  1. Haha yeah Ross said something similar when we broke down! Don't get me wrong absolutley love the car, I think i've just been lucky with my previous cars and had no major issues before. I am a bit of a girl when things like last night happen! haha
  2. Because I do! Ok i'm fairly new to the corrado ownership ( a few months) but i'm sure my car has a mind of it's own. At the moment it's favourite thing is to chuck out it's power steering fluid. Twice in 2 months, the latest being last night on the way down to Wiltshire - awesome drive down the fosse car felt really good, then all of a sudden steering goes stupidly heavy. Luckily managed to get into a petrol station, and the girl behind the counter boyfriend was a mobile mechanic (as neither me or the boyfriend carry an adjustable spanner, I will be from now on!!) So he came out and lent us some tools. All fixed now fingers crossed. Anyway I love the corrado - not sure it likes me though!! I suppose this is the welcome to corrado ownership a lot of us have!! I won't moan anymore the car might know and decide not to start tomorrow! :D
  3. Also my second sprinter in a week - really enjoyed the latest one! Good work everyone that was involved. My boyfriend is rather jealous that the SXOC don't do something similar! :D
  4. Well i've just noticed creaking coming from the pedals now which is a little disconcerting! Must get that looked at! Lots of squeaks and rattles from the interior - annoys the hell out of me, I just turn the stereo up louder, prodigy is a good one to drown out those squeaks and rattles!
  5. Think how I feel, Laura! After years of driving a Corrado and almost NEVER seeing one, since getting my daily, I've seen loads! In fact I think you live in the next close along from my girlfriends house as I've seen the 200SX's and the nose of a Corrado poking out onto the road in that close... I've not had the Corrado out for a few days so unless you spotted me in the barge, it probably wasn't me :( Yes I think we do live near - I was driving the 200SX at the time i thought I saw you. So there was another J reg Red Corrado in kenilworth on Wed.
  6. Think I spotted Jim Yesterday in Kenilworth. The one day i'm not in the corrado I spot one. Typical! Going down to Chippenham this weekend so hoping to see a few - although probably won't!
  7. Well not too worry as my two top drivers managed to crash into each other!! not a good start :salute:
  8. I've joined although not hoping for much success! :( Looking forward to watching the races without breaks :)
  9. I would try a Volvo 480 to take the title Boyfriends 480 has been off the road after 13 months - Started off 'just' replacing the clutch (engine out), this is after paying a garage to replace one clutch already and it breaking 3 clutch cables. Anyway was only going to take him a few weekends to sort out apparently, then everything else seems to need replacing! ah well it keeps him amused
  10. haha well I can but it needs to be justified! To be fair you've got the 12 month warranty it'll all be fine. :D not sure if you've had any experience of stratstone swansea yet? from the customers I've spoken to it's a very mixed reaction, some customers are over the moon with the service and some feel that it leaves a lot to be desired. I think that could be said about all Stratstone dealerships though. To be honest don't deal with swansea too much, i have the pleasure of dealing with the london lot! I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I hope you don't have to speak to us in the customer relations - As we have the pleasure of dealing with all the complaint calls! Anyway happy Jag ownership! :)
  11. Thats a nice looking thing, I work in Jag customer service, and it's so nice to hear someone who is happy with their jag! Which dealership did you get it from?
  12. :gag: :pukeright: :pukeleft: ....IMHO that RX7 is absolutely horrendous!! I am dumbfounded as to why it is getting so many votes.......just look at that ridiculous nasty sparkly star paint job on it!! :cuckoo:  :brickwall: What I meant to say was I like the RX7 as a car, not that particular one, my neighbour has one which is very nice and a bit less sparkly. :)
  13. Voted aswell you're in the lead with 20% of the votes, the closest one to you is the guy with the Mazda RX7 with 14%. (that RX is quite nice though!)
  14. I've done that aswell (although i think my can was spaghetti) on a b reg Mitsubishi Colt - I only paid 70 quid for the car didn't feel that it justified having a new exhaust!! Got through it's MOT (just)

    Supercharger

Cheers everyone it's all much clearer now. I mean it's up for £2,200 so if it had done more than 10k since replacement should i be offering under the £2k mark?

    Supercharger

Right so let me gets this straight (I'm not the most mechanically minded person so bear with me) If they can show a rebuild cert from a company we've heard of like G-werks, and everything else on the engine is ok. Then I should be ok?? If not then maybe walk away or budget another £400 into the price?

    Supercharger

Ok, So maybe going to look at a G60 at the weekend (if the bloke ever gets back to me) and the supercharger has been replaced is this usual, I mean the car has done 117K and the charger was replaced in 2004. Any info would be great. Don't want to end up buying a dud. Cheers

    Fuel Prices

Not sure if it's already been posted but http://www.petrolprices.com tell you where the cheapest petrol is in your area you to have to sign up but if you're willing to travel a few miles could know a couple of pence off!! Not a lot I know. :(
  19. Anyone else noticed that you can't search for corrado on the new beta version of the search?? Or am I just being blind/thick? Cheers
  20. Well we drove to Croatia last summer in the student gumball rally (now named Student breakaway or something) and some of the sights were amazing. There is a brand new motorway in Croatia and it's fairly empty. On the way we stopped in Koln, Prague, Budapest, Zagreb, Zadar and then on the way back we stayed over in Rijeka, Berchtesgaden and then Amsterdam. I think in total we went through 11 countries in 10 days, and in a saxo :) I'm hoping to explore eastern Europe a bit more next summer.
  21. On a insurance point of view, it's not going to cause a problem getting insurance. As long as you have an independent engineers report stating that the car is in a roadworthy state and the repairs are to a satisfactory standard. Well thats what we accept at the insurance company I work for, which is part of RBS insurance. Not too sure how I'd feel driving a Cat C or D write off though.
  22. The RAC has been really good with my boyfriends car, Volvo 480 turbo. The alternator went on the car when he was at mine. He called them out, obv the bloke couldn't fix it there and then. So he said if we arranged to get the part for the next day he would come back and fix it. Now that what I call service. They've also towed him places various times. Although I think it is getting to the point where if he calls again they might black list him lol. As he really is getting his money's worth :D
  23. My Parents had a 20v turbo one. And to be honest I thought it was really nice, very quick! Was the bright blue with Tan leather. always caught peoples eyes and sometimes unwanted attention (people cutting us up on purpose). We had ours for about 3 yrs and they sold it for more than they bought it for. Although my step dad did change the wheels and a couple of other things. I'm pretty sure there was a dump valve on there, although not totally sure. Ours never broke down. I think if you look after it then you'll be ok. If he's going to be ragging it round every day things are bound to break aren't they. My brother wanted to buy it of my mum but she refused to sell it to either of us, as she was scared we would kill ourselves. I would get one if I wasn't so hell bent on getting myself a G60. lol
  24. I'm also surprised at the amount of BMW and the like that don't have working indicators!! rahhh apparently you have to be a mind reader to work out what they are going to do next. I hate people that drive really close to the back of you, to try and intimidate you to move over. I have just as much right to overtake someone in my little car as they do in their 4x4, and I will move over when I get the chance. I've told my Step-dad off for doing that aswell, also said how amazed I was that he bought a car with faulty indicators. That went down well. I think what has been said about women drivers isn't necessarily fair, to be honest the most people I shout at in my car are men, who think that it's their god given right to drive always in the 'fast' lane. I also agree that their should be a motorway element included in driving tests, the first time i ever got on the motorway it was snowing, and probably at the point in my life the scariest thing to happen lol.
  25. he's in middlesbrough, if you like i could go pull his hair?? it may help lol what a complete idiot btw
