I love speaking to guys like this. Its just a little thinking outside the box and not following the standard line. Not really a huge departure, just using basic principals in a different way much like many other great ideas.
Military is where to get the funding, if you have something that has a military application then use their money to develop it.
I
Newer car as a daily is wise purchase. Good to get into something and not worry about it breaking down. I'll be honest though Im really not a fan of the 500 styling. In fact pretty much every supermini styling come to think of it.
Its a great colour that, one of VW's better colours. My G60 had 89k miles on the original charger when I bought it, I ran it till about 105k then my brother did till about 120k. No issues at all.
Good choice of wheel as well.
From what I can see they are equivalent to FK's, possibly slightly better. Only thing that I can see is that they are the same through all Corrado models, I would have thought that the VR would have slightly different rates.

It tells you the OE part number which will help you loads. Get VW to confirm what pads they are or just take a punt at the ones on the site.
Doesnt help with the ground clearance though. It must be pretty extreme where you live as Ive very rarely felt the need for a 4x4 and I used to live in small town in in Grampains.
Sound like lead and dizzy to me. Had the same problem many moons ago when I went through a massive puddle. Took the cap of and dried it out properly and it worked fine after that.
Im not 100% sure but I think the calipers are the same, its the carriers that can be slightly different. Some from Mk3 Golf, some from Mk4's but i the calipers the same then the pads should fit. Mk4's carriers needed spacing 6mm IIRC.
Do a search on here for "288mm" and you should find out.
Dont, there ****. Unless your taking the car on track stick to normal pads. If you must get uprated then I liked the Mintex M1144's I had. For fitment they must match the calipers you have.
Hi, sorry I did, just didnt reply. I was not wanting to do anything till Id bought the car, should get it this Sat. If there is someone else interested then I'll probably come out though. What day did you say suits you best?
Ive seen a few remote turbo cars, it seems quite a straight forward thing to do and would be something different. I think as it relatively easy to turbo on a VR / V6 then we wont see one of these unless someone really wants to. A highly tuned NA R32 would be great, it just needs a little more top end punch.
