  1. Model T, GT40, Capri, Mustang, Falcon, RS200, T-bird,Transit....to name but a few highly influential cars not made by Cossie.
  2. I've had 32! Wheels that is. In my entire history of cars. :D Original Mk1 wheels on my Mk1. Original Astra mk2 steels Original Astra Mk3 Gsi alloys OZ superturismo (valver) RS4 reps (VR) Compomotive Monos (VR) Borbet A (VR) Speedlines (VR)
  3. Ah, what a bummer you have to run the 301s  Another vote for Speeds here, mine may be a bit scabby, but they still look cool. 8)

  5. I was doing that for the 2 and 1/2 years i had the car till i locked up and almost went into the back of a corsa the other day... that pukkered up my ahole! so i decided to send it to Jason... actually... i'd recomend him to you mate... he's in croydon... Mayday Auto Center just off Addiscombe Road...[/quote:z0nydrqg] I know the one mate, I work on the next road along! That's a bit of a freaky coincidence considering you live in Fleet.
  6. That's a bit of a sh*tter...you should be like me, my abs doesn't work and I choose to ignore it. Its a much simpler, stress free solution. :D
  7. yeah, they're for rounded off bolts. you hammer them on and they grip the rounded head allowing you to remove them without drilling etc.
  8. hmm dig um out. :) I will have a look later mate, right now I need to see a man about a dog. Well, a mortgage really.
  9. Saw this at GTi Summer this year, awesome car. 8) I should have a few photos of under the bonnet hidden away on the laptop somewhere.
  10. Shell... depends what's still on it really. Anything from 100 for a bare one to 350 for a rolling shell with windows? Knackered engine....depends what's wrong and what's on it. 50-150. Incidentally, I'll be after an old block soon, condition unimportant (its getting turned into a top gear stylee table).... All these prices are off the top of my head what I'd be prepared to pay. No doubt someone else will come along soon and tell me I'm wrong. :D
  11. Gah, don't say that. Anyone wanna buy a stage II Vortech? btw, loving the car Pete. Sick pic of the engine!
  12. spot on bmw must be there with the m cars especially the e30 and my all time Favourite car is the e type Meh, there's no denying the E-type is a lovely car, but apart from the XJ220, what other lovelies have they done? No other really amazing cars for me.
  13. I'm kind of in the same boat/barge. So far the only solution I've found is stiffening the rear a lot which helps but I still get understeer washout when applying power out of a corner. So its pretty crummy advice really and I'd be glad to hear advice as well! :D
  14. Love the Dangermouse reference! 8) For extra brownie points, name his pet and his henchman..no Googling either!
  15. I've got an odd one.... I was tooling around in free play in my S class Corrado. I then went back into Career and chose a tournament to race in between my R2 championship races. It was a VW only tournament at class D. But I could still play in my S class rado, and it didn't say I needed to change cars or downgrade. How come this happened? I ended up thrashing everyone and lapping quite a few cars too.
  16. The Autocar review. [youtube:x3uz75el]WfNfwNWWphI[/youtube:x3uz75el]
  17. That was a good one, I'm glad those pompous Scalextric enthusiasts got their butts whooped. You're not gonna start a slot car tuning company then? I liked it because I think it's the first one I've seen where the people actually wanted to help him do it. I got 2 boxes worth of track in the loft I'm gonna chuck cos I never use it and its well old too! :( I think the people wanted to help as its a modern toy that is still very popular and actually does something, rather than being a static piece of steel that you need to bolt together.
  18. That was a good one, I'm glad those pompous Scalextric enthusiasts got their butts whooped.
  19. Its a simple matter of economics Kris...£175 - 15% Vat = £152ish. Divide by 4 = £38 per corner. Thats before you consider sellers profit, manufacturers profit...so we'll call that £30. Divide by 2 for separate springs and dampers...that about £15 per component, not including cost of manufacturing....so you see the actual money for each part is virtually nothing. Given the Rado's naturally good handling I think you'd be trading off handling quality for a height drop. I'd either save your pennies for a decent kit, wait till someone sells some coillies second hand or buy some lowering caps. My 2p.
  20. I enjoyed this episode much more than last weeks, I found "Geoff" to be particularly amusing, espcially the MIRA tests. But I dunno why they keep saying its a top secret test track, I've been there along with about 500 others from the Coventry Classic Car fest thing. I actually thought the Star in the Car was OK this week, Michael Sheen is a very friendly, easygoing, likeable fellow, unlike the wooden Eric Bana.
  21. My stocker was doing ok till I went to Santa Pod! Now its a bit juddery
  22. Hats off to you for saving this car and persevering after the fire. A lesser man (like myself) would have probably resorted to swearing and sledgehammers by now! I never realised it was in such a state tho, Ugly Bloke kept that quiet!
