If you use an adaptor the offset will lower or in plain terms stick out more. Theres not much you can do to move the mounting face so the only thing I would look at is redrilling if you can or if its possible infill weld and redrill if you have centre caps to cover this up. Personally I wouldnt do this though. Are they 3 piece or 2 piece?
-
Maybe. Look really good though. Whats the spec on them diameter, width, offset?
-
Lets see some pics of the wheels then
-
Got your wheels yet?
-
we try to help him,but he has terminal wheelwhoreitis on the plus side,if you fancy a set of alloys every now and then just check his latest posts and see what tickles your fancy, these wheels he has I think have been on since the end of june IIRC More like a week

Ok, car MOT'd. Wheels on to see what the look like and 90mm spoiler fitted. I also noticed the rust on the bottom of the drivers door was bubbling quite bad so I took it back to bare metal, treated it and resprayed the area. Not pretty but only really notice is close plus I wont have to worry about it for a while. Wheels are up for sale as Ive got my eye on some Ive always wanted.

TBH Im not surprised mate. I wince about mine and its only 40mm down. -
Not my car. they are 7in wide IIRC and ET32. Tyres look to be 215/40's.
-
Ok, not mine but these are what they look like (aplogies if these are some folks cars) As far as Im aware they clear 312mm brakes as well.
-
Heres a crap photo of what they look like with the correct tyre fitted. Will clear 312mm brakes as well.
-
I might have a set of Borbet C's for sale that are very similar and as far as I believe the 312's fit behind them. Waiting on a reply from Compomotive about some new wheels first. All with decent tyres but wheels will need a refurb. 7.5x16 ET30 so they fit perfectly.
-
Its crap but amazes me when people complian about this. It is petty by the cops and seems a waste of time but if you get caught just take it on the chin. Im for plain and simple everytime, whats the big deal with pressed plates anyway?
-
Ok, never noticed it before but only just fitted the CAT to the car and its a lot quiter now or maybe a good excuse to buy that 6spd box 8)

Ok I managed to get the car back on the road after sitting for about a month. In that time I left it in gear with handbrake off. I took it for a good run at the weekend and noticed a rattling type noise when I lifted of the throttle in 5th. It also does it slightly in 3rd as well. This noise does not dissapear with the clutch in so Im guessing its not the clutch release bearing. I started the car up after leaving it for a while and whilst in neutral the gearbox was slightly noiser than ususal. The noise did dissapate though. Theres no vibration through the pedals and no issue with getting the gears selected. Any suggestions on what this could be? Does it sound like as internal bearing?

Not strictly true. The brace bar on the 280mm calipers does come into play with a fair few sets of wheels. If you stick to OE VW your ok but aftermarket ones sometimes have issues.

Now with black BMC filter and a lot dirtier.

Family car  5dr hatch with a decent boot. Leon Cupra R is a very good car with a massive boot.

E46 330d Touring - Your Thoughts/Now Brought

You mean you bought it, then brought it home.... -
Problem is you see all the new Corsa's, Fiesta ST yellow things, Clio Cup with them now. Saying that the new Lambo SV has them as well..
-
Yeah not keen on the black centre thing. Its all black or nothing. These are the ones Ive done in the past and they were ok as mentioned above it keeps a two colour theme going i.e. black and green. I'll probably do it as its the easiest option.
-
Ive redone a few sets of wheels in all black as its easy to do and they dont need too much looking after. If you get a scrape, whip the wheel off and respray. Ive got another set of wheels that Im thinking of doing this too but more and more I see cars with all black wheels and dare I say it a lot are of the chavtastic kind. Have they become the subaru equivalent of gold wheels? As an idea this is what I was planning (but in green obviosuly) and my favourite wheel of all time on the Rallye.

16in 5 spokes were TT wheels that came on the lesser models. Made by Speedline. There 7in wide and ET32 so they fill the arches ok however the tyres were too small and were useless in the wet so I just sold them. Looks like the front has already been done by Blenjk. Will try the wheels as they are first to see if I get on with the colour.

Rado vs Rice : a little test, which do you prefer?

They were cool when they came out but to me havent aged well. There too big and to much of a Fast&Furious image these days, as this one suggests.
