm always slightly dissapointed......in pictures they look amazing but in real life the body seems to dwaf the wheels which makes it look at odds  I went in one of those a few weeks back. A lot of noise, not very much else happened - my mate was accelerating and it sounded like he was trying pretty hard but in reality a Fiesta was pulling away from us! Tho I guess if he really wanted he could have done it with the 400 odd bhp  I would go for some kind of Porsche or an AC Cobra (replica obviously).
  19. Been listening to the new Iron Maiden album. Poo. Bruce's voice has lost it, he can't hit the high notes anymore that gave Maiden a distinctive feel, I'm not a fan of the long intros either. I am gutted, there hasn't been a good album since ooh....Fear Of The Dark which was 12 years ago? And that wasn't amazing.
  20. Haha, locking wheel nut fail. I don't understand why people don't take brakes as well, they are worth a few hundred quid as well!
  21. Yeah, I think maybe one or two are on here. Which one do you have? Have you tried the search? I do know one was sold not too long ago with a load of info and pictures. You may also want to search for Jimmi and Mave. They don't really come on here anymore but both had press cars and their threads may shed a bit of light on the subject.
  22. You sir, are a legend. :salute:  Tho I'm surprised you still have your testicles.
