Cheers mate! it was fun even if it was really hard and nerve shredding. And the guys from the dealership that were there seemed really nice. They went to a hell of a lot of trouble to pick the right people, it must have cost a lot to hire the venue and the guy running the event. It seems like they are really keen to invest in the right people so I think a career with them would be excellent.

Yeah Tartan I hope it goes well for you. Sounds like a really good opportunity. Well, had my assessment day yesterday. Hardest thing I've ever done! Had a group task in the morning, followed by everyone having to prepare a five minute talk (I talked about my Rados! :D ), and then two incredibly difficult role plays, the second of which I had to negotiate a deal for selling some screws (of all things) giving the lowest discount possible. Really tough. but guess what.... I PASSED!!!! :D :D :D Out of the 21 people at the start of the day I'm in the last 6 that are being invited to the dealership for a final interview. I'm so pleased with myself because it was such hard work. Started at half eight in the morning and didn't leave until half six in the evening. Grueling. I just need to get through this last interview and the referee stage....

Doubt it will go up automaticly when you hit 56 though  I love it when a girl goes for the manual override. Edit: 800 posts and still I've had nothing of any intelligence to add.... :(

Yes, just about with my untrained eye.... It makes a lot more sense on those cars than it does on a golf imo. Those engines look nice and accessible if you ever need to do any work on them as well.... Which I'm guessing is frequently?

That is a mad looking thing. And sounds pretty crazy. So that's where the rat look comes from then? All these guys with golfs that have rusty bonnets and steels are just emulating this kind of thing? Or is that Hood Ride? You'll have to forgive my ignorance on this. I also think it'll be in the dictionary under head turner. Respect! :D

What the hell is that?

Maniacal. I love that word and it perfectly describes him. You like it like that?!

Mk3 TDIs are pretty sweet anyway. I loved mine. Had it for about a year which is the longest I've had any car since.

And the warning triangle. :?

But the Mazda 6 is awesome.... Girlfriend's mum had one for a few years and it was brilliant. That's not her one by the way....

Thanks for that mate! :D They haven't sent me any details at all yet about what they are expecting us to do. I'm just working on the basis that there is nothing they could reasonably throw at me that's any worse than some of the sh*t I have to deal with on a daily basis in my current job. And as for customer service I've been doing that my entire working life so if I can't get that right by now I don't deserve the job. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be good experience if nothing else. And if I don't get it I'll be more prepared for the next one. Did you find out at the end of the day that you got the job or do they invite you back for more interviews afterwards?

I don't think it's repeated until a week on Wednesday because of Snooker?

Through his letter box right? The girls seem a bit pointless. Why combine porn with cars? There's no room for both in one image and it just turns me off both of them. -
Yeah, I'm just sat around waiting for the Simpsons to come on!

For those that can't be bothered to search: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CuIAbvj0Te0 Check out the shonky J turn and the Aloominum shift nob. It does sound a little nice.

Yes, they can get the cnut for criminal damage.

Technically pants off the production line. But look at what you can do to them. Or have done to them to be more accurate: http://www.roushperformance.com/roushtv.shtml http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=d0XjkTnUY ... re=related Ok, so a Lotus will still beat it around a track. But you get the idea....

They are nice. My Girlfriend's brother has pretty much that exact model. They seem pretty tough. He got it dirt cheap from a bloke at work and when I got to inspect it there was no oil in it! Car's are normally cheap for a reason. This is what I have to keep telling the people around me that insist on buying these shonky old tubs. Anyway mate, your's looks pretty sweet. Good luck with her! :D

I reckon it's bound to give you at least 5 extra bhp. At least....

I've run loads of assessment days - best way to recruit into most jobs, puts people in real life situations, allows you to see how people interact with other people etc etc People start getting kicked out after the first hours, those that are left at the end of the day are generally offered a job. Some of the assessment centres I have run have only lasted three / four hours if there are no quality people there, others have gone on for eight / nine hours and resulted in 2 or 3 people being offered jobs. It does sound like fun. And a bit different from just sitting in a room for an hour talking about yourself. My only worry is getting eliminated early over something silly and then not really having a chance to prove myself. But I guess it's all down to me really.

Two words. Insurance and fraud. You mean to tell me someone did all that stuff to their golf but forgot that exhaust gases get a little hot?

Stangs are awesome. Would have a Roush Track Pack any day. Just for the noise and the looks. Pure 8)ness.
