  1. Corrado is 1200kg is is not? What vile POS he has. Tacky as fook. :camp:
  2. Works quite well. What did you use on the front lights/indi's to get them tinted?
  3. Ok, seems like the fix has been found and the car should hopefully be good to go in the next week or so. The silly low offer on the wheels was accepted for a reason i.e. one tyre was completely fecked even though it apprently has 3mm left. Managed to get some money back and sourced two good tyres so will get them on. Oh aye there Borbet C's by the way. Got a 90mm front spoiler on the way as well. New wheels are sort of dark gold bronze colour but there kerbed so I was thinking of doing them all satin black and going for the look below with the lights, although not quite so dark. Might even shorten the front plate.

    which rims

Whats wrong with the originals? Bottom ones if you change. Other two look cheap and nasty.
  5. Im pretty sure thats the colour I used as well once. Would look good against the white, just didnt like them with the green.
  6. Note its a Mk5 sump etc you need, I bought a Mk4 one and its exactly the same as the 4motion.
  7. Which I seem to be meeting a lot right now so I wont risk it. Going to try and sort it up here first I think.
  8. Does anyone have the wiring diagrams for a 2000 model 4 motions?
  9. Ok could someone point out where the EVAP and secondary air pump should sit on the 2.8 engine then? Im going to try and see if I can possibly get round this myself first. Did the secondary air pump fit below the alternator as when I changed my alt there was an open plug sitting there?
  10. Good work, sump must be close to the hitting the road though.
  11. Aye Daves been helping me so far with this. Thing is I am next to useless when it come to this but I suppose there is only one way to learn....
  12. To be honest that was my initial thought but just its worth asking.
  13. Ok it seems the emmisions issues with my car is solved however I have to get it down to PSI to get the work done. They are about 360miles from where I live and its currnetly has no tax or MOT. Emissons were the only issue for MOT so the car is safe. I know you can drive the car without an MOT to a station as long as its booked for the MOT work and test but is there a limit on distance? If stopped could I argue that since this is specialist work I can only go to them? How does the tax work?
  14. Just spoke to PSI and its the EVAP and air pump that needs the resistor in not the lambdas. Also it only seems to be on specific ECU's as the other cars they have done have been fine, its just mine and Tedmans as they are identical ECU's.
  15. Depends on what he does with the rear lambda's and whether the other people have been ruinning them as well.
  16. Just to clear this up it turns out that to get round this (as I had been lead to believe) you have to wire in resistors to fool the lambda circuits into thinking the lambdas are still there. Apparently this seems the only way to get round the rear lambda deletes and is common with the Cusotm Code remaps. Not sure if this is specific to the Motronic Vr7 OE ECU that I have.
  17. Its your car, do with it as you please. Breaking it only makes our ones rarer on the road. As for the OEM part debate is it not that as soon as a company supplies a component to a car company then they can officially become an OEM supplier. They can then use this on any other product they sell for the car. I.e. Bosch make say the window wiper but they could also sell brake pads and say there OE even if the car never came with them?
  18. Another no from me. Personally I wouldnt run Porsche either as Im not a huge fan of the adaptors. Start looking for some BMW E30 wheels like Hartge. There usually 7in + wide and nice offset so they fill the arches right.
  19. I had a similar thing happen on an 8v Mk2 and it was a clogged strainer so it worth checking.
  20. Giving this a go in the next couple of weeks. Supposed to be pretty good. http://www.bilthamber.com/deoxgel.html
  21. Pretty sure you would have to tell the insurance about this, wouldnt you?
