Standard Corrado Speedlines are 6.5 x 15 ET 43. If your proposed wheels are 7 x 17 ET 37 then the face of the new wheel will sit 12mm further out towards the arch as shown in the calculator below. An extra 12mm will not cause a problem, however, if you were to put a 15mm spacer behind the wheel then you can be sure that you will have fouling problems especially with the larger diameter wheel. Enter the details of the existing and proposed wheels in the relevant boxes and hit the 'calculate' button http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator#

They are genuine OK. They did sets for the early Corrados which had the switches on the door cards, which is what you have, as well as sets for the later cars with the switches on the actual pods. You got the bargain of a lifetime there.

As seen below, it has been soda blasted, etch primed and sprayed silver. £30 including postage.

The clips that are on your car have been replaced by the clips shown at the link below. The white plastic part slides into the underside of the sill trim and the grey plastic grommets push into the corresponding holes in the sills. Once everything is fitted, the white plastic part pushes into the grey grommet. I have used them and they are a much better job. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-SIDE-SKIRT-SILL-COVER-TRIM-CLIPS-GROMMETS-/191459948159?fits=Car+Make%3AVW%7CModel%3ACorrado&hash=item2c93e6f67f:g:McoAAOSw~uhUmwUb

If your wheels are 67.1mm center bore then the spigot rings below will reduce the center bore to 64.1mm which will fit perfectly with the adapters shown below. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Spigot-Rings-Set-Of-4-67-1-64-1-To-suit-Honda-Civic-Accord-Prelude-/281401814319?hash=item4184daed2f:m:mzcBWnlYM8xb8GoOjgoubVA http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCD-wheel-adapters-20mm-Volkswagen-4x100-to-fit-Honda-4x114-3-wheels-/182035628076?hash=item2a622b402c:g:SO4AAOSwsB9WBT1v

I've just had a quick look on e-bay and 4x100 to 4x114.3, 20mm adapters are available at £69.99 a pair. They are designed to fit Honda wheels to a VW and the center bore on a Honda wheel is 64.1mm Obviously you would need to know the center bore of the wheels you have bought. If it is 64.1mm you are laughing, if it is more than 64.1mm, you might be able to make the wheel fit the adapter with a spigot ring and if it's less than 64.1mm, you are snookered as it wont fit onto the adapter.

Have a read through the post at the link below which I think you will find helpful. I've still got the shortened spanner and the car has gone, so give me a shout if you get stuck. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91334-New-oil-pressure-switches-fitted-VR6&p=1076275#post1076275

Happy days, glad to help.

No need for spacers if you are happy with where the wheels are sitting and the standard bolts are fine. John has a problem with the wheels fouling the calipers, hence the need for a spacer.
-
Those wheels are almost identical spec. to the standard Speedlines. You could put 15 or 20mm spacers behind them with no problems, the wheels will then clear the calipers and fill the arches nicely. You have two choices in that you could use 'bolt through' or 'bolt on' spacers. As the name suggests, the 'bolt through' spacer sits on the hub and the wheel is secured by longer bolts which pass through the spacer and into the hub. The 'bolt on' spacer is different in that it is bolted to the hub with the supplied bolts and the wheel is then bolted to the spacer using the original wheel bolts. No matter which spacers you use, it is vitally important that they are hub centric as this will ensure that the wheel is securely centred on the hub ....... under no circumstances use non hub centric universal spacers. The standard wheel bolts on a Corrado are M14 x 1.5 and are around 26mm long. If you go down the 'bolt through' route then I would suggest 45mm long M14 x 1.5 bolts. If you do a search for VW, 5x100, 15 or 20mm, hub centric spacers on e-bay you will find lots of options. The same applies to the wheel bolts, do a search for 45mm M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts. Neither spacer option is particularly cheap but with the 'bolt on' option you will save on the price of longer bolts. A third option is to use a 57.1mm VW, 5 x 100, 6 mm spacer which may give you the clearance you need. If it did, then simply place it on the hub and bolt your wheels on using the standard bolts. You could experiment by packing the wheel out from the hub using washers to find out how thick a spacer you actually need. Needless to say, do not drive it in this state. Again, e-bay is you friend for 6mm, 57.1mm VW 5 x 100 spacers.

I don't want to rain on your parade but people have been known to remove the bulb from the ABS light when there is a fault with the ABS which keeps the light on ............ hopefully not but that's the first thing to check.

Here we have a pair of genuine Corrado mirror glass backing plates. These are ideal should you wish to replace your mirror glass with after market parts. Simply stick the new glass to the backing pates and pop them back in. Most after market mirror glass comes with a sticky backing to make the job even easier. These are nice in that they have a raised lip round the edge which will hide the edge of the new glass for an OEM look. £5 posted.

Here we have a set of two window rollers with no sign of excessive wear. £10 posted First Class
