MOT failure :( please please help guys.Need her to pass fast
Chris Langdon replied to Redrado93's topic in Engine Bay
your head lamp wont of been judged by eye mate, it would of been test with a head alignment tester, and the pattern would of been checked i.e for height and amount of kick up, plus they can change this for you during the test now. as for the CAT a cat missing is NOT an MOT failure its purely done on the emissions, your car gets a BET's (Basic emission test) any car after 1992 gets this regards Hope this helps chris -
not sure if anybody can answer this, is there going to any different in ride quality between my H&R Coilovers and KW's as alot of people seem to buy KW's, is it just a fashionable name at the moment or are they far superior to H&R's??? This is one of the hardest things ive brought for the VR (suspension i mean) purely for the fact you cant try before you buy!!! and every one i spoke to had a different opinon lol my two main varibles were that i wanted the car to have a nice stance and most importantly the ride quality, i didnt see the point in buying a coilover kit with variable damping and rebound etc as i would just set it to the softest setting and leave it. The build quality of the H&R's is excellent, and the ride quality is very good to, its not going to be like the standard set up but it aint bad, only very big pot holes its a bit eye winsing :) H&R's cant be that bad as they have been going for the last 25 years just seems you dont here many people talking about them, or buying them these days!!

Dude its cos you have that old man's auto gear box that i dont bring my car out, dont want you feeling bad every time you look in my car, plus im only going to leave you for dead now the schimmels are in lol :norty:

What are the Most Desirable Corrado Colours
Chris Langdon replied to Madjackal's topic in General Car Chat
Hey John :) Didn't the CCGB have the numbers of each colour sold in the UK, that would settle this rather than personal preferences. Good to see Blackberry in your top 5 though, it's also the fastest colour  yeah agree with Bill , love to know the actual number of each colour sold in the UK Bill you know moonlightblue is faster lol  -

What are the Most Desirable Corrado Colours
Chris Langdon replied to Madjackal's topic in General Car Chat
i cant believe no ones mentioned moonlightblue lol?????? i would agree the dark colours are the most desirable, IMO 1. Blackberry 2. Satin silver (because its quiet rare) 3.Mytic Blue (Storm colour only so again very rare) 4. Moonlightblue (cos i own one lol) regards Chris :D -
can get my daughter in the back of my VR6 can be a litle bit tight for space some times (only cos shes in a rear facing sit), and I imagine the R32 has alot more head room space, bigger boot than the VR. have been looking at these on piston heads for awhile, and i must amit i would be tempted but they seem to hold their value well, i would probably get bugger all for my Rado VR as well!!! , The big question is would you have one over a good Corrado VR6 tho? Are they alot better to drive than the VR? are they easier to live with on a daily basis over a Rado VR? Want i personally like about the MK4 R32 is they are pretty good striaght out the box, i.e dont really have to lower it, looks good standard etc :D

Brand New Corrado carpet sets - Any interest ?
Chris Langdon replied to John-M's topic in Suppliers Forum
The Mats that supercharged is on about are still available from VW i believe but IMO arent as good a quality as the original VW embossed Corrado mates as we i brought mine (about 18months ago) they had a different backing to the originals!!! -
Nath good work son, this we really compliment your car well, love recaro's would love to see these in the flesh when it all done.
-
would have to agree with Bill you will have to drop it a bit ,as i ran mine with splits on for a year on standard suspension and it just looked plain silly, but looks great now ive sensably dropped it.
-
Rob do they have Corrado written on them??? mine are the hard plastic ones, but prefer the Corrado scipt ones, any one got these fitted can any one confirm are ALL the corrado Scipted one stick on or did some come as hard plastic?
-
Thanks guys, so have they always been stick on strips, as i saw one at i show and it looked like hard plastic? but cant be 100% sure?? any help i would be most grateful cheers chris
-
Hi quiet like the look of the old style sill covers, the ones with Corrado Script embossed into them, imo i think they look better. My question is are they a straight forward fit for the existing ones or do i have to modify anything?? any help i would be most grateful. cheers Chris p.s mines a 94 VR6 on an L
