Yer- wax for rims is what I meant but was too lazy to type it out. So whats the best stuff to go for then? obviously not rim wax
-
I'm getting fed up with scrubbing the BBS clean all the while, one of the guys I work with has said I should use rim wax as it makes them mega easy to clean. Is this true? And how difficult is it to use, will it take me ages to do all the wheels? Cheers Slim

Quick Poll - How Long Have You Had Your Current Corrado?
Slimg60 replied to Yandards's topic in General Car Chat
I've owned her now for 4 years and it's been a turbulent time but she's still sat on my drive way, nearly sold her and even nearly scraped at one point but couldn't bring myself to do it. Glad I didn't now, I just love working on my car in freezing cold rain. -
Removed the interior to give the carpets and seats a proper clean, and removed the front bumper ready to take the intercooler off for a clean, but also stood back and thought to myself "god I love my car" 8)

Very nice, where abouts in Lincolnshire are you?

Seems to good to be true really, but if not.........BARGIN!!

I'm trying to find out the dimensions of the Golf G60 FMIC. If anyone know and could send me sizes it would be a great help, even a picture with dimensions on would be even better. I've found a place that fabricates intercoolers and need the sizes for him to price it up. He's also willing to do a group buy discount if there's enough interest. Cheers Slim

As far as I know the paints original, exept the rear bumper which was resprayed a few years ago. Yer I'll probably go for 10mm spacers, just to give it a bit of a wider look, I'd like wider wheels but saving for a house at the mo.
-
Stick with your Borbets, they're the best wheels for a rado IMO!!
-
I've got FK Konigsport fitted at the moment, not sure on how much I've dropped it by, just kept going til I was happy with it
-
Right thats decided then, watch out for a set of 5 spoke 17's for sale soon  I would like a wider set of wheels, but I'm saving for a house at the moment so cant justify another set  I also seem to have missed out my personal favourite picture of the old gal, DSC00418.JPG[/attachment:3dbqgj4o]

I'm really in 2 minds about the wheels to be honest, I like the clean look of the 17's, but love how low it is on the BBS. Think I might try the BBS on spacers to fill out the arches a bit.

Yer I work at the base. Cars looking awesome, I'll have to give Volkskraft a call and arrange to get a quote on mine done, and have a sneaky peak at your whilst I'm there. I know what you mean about the A607, the 50mph limit and the poor surface have ruined an awesome road.
-
I live just south of the city at Waddington. Definately have to meet up when it's back on the road.
-
cool, might have to take a trip over there for a quote on the respray and a few other jobs I need doing.
-
Not sure if I can make it to Stanford Hall yet, have to see what work has planned for me but I'll let you know when i do. Can you Send me Volkskraft's details please, be hand to have a local garage that I trust leaving my car with :D

Car's looking awesome, hopefully see it around Lincoln when it's finished. Where about's are you getting it sprayed? is it local? I'm trying to find somewhere as I plan on getting mine re-sprayed in the near future. Cheers Slim

Would it be better to mount S3 floor runner to the corrado or corrado subframes to the S3 seats? Any advice would be great as I've never attempted a project like this  Cheers Slim
-
Has anyone tried or know of anyone fitting S3 seats into a corrado? I know TT seats have been done, are they similar? It's just I might be able to get pair of front seats cheap. Cheers Slim
