    my wheels

Lights do look good. Id keep the 288's on, I asked a while ago about going to 312's and it wasnt really worth it from what I remember. You will then still be able to run the standard wheels if you want.
  2. Have this not been asked before for these? There something like old Team Dynamics I think.
  3. Did you get the Mk4 chain guides as they are better than standard VR one. Your asking about a s/c'd turbo VR? No point, if your going forged engine etc just get a turbo, there quick enough.
  4. Was thinking about this. Im not one for just standing about though and shows are just not my cup of tea. Maybe meet somewhere and go for a jaunt. Possibly meet in Perth then go down to Knockhill when something is on. Decent road if you come in from the Gleneagles direction. Theres a hot hatch day on 10th October.
  5. Ok, let me know when as I'll try to tie in getting the TC fitted at the same time.
  6. My one sounded far better than when it was 12v. Folk say there a more raspy sound which I dont quite get, stick a 2.5in system on and they sound amazing. Its funny watching the plastic inlet bulge as well. Ben if i was you Id wait and get the plugs checked before thinking about doing anything, that head was originally on my car when I bought it which had apparently been rebuilt but then place Bill used said it wasnt that great a rebuild so it was redone.
  7. Keeping the car, for now at least. There is a trackday at Knockhill on the 18th though...tempting fate maybe!!

Went for a blast tonight and Im not selling for the moment. Its running spot on now and Im just thinking that I can go out and get an Elise at anytime really but I cant buy something like this everyday so I may as well enjoy it. I prefer the S2 Elise's anyway so I can wait a year or so for the price on them to come down a bit first.
  9. Im not defo selling yet, will probably still come down as if I do sell the car I can see it being a lot easier with this fitted.

Im not bored of this car, I just get the feeling that Im bored with VW's in general. As I said Ive driven them ever since passing my test and I think its the grass is greener phase at the moment.
  11. I had a similar problem year ago on a Mk2 with some alloys. The wheels bolts came loose as a result though. TBH I prefer it with the Speedlines on.

I keep changing my mind. I know I will never find another Corrado in this condition / spec and that I could potentially buy an Elise at anytime. Ive yet to have someone say its a bad idea buying one though (apart from on hear) and Im often one to regret doing something than thinking about doing it.

Thought you say that. It really is a special car but Im kind of getting bored of the whole VW thing if Im honest. Its all Ive owned since passing my test. I know I'll take the car out for a run and change my mind again though. Must be an early mid life crisis.

Ok, having serious thoughts about selling. Only reason is I have this niggling itch to buy an Elise and the S1's are within range now. Would be a shame as the cars running spot on now. Am I mad?
  15. Believe me around 400bhp is enough in one of these things for the roads. I'll give you a run in mine next week sometime of you want when picking up the fog light. I know there are faster things out there but as a package I reckon is hard to beat for smiles which at the end of the day is what you want. There will always be someone with a faster/better car than you.
  16. Was up your way today and thought Id seen the road I was on before. Turns out it was the one in the first vid you posted a few pages back. Sat having my lunch watching the Tornado's taking off, god I forgotten how loud those things are at take off. Nice today but must be fookin cold in the winter. Any progress yet on the bearings?
  17. Got a call yesterday to confirm specs, looks like it should be a couple of weeks for the wheels to arrive. Might get them on before the RR day but Im still thinking of putting them on the Mk4 as I just cant see them beating the TH2's.
  18. Oh aye, when did this happen?
  19. Ive got one of those scuttle panels but it wouldnt fit, looks like I must have an early one then. Cars looking good.
  20. From my experince and through ass dyno they make no difference. Ive just put a CAT on my car and its made no difference so cant see taking one of a standard VR will do anything other than make it louder.
  21. Induction kit makes no real difference either. They just make a bit more noise, nice noise though.
  22. No but I was intending on buying it this month. Sounds good as he doesnt normally mind calling a spade a spade.
  23. Sorry but thats horrid. If its a quick motor you want for cheap money then I agree you cant beat the Jap stuff. Never been a fan myself, do quite like Evo's but again as you will have seen theres so many about these parts. Im not blinkered to say that the Corrado VRT is better than any of them but for me one of the best things is that people just dont expect it to be as quick as they are plus you can easily go week or two without seeing another. Try doing that in Aberdeen in anything else nice, its near on impossible unless you have a Zonda / Enzo. I think my next car will be a fast as standard car that needs little "tuning" to it. Something like Pete Griff's or a TVR or along those lines.
