The bottom bolsters would be fine, but the side bolsters would have the tilt leaver hole on the wrong side. You could unpick them and restitch to make 1 good seat. That is assuming i still have them mate. Moved house on saturday and remember seeing them. Don't think they got slung but my new house is full of boxes at the moment. If i find them i will let you know.
  2. Sound like a good idea, i dropped mine off at the bodyshop yesterday. Missing it already. Just got to save pome pennies now for the head rebuild. Pleased yours is coming along quickly.
  3. Pleased it went well for you mate. So it was six and not 4 bolts then like i thought. Was good to meet you the other day at stu's. Haven't meet that many people in person on here :)
  4. look for the thread by JIM in Engine Threads mate, he has had loads of running temp probs. I'd go through his thread to get some ideas before whipping the head off. Link here
  5. Hey Luke, think a cable tie may well be the way forward. Remember a similar thing happend on a mates car years ago but had snapped and he didn't have breakdown. Ended up using our shoe laces and tying them to the throttle, had to control the throttle through the window. He wouldn't drive so i did now that was weird. Hows the car running? Have you sorted your temp problems?
  6. Was good to see you again mate, good to meet joe too. In typical fashion however the Corrado decided that to thank me for getting new bits for it, it would be a bit*h this morning. Started straight away, went to pull away and nothing pedal was to the floor and it just sat there idling away happily. So this morning running late for work i was in the pooring rain taking the lower half of the dash out under the steering wheel to reattach the throttle cable that decided to pop out. Seem to remember that this happened once before but years ago.
  7. Going to see mrbeige tonight to collect my new head, then on monday morning its in for repair. I'm getting all excited (at it getting repaired on monday not going to stu's to get the head :camp: )
  8. Have so far really liked the new series, last nights was good. Made me laugh because the MoT tester is a customer of mine, liked how 'norfolk' he sounded. Been waiting for this one for a while as he told me that top gear had filmed at his garage a while ago. Now i can change our website stating our emissions tester as seen op Top Gear. Also liked hammonds co pilot.
  9. Looks good, I do love how the lines curve into the wheel arch. You really don't notice that with the bump strips in. Seems a shame to hide such a nice line of the car.
  10. Very nice, do i classic green looks awesome when it clean. Love how the colour changes, just one of those colours that don't look so good when it's even slightly dirty. Would lower it though, make the car look so much better and you can always put it back to standard.
  11. Feel for you mate, hope it all gets sorted quickly. Had a bin lorry hit mine the other week. Nothing but stress but hopefully like me it will get sorted. £650 does seem cheap. Mine was the wing and door, cheapest i got was nearly £1300, just waiting for the bodyshop to book it in.But that does seem very minor compared to the dents in mine
  12. Loving these random threads, there should be far more *Taken from the urban dictionary* 'Cock Pie' is a traditional recipe consumed by all the ' :censored: ' out there. In many ways similar to 'humble pie' but a decidedly contemporary version of this classic. Coming along with gravy and onions the dish can also be accompanied by 'Balls' but this is optional. "Oooh by 'eck I reet fancy a 'Cock Pie' fer lunch today.. it really hits the spot, every time."
  13. Looks good, like the idea of a matt paint finish just not on my car. Was really tempted to do this to my old golf. What about smoking all the front lights?
  14. No worries, was a S*^t little story i had anyway. Maybe this should be moved to off topic and title changed to: Daft things i've said or I've put my foot in it again. I will start; A few years back, i got told by my mum that a friend of the family had been in an accident and lost half his leg. To which i repleid which half :) God i'm bored. Really really bored.
  15. :tumbleweed: Can't find a smiley that represents: Leaves room with tail betwen his legs
  16. I locked my dads keys in his car years ago. He had just stopped round to show me his new car (which he picked up that day) and left my uncle in the car. Popped out and told him to come in and made them a cuppa. After a while he asked where his keys were. Ooops. Cars are much better now though. It took us about 10 mins to get in without causing any damage. 7mins of that was finding a wire coat hangar and 3mins of arguing.
  17. Just PM'd you but just thought i got a complete drive shaft from autosalvage over in wereham last year might be worth trying them
  18. Well, the insurance have decided to fix my car so i am really happy now. Just had a phone call from my bodyshop who are awaiting parts then it will be in for repair. I think the best thing i done was send in some before and after pics of the car because the bodywork on my car is/was in pretty good shape before the accident. When i spoke to them first they said i didn't need to send any but i did anyway and the bloke dealing with my claim said that it did look in excellent condition and had reccommended the repair before he sent it on. On a plus side of all this it has spurred me on to have the top end rebuilt i have been promising myself for 2 years :norty:
  19. The Parts collection can now begin, i have already sourced a good head, maifold and downpipe. have on order a head gasket kit, new head bolts, Cambelt, tensioner, nuts and washers for the manifold and was going to get a new cam chain. Is there anything else i should order?
  20.    Looks like the insurance company are going to fix my car!! After weeks of stress spoke to them today and all is looking good. Should know 100% next week but it is looking good for my top end rebuild i have been planning . So once its out of the body shop it should be in the garage having a rebuilt head fitted, new manifold, downpipe, cambelt etc should be good for a few more years. Am well happy now :D
  21. you can still get them new from vw, but at £240+Vat they are a little expensive. I need/needed a drivers front wing for my (late) corrado. Found and collected 1 in a day on the for sale on here. Think you will just have to be prepared to travel.

Sorry mate, the covers i have are for the grey version of those seats. The ones i got my mate were exectly the same as yours though. I may still have the foam for that part of the seat though. It wouldn't be great that is why i changed it. Its not all broken up like yours though its just collapsed so you could do something with it so it would still be better.

Get a pic up mate, i have the guts from my old seat too. The foam has collapsed slightly thats why i changed it but they may be better than yours. I also have a knackered drivers seat knocking about so should be able to cobble something together.
  24. just take the seat out its a 1 min job. I take mine out every few months to give it a good clean

Looks nice mate, do like a red corrado. With your windows, try taking the door cards off a greasing all the runners. Made a lot of difference on mine. They will still seem slow compared to new cars though. As for your seat get some pics up. I have a grey set of cloth covers from an early passenger seat you can if you pay postage that might mean you can tidy it up.
