No idea about fuel pumps, it would make sense that you need to use a VR one but if you plan on using a VR lump in a valver body then you will need VR wings, bonnet, and all the widetrack stuff like hubs, driveshafts, subframe etc. To go OBD2 requires a load of wiring to be done, not sure what but apparently it takes a long time and can be a bit of a pig as you will have to first get your obd2 wired up to the the obd1 then wire it into the car... at least that's how i see it anyway, sure someone will be along soonish to correct me :D and no offense mate, but a few full stops here and there will make your posts much easier to understand and therefore more likely to get a response.

Cheers fella, appreciated. :salute:

Yeah it did, and also Renshaws was on these shores for a while as many people already know. Well if you ever meet him can you tell him I want to buy his english number plate if he has it on retention? I tried to buy it off Campaign before he sold the car but it didn't work out for some reason.
-
Didn't Campaign's Campaign VR6 go over there too?

You lot are a bunch of pansies!!!!! You've seen my arms mate - 10 1/2 stone weakling! Not all of us have the advantage of having that 'farmer physique'...i work in an office and was brought up in Purley! Anyway, I've renamed my technique 'the beseeching monk' :dorky:

Yes, that is normal. The weight of the axle and wheels will cause the piston to fully extend before it start to lift the wheel...though yours does look a little high/extended as long it goes back to where you started at its all good. No idea about the other Q tho, sorry mate. You should be able to get them level tho - is it the drivers side that sits higher?

Over the weekend I got a 2.5" decat exhaust fitted, wired up my amp with decent connectors, topped up the fluids and took her for a spirited drive! Zorst is a bit rumbly at town speeds but I quite like that.

If you wanna see some epic fail bodykits, check out some of these from Germany last year. :pukeright: All kinds of wrong going on there!

Looking fly Wayne, I need to pop over and check your progress some time. Did you finish the interior in the end?

I have 288s with standard (as in VR Golf not VR Corrado) discs and redstuffs and they're great. The bite is much better than my old 280s. I actually have confidence to be able to brake hard now, not half a mile from where I want to stop! I'm pretty sure you won't get away with just fitting a bigger disc as it will foul the callipers.

That and a 3" is 200 quid more. :cuckoo:

Cheers man, really appreciate that. :salute:

Hey guys, just a quick q, I can't use the search as I'm at work and have to be quick, sorry mod squad! What's the standard bore size for the VR? I only ask as I want to get a fatter one for me charged VR, but don't know whether to go for 2.5" or 3"!
-
Yeah, better condition than i was expecting, sounds fine to me.
-
I wouldn't bother getting them refurbed, I reckon the money you spend on it you won't get back. Better to sell them for 50-100 and let the new owner deal with it.

London to Southampton and back. (lots) London to Salisbury and back. (lots) London to Stealth and back. (twice) London to Germany and back. (once) I never see any bloody rados. :(

Did you get this sorted buddy? Sorry, I didn't see it. But yeah, it would make sense that they adjsuted it too far for 1st, which would make 4th hard to engage. Have a play around, you can always mark it with a bit of tippex or something if you're concerned about not getting it back in postion that you started with. Jim. -
WINNER! Glad to see you didn't break it mate. :salute:

deep-fried look more like. shame. still, live and learn eh. :pale:

You have obviously never been to my local then. Muppets ain't the word for it.... I find the 2-handed 'squash' approach quite effective. Use the heels of your hands to push towards eachother on either side of the cap, like you're squashing an orange. And a pair of grippy rubber gloves will help too.
