My old one would be about 300miles to a tank with mixture of driving. I did get all the way back from Stealth on onw tank which is roughly 400miles @80mph. Current one is 240-250 miles to a tank. -

The colour really suits your car. -
Is there an ISV on these cars? Maybe clean that out or try search on here for it as Im sure when you disconnect it the revs should drop.

I love the wheels but I prefer the TH2 so much more. Im would only be selling to help fund another car. -

Might be selling my set if anyone is interested, only to help pay for another potential project though :cuckoo: . -
Great thread, I appreciate the over engineering as mentioned above. You certianly need it for as stress free running as possible on these things.

Im considering doing something similar, I would try and paint the outer black and inners a very light grey to try and replicate the lights. -
Mmm, roofs ok as you dont really notice. Not sure on the mirrors either. I wouldnt go black wheels if it were me, i think the latest line of Vauxhalls have cheapened them.
-
If your staying VW then I would agree with this. Im back looking at them again for a daily. The Mk5 is such and improvement over the Mk4 IMO. What about a Leon Cupra, they have the ED30 engine in them? Simple remap and near on 300bhp.

Just left the gap. There will be some stuff gets through but its better than no liner IMO.
-
Ive got the liner in my car, the fixings into the inner wing wall are strong enough.

After having them on for a while from certain angles these MO's look bloody amazing. -
Interested to know what it was like NA with the short runner. Was it low comp as well? I considered doing that when my turbo went and probably will if it goes again. Also interested to know about CV and driveshaft longevity.

I constantly get bored with my cars, the longest Ive owned one is a year and a half and that was my old green VR. My current one does have that grin factor when I take it out but Im always thinking of "what next" if Im honest.

Whats the prize? I did mine about 2hrs after fitting mine. Some bint moved across on me going round a roundabout. -
Watch the video then comment. We all speed, but there is a time and a place.
-
No reason to increase the rear size if your leaving the the front as standard. Im assuming its standard power so no reason to upgrade either. Just fit decent standard pads and discs and keep an eye on them this time. Oh and its brake pads not break pads.
-
TBH I think there going to look daft. It will tramline like a bitch!!

Rainx is bloody great. Whats not to like?
-
I run the standard wipers on my car with plenty of rainx and never have an issue now. Always used to think these were essential but I not so sure anymore.

Heres the TC. PLenty of wires that normally make me come out in a cold sweat but might get some soldering practice and fit it over the winter. Cars running fine now. Getting about 280 - 300miles to a tank which I think is fine.
