Do as detailed above, but then get your curser into the bit between the quotes and do some deleting - but be wary of deleting the square brackets and quotes or it all goes wrong. ....like this perhaps......quick trial

    Random Question

If you haven't sussed it yet, here's how. Use the 'reply with quote' button. Looks a bit like a right arrow at the top right of the post. ....thanks mate but what I meant was how do you quote a section from a post rather than the whole post ? :confused4:
  4. I got pulled once for driving 'suspicously slow'........when your on a tight budget at uni, beer is a priority choice over petrol......it was the slowest moving 205 GTI the world had even seen for three years
  5. Usually I have a strong opinion/feeling about what goes on in formula one after many many years of dedication, but Schumacher back in F1 stumps me.......I'm really unsure of how it will go for him  As an Italian, and obviously life long Ferrari nut, I'm worried his legacy of one of the best F1 drivers ever (que the angry posts/replys  ) is in jeopardy ......on the other hand I'm sure he wouldnt return unless he new he would be competitive :confused4: what ever happens its going to be a cracking year......Alonso in a ferrari is going to be immense

    Random Question

uhhmm thing is if I were buying for the rado then it would be a different matter......the cars only worth £500 so spending £70 on a headlight seems hard to do although they are quite important items  Polo forum now thats a good idea for future reference as well :brickwall: :) thanks for comments guys

    Random Question

I've just smashed my headlight on my 1998 Polo......now I know I can probably just get one from the local scrappers but I was looking at the Eurocarparts and seen a few on there. Can anyone tell me the difference between the £70 Hella ones and the £30 Astrum ones ?? I know with car parts you generally get what you pay for but this difference seems a lot :cuckoo: any comments/advise welcome :)

    Audi TT 225

This thread got me thinking and looking on Piston Heads :) Good read, some rather harsh comments though !!
  10. A bit of topic but can someone explain to me the reason for split rims - other than aesthetics ?? Am I right in saying they were oringinally used in motorsport ??
  11. Myn are Hicon-GT's and I've heard that they are the same as KW V1's but considering the rave reviews everyone gives the V1's I cant believe, for what ever reason, my weitecs are giving the same performance as KW's would  ......obviously will never know until I actually take the plunge and swap :brickwall:
  12. As spoken about in other thread with you, will be interesting to see how you get on with the softer springs...........suppose its cheaper plan 'a' rather than expensive KW plan 'b'. I dont think I could use my'n as a daily with the weitecs on it :(
  13. spotted m-reg, dark green, speedlined VR turning off finchley road this afternoon around 3ish..........needed a clean :ignore: Wanted to wave but feel like a bit of a dick seen as though I wasnt in the C.....so......
  14. Gone : Fiat Uno 1.1 - turbo look-a-like......well I was only 17  Peugeot 205 1.6 GTI - spanked within an inch of its life - now sits on mates drive with Mi-16 :brickwall: Peugeot 306 TD - motorway cruise liner Present : Alfa GTV Cup - V6 heaven :D Polo 1.4 - Struggles up hills Vespa LX50 - struggles down hills Rado VR -
  15. Awesome link, I watched all 11 minutes with a smile on my face. Big fan of the little Renault 5 Turbo 2 churping away at around 2 mins 52 Every single human that drove a Group B at full pace deserve a medal, so do half the spectators too! I love watching old clips like that......dead right about some of the spectators they were even more crazy than the drivers in those days  oh and intergrale wins everyday over UR for me mate.......although I would never own one unless I had considerably more mechanical knowledge than me :) ......guy owns one up my road - EVO 2 in very dark green with biege alcantara interior :luvlove: - it only comes out when its dry, in the summer and the ambient temp is 15 degrees though :norty:
  16. how amazing was that TV screen in the Range Rover.....never seen a screen that can show a different image depending on the angle at which you are watching it at......amazing :D for a change I quite liked that episode actually
  17. Car looks mint, love the unclutered black on white front end and red on white back end :salute: !! .....from a distance the wheels looked like they had black marks on the edges, but closer inspection shows its the chrome reflection :norty:
  18. Admittedly I have had to stop driving whilst holding my Glock out the window with my right hand, laying caps into bus stops and drive-thru KFC's, but it's a small price to pay :)
  19. Honestly you gotta try it, you can hold the wheel at 9 and 3, and go round nearly any corner (at rediculous speeds obviously) without having to take your hands off the wheel at any time, just point and shoot. F1 style except in slow motion :) You soon get used to not being able to palm it when parking but feeding it through is no big deal. I have a 280mm and a CG-lock to hold me in place and I challenge anyone to throw mine into a series of quick corners and not come out smiling  ......uhhhmmmm sounds like I should really try one then - although I must say I do enjoy spinning the wheel one handed with my palm in an american gangster kind of way
  20. .......great Idea, if you want you can come down to south London to and I will let you drive my girlfriends 1.4 polo as an incentive
  21. ok, thats what I run......thanks for your input swiftkid :salute: ........changing to KW's - 1 keeping weitecs - 0 anyone else got an opinion ?? Hi mate, I would be VERY interested to hear your opinions on the change as I too have the Weitecs and I have got to the point now that I get out the car swearing my tits off everytime I drive it because the ride quality is so appauling on the fecking sheeeeite roads near me! They have even started to leak at the seals now which isn't helping and they are slowly deteriorating. Even though I really really really can't afford to buy any more suspension as I have just bought a house and should be buying furniture I hate the fact that I am now starting to hate driving my car and so I feel like I may have to fork out for some V1's and take a hit to the wallet, I can just sit on paint tins and eat super noodles for a couple of months  I'm sort of in the same position - cant really afford to change at the moment but considering it in the new year - my one saving grace is that I dont use the C as a daily but even so the weitecs are starting to grate on me......I end up looking more at the surface of the up and coming road than I do the car ahead which for obvious reasons isnt great  I know its a bit of a long shot but I would love to hear an opinion from someone who has done the swap before I go and fork out for KW's. anyone........ EDIT : its even got to the stage where my girlfriend bought her own car because she doesnt like to drive my'n anymore........although thats good and bad
  22. changing a 25p resistor on my fan motor meant nice warm toes over last winter......but it did take quite a bit of skin off my knuckles and a sore neck for quite a few days to actually get to the bloody thing  - very satisfying when the heater worked again though
  23. I dont understand how you boys can drive with such small steering wheels......the first time I drove my'n I thought blimey this steering wheel is small (standard size) and every now and again I think the same thing - so I couldnt imagine going any smaller  Suppose I really need to try one though
  24. ......your not telling me you are feed up with this debate are you, does that mean you concede that a VR is the future :D only joking, I agree this should be the last post on the subject - Jav1886 you need to drive both to find out for yourself, and next time dont ask such a bloody stupid question
