Evening, Ive managed to strip back my electric seat loom and its going into the back of the fusebox. How do I get the fusebox out of it position so I can remove the loom completely? Ive removed the retaining screw but its still fixed solid and cannot see any toher screws. So near yet so far....

So what do I need to take out for the adjustment loom only then?

I'll be honest if I had that amount of time and money invested in the car it would be going with me to OZ. Some very nice touches and I dont normally like the two tone but that works well. Anymore pics of the TT' wheels? -

Dont get hung up about gettng a Storm. There a nice supercharged VR in the Classified right now. -
All I need to do is get it of a trailer into the garage. Its not going near the car.

If the head is split from the block how heavy is the block with crank, pistons, sump etc still in place? Note no gearbox etc as it will have been removed from the car. Can it be lifted by a couple of average non body builders or will I need an engine crane?

If the bolts sheared then they should have still been in the hub. More likely to be loose. If you dont fit wheels that sit on the hub right or use the correct spigot rings this can happen. Happen to me before but I managed to stop before the wheel came off.

Second that. You own a gorgeous car mate :thumbleft: and you have some amazing scenery! 8) So you guys have never been to the west coast of Scotland then. Nice car by the way, ya!!!

Cool, VSR. Car looks good, I must be getting old as Im starting to prefer the standard look with low ride height.. Should be a healthy increase with that lot fitted. Sorry dont think think the carbon bits go with the interior. If it was black interior then maybe. -
your opinion on my wide corrado (new paint job)

I knew Id seent hsi before. Looking through an old PPC and there a pic on p27 June 2007 of a wide body Corrado at Golspie. What the track like up there as we were possibly trying to get some supermoto up there. Where else do you compete? -
Oh well looks like there staying then.
-
Sounds like a pain in the hoop, not going to be easy to sell on then without the loom.
-
If your feeling flush I might be selling my complete black heated leather Recaro's soon.
-
I did and he offered me a shot but Ive not gotten round to it. Things happening anyway :D
-
Still thinking of selling my heated electric leather but is this going to be a ball ache to remove the loom? Would prefer it to just be a simple case of unplugging.

Im always amazed at how high standard late VR's are. You should go on www.eastsidevw.co.uk its a local site for VW's. I think you would get a mob round your house if you removed the leather and fitted skirts to a Storm
-
Anybody fitted these to a Corrado or seen them fitted. Quite like the Competition or the lightweight but only with flat caps. http://www.select-alloys.co.uk/ats/larg ... mp_fix.jpg oh and they come in 9x17 http://www.select-alloys.co.uk/ats/large/superlight.jpg

Anybody thats had this conversion running the custom code phase 2 software? Any problems with this?

Ok Im kind of at the start of my project and Im trying to decide what route to take. Now engine wise I want to keep it N/A and was thinking of ditching rear seats so thought about a motorsport style theme with a couple of bucket seats (no cage though), bike brakes etc. Seems to many people do show cars but I prefer to use a car rather than look at it. Anybody got any decent photos of motorsport derived Corrado's for inspiration?

One is the ebay chip and the other I just bought from Leon on here, its set up for and exhaust/induction kit and cams but I want to try that again first. Check your ECU number first. Oh and car didnt get into garage as they couldnt start the car, reason being the chip was loose :brickwall:
-
All fixed, loose ECU chip  :(
-
If you wait then I might have one available or even better a Stealth generic remap. My car is in thee garage today and I may be getting rid of one or the other of the chips.
