  1. No but this is well known for being spot on. Just had a loo through Stan's old thread and my car is basically 15bhp and 20fllbs down on his car all the way up. Power at the wheels was 172bhp.
  2. Ok just had a look and the torque figues are actually less than standard 4motion engine. Something not right. :(
  3. Ok had the car on a RR today and it was a bit dissapointing. The car is supposed to have a CustomCode stage 2 remap for decat etc but Ive refitted a the cat. Ive seen a few 4mo's that have been remapped putting out 230+bhp but my car only managed 212bhp @ 6700rpm and 189 lbft @3700rpm. Would like to compare it to a VR6 to see torque and power graphs. The A/F is ok, just a tad over 13:1 and theres no obvious sign of problems. Other cars there were as expected. Every VW I had on the RR has always been on or slightly above quoted figures so Im wondering if the ECU is running the correct map. The car still feels quicker than the old VR but if theres more there Id like to get them back. Not to mention paying for a remap and it seemingly having done not a lot.
  4. Could someone please pot up there RR graphs for a VR, doesnt have to be standard but list what mods you have done. No FI though as Im trying to get a comparison with mine.
  5. No luck. Not clued up on the G60 like others but dont worry too much as they are not as fragile as everybody thinks. Oh and just goes to show proper planning and all that. First thing I did was make sure I had full cover before going to pick mune up from Norwich. Do you know the history of the car as Im sure that used to be up around Elgin a few years ago either that or one very similar with SEB plate.
  6. Looking good. That coilovers picture always scares me and why I'll stick with standard style set up. just imagine the amount of cars out there with them like that and most with cheap nasty versions.
  7. When I had my 4motion I had 16in, 17in and 18in. If its for the missus then 17in. If you can get some Skoda Octavia VRS wheels as they do look pretty good and not many people have them. 18in unless seriously light ruin the ride and handling on a Mk4.
  8. Loving this car. Could you take some photo of the front fog intakes preferrably the back part. thanks.
  9. Mmm not sure on that at the moment to be honest. Wouldnt have guessed its Porsche unless Id seen the dials. Once finished Im sure it will be good.
  10.  , was there a Corrado in the last post....
  11. Fair enough. Going to have some sort of brakes bias adjuster I take it? Just seems an awful lot more unsprung weight for no real reason.
  12. Impressive but do you really need the rears that big?
  13. Does this work with overspray? Washed the car and gave it a quick wax and its has a shed load of overspray on it.
  14. Only one Ive got from many moons ago. Only Corrado Ive had on the track. Dont really fancy the track anymore after racing the bike and doing umpteen bike trackdays. Just dont think I would get any excitement.
  15. You know what I think I still have the one I removed of my S3. Only issue for me is the power steering res sits right behind the battery on wing side.
  16. Im going to try that first, just thought someone may have thought about doing it before and wondering if it feasible. Ive seen the relocation kits before.
  17. dragging this up as Im considering this again.
  18. Thats what Id do if I were you. From memory he was asking about the same as the conversion itself cost. Cant believe it didnt sell, bit scary as well considering the amount Ive spent on mine as well :(
  19. You cant fit a cone filter to this engine and you dont want to either. All it really does is make some more noise. If thats what your after take out the bottom of the airbox and drill holes in it. Try to do it on the wing side.
  20. 5 pages and only two photos of the car, Anymore pics with the S3 wheels fitted?
  21. To be honest VW are generally quite conservative with there figures. Any car Ive had done has always been more than factory quote. Just pub talk anyway.
  22. Is the car using oil at the moment or giving any indication of bore wear? If not then to me there is no need to change the engine out. When you change the engine you will start wanting to change other bits as you go and the costs will soon add up.
  23. Good thinking. I like the plain slash cut style as well. I think the original tailpipe is the best.
  24. I should be heading down with the Eastside guys.
