  1. Now my idle has gone the other way! When I got home from work it was idling at about 1400rpm! the engine was very hot (fan had kicked in). What are the chances of these being related?
  2. I've noticed when mine resets it does so at the same time as a relay click. To be honest I havent looked into it, but suppose I'll get round to it :D
  3. I have this problem, Just live with it now although I suspect it might be a relay sticking or something
  4. I was told that although 4 pot chargers flow better, 6 pot were the stronger. Have I been misinformed  As for making it breath easier, your first purchase should be an RSR outlet. Then it will be things like having your throttle body knife edged. Head work can get pretty pricey. I'm now saving to get the manifold, head and cam all changed at once.
  5. Sorry dude but I think your :censored: stupid for driving an uninsured, un-MOT'd car on the road. Regardless of distance. After all the effort and hard work that has gone into this car I would have thought it wasnt worth the risk. I respect the work you've done and I'm very impressed at the short amount of time it took, but why then throw it all away at the possiblity of getting pulled by the fuzz?
  6. Fluke, now there's a term I havent heard in a while
  7. Very nice dude, cars looking superb and sounds amazing.
  8. Cool, are you staying with a G60 then?
  9. Looks like I best get saving :D Just out of interest, how come your selling them?
  10. I think that little lot will be a good starts thanks, unless you have a spare P+P head and manifold  Recon the charger will have a health check before a 65mm pulley. Just out of interest, could I fit that lot straight away or would I be best waiting til I got the head/cam/manifold?
  11. Right, For the last couple of days it seems to have been running fine. I decided to clean the ISV with carb cleaner and was surprised at the amount of crud that was flushed out. I also changed the plugs. Car started fine and I let her idle for a bit, then the problem returned :censored: Revs slowly dropped, until it was struggling to run. Then it sounded like popping inside the exhaust. I unplugged the blue temp sensor and the revs picked up before slowly dropping off again. I swapped the blue and black temp plugs over and then noticed that the temp guage wasn't working. Does all of this point towardsthe blue temp sensor? I think so but the more I think about it the more I talk myself into the fact it is probably something else  :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: Cheers
  12. I currently have an SNS chip for my stage 4 charger and 68mm pulley. I wouldnt mind getting a new chip in allow for the new intercooler. Give me a shout when your ready to sell that lot, I'll have them off you :D It'll be a nice start to my next step :norty:
  13. Thanks for all the advice Mr Judge. I guess I'll have to save up a bit and get all these at once :D Would I need to then change the injectors at the same time too?
  14. I've got 18" A8's on my Mk4 and think they suit it well. Suppose it will all depend on your budget.

Those yellow plates look awesome. :notworthy: I wonder how long I could run some before the fuzz pulled me
  16. cool thanks for the advice, i'll keep my eyes peeled for these, once I've managed to fix my little idle problem :?
  17. Attempt 2 looks superb. Shame to hear about attempt 1 after so much effort but looks like you've replaced it with a stunning example
  18. You can also get a trade card if you hold any form of engineering qualification, I managed to blag on with a Level 3 NVQ in aircraft engineering, didnt even ask to see any proof of it either. With reguards to savings, I got a battery for the corrado at £52 when it was on the shelf at £98

    My Rado..

Sweet, from what i remember from the add it's got some very impressive figures

    My Rado..

very nice, was this on pistonheads?
  21. would it be more benificial fitting both head and manifold at the same time? thinking about the fitment I would imagine things would be tight to change the manifold round the back.
  22. Right, I think it's time I [strike:2jw28wmd]wasted[/strike:2jw28wmd] invested more of my hard earned cash in my Corrado, the problem I have is where do I spend it? I have a couple of bits of bodywork showing there age now, however I want more power :norty: What should be the next performance mods I look at? Flowed head? 4-2-1 Manifold? Toothed belt kit? I'm not really sure, what would be most benificial? Or are there anyother I should consider? Cheers Slim
  23. Not sure what my ignition timing is set to. It's real pain in the ar$e that it is so intermittant, making trying to find the problem almost impossible :censored:
  24. i'll reattatch the earth and clean the other, however it has been running fine since this morning
