If your running the Corrado original clocks it wont have oil temp. The 4motion and I believe the R32 doesnt have an oil temp fuction on the MFA. From what I was told it is monitored but there is no display hence why I asked. -
Ahh, same as I had. Im afriad to say mine was rings and oval bores. Take the plugs out and see what there all like. If there heavily oiled on No1 & 6 cyl then you might have the same then get a hot and cold compression test done. This will tell you if it the bores. The reason I know it wasnt my head was a I had a newly rebuilt head. Doesnt sound too bad though and it doesnt take a lot of oil to make smoke. Monitor how much your loosing and do a search under my username in this section to see my post with plug photos.

Heres a 12v port for reference. Can you take a photo of the sump please. Are you going to run an oil temp gauge? -

Looking good, wheels really suit the colour. -
Cool, let me check it fits first. How much would you want for it?
-
Got any finished photos? Im going to redo the ones I have soon and was thinkinh of the same. Where did you get the pinstripe masking tape from?
-
Mmmm, my washer bottle is already there. Maybe of I move the battery forward and the small reservior to the side of the battery I could get it in keeping the coolant reservior in the original place. Does anybody have an OE airbox to get rough dimensions?
-
Aye, hard pushed to beat the 5cyl Audi noise.
-
Wow, what were VW doing with the standard ride height on these things. First thing Id do it lower it to reduce that arch gap. For the brakes you need discs, pads, calipers, carrier and hoses.
-
Early bumpers had a "swage" line around it where as the later ones were smooth. The bit you speak about is the lower front spoiler which was 90mm deep on early cars but they changed to 50mm to prevent damage. They fit either car so donr worry. Its all just cosmetic changes and they should physically fit either late or early cars. As for the colour match then as long as they are the same paint code is should be ok but i suspect they wont be exactly the same. You may have to do some T-cutting to get them near.
-
Older wing will not have as pronounced of an arch. Its not significant but it is noticable. Bascially the old wing arch piece doens not stick out as far as the new style wing. If you not running wide wheels then fit both the early wings to make it the same on both sides.

Whats everyone doing for thier induction / airbox set up? Im currently running an open cone filter but I would like to get some kind of cold air ducting or possibly run the OE airbox which will require battery relocation I suspect.
-
Looking good Mike, glad the interior went into a car like this as well.
-
Ive heard thats quite good for the money. Are you running 205's?
-
Dont do it, doesnt really suit the car and you'll need a hell of a lot of cans to do the whole car. Just think how hard it would be to get rid of it if you didnt like it. To me its that whole RAT look, i.e. deliberately making the car look bad. Its a bit of a contradiction is it not?
-
What suspension kit was that and how much of a gap is thier at the front between the arch and tyre? Cars looking good by the way.
-
Bizarrely I watched the whole of that film (in french with Russin subtitles) about 5yrs ago on an 8hr flight back from Sakhalin Island (look above Japan on a map). It was still quite good even though I couldnt understand a bloody thing.

16's I take it? They alsmost look like 17in.

Good man. Your doing all the right things here, nice and subtle. Wish I had the time, pateince and space to have done mine. Believe me its well worth the effort you will be putting in. -
Anybody done this recently? Ive sold my inlet manifold to a guy in the states and the cheapest Ive seen so far to send is £60. Anybody know of good companies to use????

http://www.rsvr.net forum is one of the best places. I had an old Mille R and hated the thing. Bikes certainly give you one hell of a buzz that you just cannot come close to in the car. I wish I had a quid for every time someone says "Id be dead within a week if i had a bike". When perched on top of one you soon realise how mortal you really are and it sorts the men from the boys. Oh and seeing as others have posted there pics here are some of mine.

Ive got one of the pipes on my old manifold. Just checked it and its similar to yours but doesnt have a hole in it. If your struggling for one let me know. Can you not just use good old duct tape as a temp repair?
