  1. No one. My worry now is Indyref2 for Scotland, I just think its going to destabilise the whole economy.
  2. Yep, that's going nowhere. Needing some TLC but that can wait.
  3. The exhaust has blued up nicely as well and it probably removed about 20kg from the rear as std one was really heavy. Its the beardy brigade that I find quite funny about the Porsche. "It must be stock or nothing as nobody can improve on what Porsche did"....okay..
  4. Ive gone through many different iterations of the Corrado and the approach above is best IMO. The turbo nutter cars are ace fun but now for me it would be a slightly tweaked VR that would suit me. Slight drop with some wheels, cams, diff and lower FD and that's it.
  5. Little update on this thing. Still loving it but I have felt the need to tweak. Noise is a big thing for me and the std exhaust was just a little to quiet plus the boxes were starting to do the common corrode from inside out. Therefore I went all out and got a Kline system including 200cel cats. its a work of art!! They come in Inconel as well but didn't even ask how much that was!!! Fitted and sounds awesome, the design has changed the tone to slightly more GT3 sound. Changed the front pads then took it for a West Coast blast on an annual Audi run I go on. I also recently found out that C4s and turbo wheels are different in that they turbo's are hollow spoke. Turns out the C4s wheels are really heavy. Me being me the wheels would get changed at some point so Ive got a set of OZ Alleggerita's on the way. Still doesn't feel like mine and I still feel very lucky to have it. Keep looking at Corrado's as well, lol.
  6. The Ur rally car is a bit of a fake really so that's a mental price. I know someone who has a proper pukka one of them (that gets used properly), Id hate to imagine how much that would be worth now. Saying that he does have 3 road going versions as well as two Rs2...normal bloke as well just bought them all at right time. On the Porsche thing there all going up at the moment but yes the front engined cars are probably the best ROI at the moment I think. I was temtped on a 968 before buying the 996 but the 4cyl thing put me off. 968 handling is supposed to be brilliant.
  7. Theyve risen since I sold mine middle of last year. I think your right though in that people are not getting what there asking hence why there sitting around for a while.
  8. I would say an Integrale has done most of its appreciating so if your looking for a big gain look elsewhere IMO. You don't want something that your never going to use as its devaluing it with mileage etc going up. Tough call at the moment, for about that value 996 turbo's seem to be a good call if your looking for something fast. If not then the 993 s seems a good deal. Ive not got through them all yet but some very nice cars. Is it for an investment or to use and enjoy?
  9. Whats your budget and how practical does it have to be? New style Octavia VRS is an amazing car, as is the Leon FR as mentioned.
  10. Ive had Golfs as well and they are good but always felt the Scirocco was nicer inside. As said some H&R springs makes them look so much wider and purposeful. I wouldn't buy a 3dr Golf over a Scirocco if there available with the same engine.
  11. Good cars, Ive had two albeit the 2.0 TSI. Handle really well. What other spec does it have? I had one with a pano roof and TBH I never used it. Rear bumper gets stone chipped behind the rear wheel, other than that usual wear and tear. There nothing inherently wrong that goes wrong with them model wise, mechanicals are all common so it would be engine specific related issues. A wee drop on some H&R's makes a huge difference, they look so much better. Remember its a 2+2 as well, no 3rd seat belt in the back. Id own another for sure. Boot is big, its just got a high entry. Only other little things are boot is key only to open and windows can stick when its really cold so you cant get in the car but theres way around that (they need to drop before opening as there frameless.)
  12. Integrale!!! Maybe 5-6 years ago but not now, they've done most of their appreciating. Nice to see the 996 in their and hopefully true. Missed out on the B5 S4/RS4 there heading up now as well.

    £15k VR6

Its the low mileage therefore must be worth more attitude that annoys me the most. UK seems to have some obsession for this. Cars do not like sitting about, they need to be used to stay in good condition. The majority of the Porsche crowd are very bad for this, mileage seems to make such a difference, its bloody annoying IMO. If your cars past 100k then its worthless....lol.
  14. Im sold on the overall performance thing, they will be come more and more popluar. In Norway they are really popluar but probably due to very low tax levels. Zero emissions is great as well however Im still not sure over these as to the overall environmental impact with regards to the batteries. What happens to them once there "spent"?

    £15k VR6

£1475.0 maybe. With that lack of use I bet all engine seals and gaskets are goosed. Minor dent my ass. Complete joker and the usual if its low mileage then it must be worth a lot thing.
  16. Yeah possibly and it's the sort of car I'd be looking for.
  17. That's probably why there like that then, probably before you got it. New discs or get those skimmed but new ones are cheap enough. My RS rear discs are £500 a pair!!!!
  18. Does the car sit around outside for a while or get used regularly? My RS4 discs have gone the same way and its purely from sitting about over the winter.
  19. Thinking of coming back to the fold soonish so wondering if anyone if considering selling in the next couple of months. Ideally a VR6 with good bodywork, doesn't have to be mint but no bad corrosion. Open to most colours but having not owned a Storm I'd like one of them in Mystic. Let me know what you've got please. Probably around £5k max to spend.
  20. et38 down to et18 with adaptors would be too much IMO. ET30 is about the limit with 8j wheels and 205 tyres and zero rubbing with standard arches.
  21. Looked fine when I dropped the stuff of this week. Found a 90mm splitter when I got home but Im keeping that, just in case.
  22. No way....cant sell that!
