Definitely fixed now turned out to be ECU relay have now put nearly 200 trouble free miles on it so all good

Hi my 92 G60 has plastic sill covers with Corrado on them, couple of questions: 1. Are these OEM 2. Can they easily be removed 3. Can you still get them Cheers Simon

I can appreciate your situation completely, Im really surprised they've chosen to take it that far on the very skinny evidence they have. I would imagine a decent lawyer would tear them apart and a judge would laugh it out of court. I would counter their claims about the condition of your car by showing that you service it regularly, the mot was good with no advisories, mention you're an enthusiast and a member of car clubs/ forums and therefore probably look after your car better than the average car owner. Then use the simple maths to justify the overtake speed and suggest that the witness must have also been speeding also if there was on,y 4mph between you and perhaps they should also be on a charge ! Seriously though get yourself a lawyer and I'm sure all will work itself out

I have one too in good condition. Paid £60 for it was going to get it powder coated but ended up buying another already done looking for what I paid or it

Then get a Lysholm charger on a G60 C !! ;) I love my G60 C but love my Lysholm Charged Mk1 Golf ever so slightly more. It just comes down to personal preferences. Best advice would be to look through the buyers guides so you can suss out the pitfalls and then go and test drive as many as you can and don't rush into anything shiny without a good look !!

Hi Claire dont they have to prove his guilt ? Innocent until proven guilty ? Were there any advisories on the last mot or service ? I would have thought if nothing was mentioned at the last MOT or service then its reasonable to assume his innocence. I would of thought an independant engineer ought to inspect the car and then give a professional opinion on the cars road worthyness.

Me too ! Although my car was stationary at the time parked outside my house whilst i was at work a neighbour reversed into it with a tow bar destroying my reiger front bumper 4 weeks after getting car back from the bodyshop after a repaint and fitting the kit. My Policy is with also Highway via Brentacre who seem to be pretty good

Hi David initally the issue was no spark and refused to start, changing the ignition switch fixed that and it ran perfectly for 2/3 days then it started playing up again, I noticed that the fuel pump relay was clicking when it was playing up so I changed that now it doesnt click but the car still plays up. I havnt had the chance yet to see if theres a spark when the car fails. Is there a process for checking the hall sender ?

Ok bud ideal, im just being a bit picky, I actually have one on my car but the centre fixing underneath is broken lol

Im a bit fussy so would agree they need a polish so bearing that in mind hows 25 delivered ?

Doh ! spoke too soon, still not fixed, now it starts ok but after a couple of min drives all jerky then will cut out and wont start, if i leave it for a while it will start again. When it starts playing up the fuel pump relay was clicking which it isn't now I've stepped it out

All sorted now thanks for the replies turned out to be the ignition switch and the fuel pump relay

cheers Sean, I have already bought the fuel pump relay & TPS tell me the ECU relay number is 30, however I have another fuse panel at home and the ECU relay on there is 32 ?
