Car looked awesome mate, cheers for the boot panel. Told you yesterday my car hates me, the bloody bonnet cable seems to have snapped today :( oh well....
-
Sounds like a good plan, I'll PM you my number. Don't know how to get mine off though, So may need a hand

Car looks good, don't think i could run that low, no hills round norfolk but roads are sh*te. Just a thought, i have a 50 splitter on mine and was looking for a 90, fancy a swap? Would mean you could run lower and still have a bit of clearance. Just a thought seeming as i'm not too far from you.

looks good mate, hope it all blends in well. Was doing this for the past 3 days to my roof. Take your time and it will look spot on.

Those wheels are awesone. Seen them on a mk3 golf estate before and didn't like them but 8). Keep them on makes you stand out

I Love my C, and no matter what other cars i drive i still love it. I don't care if its slow it just means people can appreciate it for longer. Speed isn't everything. My mate at work used to have an old Mk5 cortina estate with a cossie engine in pushing out over 350hp not including the wizzards of nos kit he had fitted and that would beat a hell of a lot of cars off the line but dam it was ugly. Most new cars are fast but any car can be made to go faster. Me I'd rather have a good looking woman than a ugly old heffer who could bang your brains out!

Is the Mk3 sunroof better built than the corrado's? If it is i may have to "borrow" the one from my golf and have a working C roof instead :)
-
hurry up with that moonroof, then when i get your old suroof and paid you for that the turbo will only cost you 15 quid......

that looks sweet, plus the wheels would fit a corrado valver wouldn't they  They would look sweet on the gooney -
i work right near by so popped in to pick up a c clip for the gear stick for my vr6 (golf not corrado :( ). i remember you saying you liked spraying cars when i bumped into you at hrg getting some stuff. Didn't think you meant whole cars. good for you, thats a bloody brave thing to do yourself :salute: , i've only ever sprayed the front of my girlfriends car.

Hope the cars a goodun this time, i just picked up a k plate golf vr6 the other day myself. nice car but won't get rid of the valver for it, its nowhere near as pretty as the c :luvlove: . -
Spotted you today, at king's lynn vw didn't look too bad, not to my tastes but pretty cool anyhow. Thought i recognised you didn't your fella have a kitted out white corrado? Met you a couple of times one was at tesco's when i was using a screwdriver as a headlight switch cause mine had just packed in

I shall borrow a scantool tonight and test it after work thanks. It just seems really odd because it just seems to pull away slow and hit 4000 rpm and thats it. It doesn't seem to me misfiring just has something holding it back. Thanks. Don't think it helped when i was looking at the car with a friend and said ' yeah it may have a big engine but its just a :censored: golf, don't care if the corrado is slower it just gives people longer to appreciate it as i drive past'. Think i may have upset it, but as they say the truth hurts

I find i get S**t readings from mine display, i find it best to reset it when you get to a staedy cruise. I know i have a knackered lambda sensor but at least i can ignore the over fuelling and enjoy the drive That read out was designed by the devil himself or the government to kill the fun or a corrado :hitler:

Tonight I picked up a golf 2.8 VR6 to sit happily next to my corrado, However I know it needs some work doing to it but it seems so slow. My valver was quicker than it on the way home. The Cat seemed to be rattling on the golf. Could this cause car to run so bad? It didn't want to rev over 4k but the engine seemed fine no misfire or anything. Could a knackered blocked Cat cause this to happen. I know its not a C but i always seem to find help from you lot. On the plus side even with my mate really trying to give it some there seemed to be no smoke from the exhaust and it done 140k with svs history up to 113K. Not too bad for free and at least this way i can get the VR6 'lust' as my missus calls it out the way. Please Help. Also the corrado seems upset and has wet itself, I seem to be slowly sinking from the rear driverside footweel. I have noticed a small water stain in the corner of the rear seat that i assumed was from my little girl drinking in the back but could this be a blocked sunroof drain??

Ok, So the little woman just read the thread and told me off :hitler: It was actully her that found the car for me through her friend. I have been warned that if i did not make this statement i may have to pleasure myself for a while .. :pale:

Ok so been back to check the car over, everything seems good . Brakes need a major clean and i don't know if the handbrake has ceased. All being well should be sitting on my driveway next week and this can be moved into the gallery along with my C, What do you think? climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfGolf.jpg[/attachment:2xzdefzj] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfGolf2.jpg[/attachment:2xzdefzj] Only dent on the bodywork is on the front wing, Golf7.jpg[/attachment:2xzdefzj]

awesome car mate, looks cool as :censored: . Where did you get those new fog lenses, and how much were they? Awesome work by the way really like the indicators 8) -
might just get it on the road and tidy it up a bit, could be fun to use for a few months then just sell it on. Suppose if i will get £150 ish scrap for it i can't really loose :? Just hope the C will forgive me and not decide to have a temper tantrum :)
-
very true, think my parents will just have to like it sitting in their drive. Can't keep it outside my house. Think i will take it and then see how it goes.
-
I want to get it road worthy though, think i will have it and look into getting it working and if not it may continue on to someone else.. who knows, its a shame because i don't have a lot of free money at the moment.

I've just been to look at a Mk3 Golf VR6 5door in purple, basically I found it through a friend and it's been sitting in this bloke driveway for a year and hasn't been used since he got his BMW, its a bit tatty but not rusty, and is nothing a bit of hard work can sort out, done about 140k and think it needs a new cat, and possibly brakes. It started first time with now smoke or rattles. best of all its free. My question is if i get it and get bored half way through getting it sorted am i going to be out of pocket or will i still be able to get a few hundred quid to cover what i put into it. Obviously my other option is to strip it, keep the engine (VR6 instead of 9a? 8) ) and let the rest of it go to my mate with his VR6 Golf. Any ideas??
-
Very True. My Mrs keeps making a joke of it now everytime she gets in the car now :(
-
Gutted mate, corrado's are evil things. Iast week i was ready to get rid of mine, but now love it again. Good luck with the moonroof, was just thinking of asking how you are getting on as i want a nice working sunroof for the summer :)
