Part number appears to be 171121276D according to VagCat and it appears to be common across the whole range of models. Possibly still available from your local dealer. If not, check the link below. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171121276D-Genuine-RADIATOR-RUBBER-WASHER-VOLKSWAGEN-SEAT-SKODA-NEW-Orginal-OEM-/151703052290?hash=item235234e002

There is a very good guide on Wiki. The difference in an OK job and a show finish is in the lacquer. Halfords rattle cans will be OK ........... a couple of coats of 2k lacquer applied in a bodyshop, flatted back and machine polished will be show quality. http://wiki.the-corrado.net/tinting_rear_lights.html

SOLD to science.

All red rear lights Here we have a set of Corrado all red rear lights. These are genuine Hella rear lights which have been totally smoothed, tinted all red, lacquered, flatted back and then machine polished. There is slight damage to the rear of one of the corner units where the bulb holder clips in but this in no way affects the fitment of the bulb holder or the function of the light (just being totally honest) Included with the lights will be two LED bulbs for the indicators and also two resistors to ensure that the indicators blink at the correct speed. I will PM the buyer photographic fitting instruction for the resistors which is literally a two minute job List Date: 7/9/2015 For more info, click here to view the original listing: All red rear lights -------------------------------------- On Sale For: ?60.00 -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: All red rear lights Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!

Eibach springs wont fit corrado vr6 storm 95/96..Top mount issue?
leon263 replied to ShivasRegal's topic in Drivetrain
Check out the link below, they are listed for a Mk3 Golf VR6 but the part number is correct. They are the only ones I can find and the price is pretty stiff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK3-GTI-VR6-SPRING-PLATE-CAP-FOR-FRONT-SUSPENSION-STRUTS-GENUINE-VW-/161367779677?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item259244e95d -
Eibach springs wont fit corrado vr6 storm 95/96..Top mount issue?
leon263 replied to ShivasRegal's topic in Drivetrain
VagCat shows two different top spring plates. The part number for the larger one, which is approx 110mm in diameter, is 1H041234. The part number for the smaller one, which is approx. 90mm in diameter, is 357412341A. There is only one part number shown for the actual top mount which sits above the spring plate , so it would appear to be interchangable. Again, there is only one part number shown for the actual shock absorber. Check out the photo below for the different size spring plates. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=1H0412341&safe=off&biw=1366&bih=674&noj=1&site=webhp&tbm=isch&imgil=DnuKbrn5BXQ5mM%253A%253B0AUQLaLVALtjRM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fs816.photobucket.com%25252Fuser%25252Fburstlikeabubble%25252Fmedia%25252FCars%25252FP524RMR%2525252520VW%2525252520Golf%25252F20131122_114931_zpsc98534cc.jpg.html&source=iu&pf=m&fir=DnuKbrn5BXQ5mM%253A%252C0AUQLaLVALtjRM%252C_&usg=__JP0QF20WcyraEOHe7F3DwgCr4-E%3D&ved=0CC4Qyjc&ei=TK2bVc-2BIWO7AbuxZb4Ag#imgrc=DnuKbrn5BXQ5mM%3A&usg=__JP0QF20WcyraEOHe7F3DwgCr4-E%3D -
The photos below show a 195.45 on a 7 inch front wheel and a 205.45 on an 8 inch rear wheel. Not really sure I'd want to go any narrower.

As above, a US company so lots of postage and import duty unless you are going to the States on holiday. TrimSport have bits in the pipeline, but nowhere near the same range. http://www.spoonfedtuning.com/collections/corrado

The 'remote on' wire on the back of the head unit is normally blue and white.

The definitive "What Air Filter?" discussion thread
leon263 replied to CazzaVR's topic in Engine Bay
Go for the larger one and get a CDA mounting bracket from daves16v on this forum. It bolts onto the side of the engine using two of the existing tensioner bolts and makes fitting a doddle. -
That's about it, remove the circlip which should be there, jiggle it about to loosen it and it should pull straight out.

I've had a few random oil warning light and beeper episodes recently. Normal oil and water temperatures and lack of odd noises led me to suspect that perhaps the two switches on top of the oil filter housing were on their way out. A quick look down the back of the radiator revealed that oil was acually seeping out of the top of the high pressure switch so I decided to replace both the high and low pressure switches. Both can be found on the top of the oil filter housing. The high pressure swith, on the left as you look at it, has a black top, a single spade connector and a yellow wire attached to it. The low pressure switch,on the right, has a blue top, a single spade connector and a blue wire. Access is severely limited, but on Fla's advice I removed the driver side headlamp (three screws and one connector) and that lets you get your arm in and straight at the switches. You will need a 24mm spanner and a short one is ideal. Not a tool many people will have, but luckily I found an old 15/16ths imperial ring spanner in my collection and shortened it to around 150mm. It was then only a question of removing the wires, screwing the old switches out and the new ones in. Replace the wires and the headlight and it's job done. It took less than 30 mins and the two new genuine switches cost around £30 from TPS although they can be had much cheaper on e-bay............... no warning lights during a 10 mile test drive so hopefully that's that.

I'd suggest that you do go for 195.45s on your 16s The photo below shows a 195.45 on a 16x7 on the front of my VR and it's spot on. The rear wheels are 8s and I run 205.45s on them.
-
Good shout on the headlight for access to the connectors, a deep socket and a selection of extension bars and universal joints should do the job.
-
It's on a VR6 ........ both switches on top of the filter housing.
-
Any-one been able to replace the two oil pressure switches on top of the filter housing without removing the front end and radiator? Suggestions welcome, it seems a bit tight at first glance.
-
You might want to reconsider your price, these are available brand new on e-bay for £4.50 with free delivery.

There is a set for sale over on the VR6oc forum for £100 .......... link below http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/46593-red-oe-ht-leads/

I'm pretty sure the red leads are no longer available from VW. ARZ Tuning have a red set as shown in the link below. http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p761_OEM-Ignition-Wire-Set--Red----VW-VR6.html

The door pin on the bodywork is adjustable. Simply put a spanner on it, unscrew it a couple of turns and it will slide up, down, in and out. Slide it out slightly, nip it up and try closing the door and you should have a 'softer close'. Keep trying until you get it the way you want it. I'd suggest fitting new pins as there should be a nylon sleeve on the pin. Simply screw the pin completely out and screw the new one in. They are widely available on e-bay for very little money. Check out the example below. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK2-CORRADO-SCIROCCO-POLO-DOOR-LOCK-STRICKER-PIN-x-2-C01-/200959815258?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item2eca236e5a

Door speakers and one rear speaker not working
leon263 replied to Thursdave's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
You have found the screw on the back edge of the door card, there is also one on the front edge. Remove them and the plastic locking pin on the top edge of the door card. Remove the surround from the internal handle, it slides towards the rear and you may need to apply pressure using a screw driver as a lever using the door pull as a fulcrum. Remove the cover from the internal handle (you'll find a slot at the bottom edge for a flat blade screw driver .... insert and twist) Remove the two big screws that hold the handle on and remove it. You will find another screw behind it ...... remove it too. Remove the speaker grill, get down on you knees and search for the screw which is towards the front of the doorcard but hidden from view. It's between the front edge of the actual speaker and the front edge of the doorcard but if the door card has been off before it may well be missing. Remove the small lastic triangle from the front corner of the window, it just pulls off. After all that is simple, just lift the complete doorcard up and away from the door. The photos below may help.
