I would have thought you would be better off bypassing the heater matrix for now. Its easy to do, just the 2 water pipes going into the bulkhead. I just used a couple of plumbers joints from B&Q to connect them together. Would stop you getting hot feet like when my old VR6 one went. Also means you won't steam up the windows when you forget and turn the heating up

just a little update. Today was MoT day and it passed   :D Now i have some spare cash, i'm going to replace the cylinder head, uprating the cams, replacing the dodgy manifold and down pipe, cam belt and tensioner and any other little bits along the way. -
Feel for you mate, somebody has hit the front of my car this week in tesco's and cracked the corner of my bumper :( Its not as obvious as that but still annoys the hell out of me. My old next door neighbours kids used to lean thier bikes on my old company car. Scratched all down the side of it. Some people just have no respect thats the problem. All was sorted after i one of their back wheels under my car and reversed over it though. :)

Pleased you are getting it sorted, My sig is a dig at my boss because he thinks that old cars are a waste of money. Sometime it just gets to me. I know some people think that old cars are a false economy but it really annoys me. He has had 2 mercs both from new the first he traded in for the newest one. That only had 30k on the clock and it had every service but he just changed it before its first Mot. The new one is the same spec, just with a different leather interior and paint and to top it off it has a private plate that make it look like it was registered in 05 not 08. Whats the point in that. Now to my point after my rant. Don't think of the money our old cars are costing us, think of the money we are saving not being foolish enough to buy new. Every cloud and all  -
I'm fairly sure reverse lights are not an Mot requirement. Sure that its not in the testers manual.

Try this place for the sensors http://www.vwspares.co.uk/corrado_brakes.php Had the same problems with the carrier bolts on my old mk3 golf vr6, i had to use a stud extractor in the end, spent hours the day before trying to get it off. Took abouk 10 mins with the extractor. Don't know what could have happened to the bolts. I had a similar thing with my drive shafts. all done per VW specs but somehow some of them bolts managed to come loose and the shaft span off in the middle of a roundabout. I done them again with a bit of locktight and they have been fine since. Iknow how you feel with your car, but would you really want anything else? Was at a mates last night, his corrado has been off the road for 6 months after he detonated the engine. So now it has a new engine, and is all mot'd and road legal again he got a mint set of seats for it. Looks really nice now, but i noticed yeterday that the heater matrix is knackered and is leaking. Now that would pi*s me off but he is so happy just to be able to drive his car again that he wasn't bothered at all. They are just so pretty, wish i had got a grey C now, you r car looks :luvlove: -
Just to say that greasing the window runners seems to have cured my window problem. It got to a point where my window would not work at all but i could hear the window relay clicking and the window motor was trying to move. The window must have been sticking in the guides. I supppose the motor will not operate the window if there is too much resistance to stop any accidents with fingers and the like so the grease has freed up the window and its been fine now for months. Really pleased that i decided to try this fist because to start with i thought i needed a new motor or there was a break in the wiring loom. Well worth doing even if your windows are fine, i noticed that it has speeded up the windows as well :) Thought i would update this to help anyone with similar problems using the search. Hope it helps.

If i remember, you need to undo the tilt lever and other bits also removing the headrest. I spilt the back from the bottom of the seat to make it easier, at the bottom of the backrest are some metal tabs, you need to undo these and then you can remove the covers. Once you have removed all of the connectors and the cover is say 3/4 of the way to the top you can then remove the headrest guide tubes. This was the hardest part, i found wrapping an elastic band around the lugs made it easier. I just decided to do it one night and didn't really look into it but it is very easy

I took my drivers seat out when i did it, made much more room which made it much easier. I did have to bend a screwdriver to get to the screw but it didn't take more than 45 mins. Was a bit awkward but not too bad really. got mine 9/5/08, P/N: 6N0905865, Desc: Barrel IGN £21.69 inc VAT. If your car is like mine it will still be the original switch. Don't think there is an alternative, however mine lasted for nearly 13 years and has probably been turned at least twice a day since new.

This happened to my passenger window. I could hear everything working but the window wouldn't move. It would now and again if you slammed the door though. I took the door card off and greased all the window running gear and once the window freed up it worked. Its has been fine for a week or two now. Well worth trying before you replace any parts.
-
Took the door card off over the weekend and had a look around, couldn't see any damaged wires, so while playing around noticed that i could feel the widow motor click almost like the window was frozen shut which it wasn't. After tapping around the frame the winow started working again so as i had no grease with me i gave all the running gear for the window mech a good dose of wd40 and the window has been fine since. Could it just be that the gudes and mech were a bit to much resistance so the motor wouldn't engage kind of like a saftey cut off?. Seems perfectly fine now just got to do it all again and grease everything up properly. As for the alarm problem, my door switch was just a bit stiff so wasn't returning correctly.
-
I had this with the passenger door, I think that the little switches at the bottom of the door are 'Earth Switches' and over time they corrode and get a bad contact. I took the switch out (1 Screw i think) cleaned all the contact areas up and it has been fine ever since. Hope this helps, if not then i've only wasted about 20 mins of your time if you clean the switches.

Am going to have him look at all the track rod ends and everything just to be safe because it was a bloody big hole i hit, the car is due for the Mot next month but don't want to wait that long, As i say a friend is looking at it. Its his garage, so if he doesn't want to do the tracking i will get it done somewhere else just to be safe then. Just thought i would ask so i don't look like a complete tit if i take it in other places and ask. Thanks for the quick reply :D

So my questions is can you take your lowered car to a garage and have your front/all wheels aligned. The reason i ask is that the other day while driving along some back roads in a 'spirited' way i hit a pot (moon crater) hole. Since then i'm convinced that although the car doesn't pull to either side that when you let go of the steering wheel it seems to gently move ever so slighty. Its more of a gentle left to right movement than a juddering. Now i have slightly dented my wheel, but today i took the car to a place near me and got the wheel checked over, they said everything was ok, i have only dented the lip of the wheel and i got it rebalanced. Just as a precaution i have booked it into a friends garage to have everything checked over next week to make sure i haven't bent or broken anything but he said that he couldn't do the wheel alignment because he wouldn't have the specs as my car is lowered. I'm sure that it is possible as i have searched the issue on here and with steering issues people always recommend wheel alignment. Now i know my car is getting looked at next week but does anybody have any ideas as to why the steering wheel would rock slightly or any things that i should try. It's just annoying me now, i'm probably worrying about nothing but thought i would ask.

I now know that feeling, Got engaged over christmas. The missus has gone mental ever since. Had to open a savings account, she's set the date (only 2 bloody years when i said at least 4), booked the venue, drawn up guest lists and everything. I Still forget that we are engaged, at least she goes to wedding shows at the weekends and i get some time to myself. Good luck!! I now know how she feels when i talk about cars. Don't know about you but i don't care what flowers/food/photographer/suits/venue/dresses/bridesmaids/etc we have. Was supposed to be a simple thing now it seems to be getting more and more expensive with every magazine she buys... Last night she was trying to show me bird cages. A magazine say's that these are the new thing to have as centre peices. :cuckoo: :help: -

:censored:ing Awesome, went down the darkest roads i could find last night and was able to see. Normally i would have to put my fog light on to just to help as full beam was about as much good as a cock flavoured lolly pop but now my life has changed. Thank you for bringing light into my life

Did all TT's come with aero wipers or was this only on certain models/years of car?

Very expensive but these seem to stock some of the straps http://www.corradoparts.com/Interior_an ... _Trim.html

Sorry to hear that mate, someone knocked the back of my car not so long back and broke the clips. Good that the chap admitted it was his fault, the :censored: that hit mine didn't even stop. Reminds me of the time when i was in my old company car and a brand new golf reversed straight into me. My car was fine but his had a hugh scrape right through to the plastic. He admitted it was his fault then turned to his missus in the passenger seat and had a go at her for not seeing me. Oh well nice shiney paint for you
-
well worth getting, i had to do the gf car last night as when i got home she decided to tell me they have been a bit noisey for a few weeks. After inspection the pads were almost gone and the discs were knackered. Went to halfrauds would have cost £71  for an old corsa. With trade card cost £35 all in :)

wouldn't it say what it holds on the fuel gauge?

I love the colour, would never have another car in the same colour though. Looks really nice when its clean, but as soon as its got a couple of days dirt on it the car just looks really dull. Thanks for that, do you have to use the resistors? i assume you would to lower the voltage.
