  4. yep if your changing the end plate then it'll all be there ignore the thing about wirng with all the ones I've seen lately, i've got it on me brain. doh!!
  5. Hi doug just done this myself and currently still putting it all back together. I went the change the engine wiring loom route, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. If you go the cam route, ie change the end plate etc, you might have some additional wiring to do to. Not sure. from my experience with the dizzy's, loose it asap. More trouble than it's worth. Because your changing to coilpack with a dizzy engine, thinking about it, then the cam end plate is the route to go. Just bear in mind that the wiring for the hall sender will need to be sorted. If you get stuck, give me a holler Enjoy Dic
  6. sounds like the belt went easy enuff to change, just need small hands. the tensioner is on top of the belt, but becareful moving it as it can spring back and clatter your fingers don't drive it like this as the water pump won't be running so you'll cook it luck dude :)

  14. deffo,if you take your rose tinted glasses off you will see where I'm coming from, the Corrado has some awkward styling from the front, whereas the Alfa is evenly balanced,If the Alfa had the same reliability and build quality as the Corrado I think I'd be an Alfa ownertake your blindfold of seriously  reliability..............are you serious ??

  16. basically to import my vr6 here will cost me in the region of 5000 euros, most of it in taxes. argggg. was thinking maybe do it in spain, and then only have to drive to tavira once every 6 months to leave the country and then bring it back..lol we had a 1.8 16v and a 2.0 16v before (well same time as the vr6 actually, but that was when I had 4 at the same time) and we used to get about 8 to 10l per 100km, so not bad have to say the vr6 averaged 38.9 on a gentle run over from the uk. pretty cool actually as for heater matrix..................I still have the scars on the back of me hands from doing that. Adding to them at the mo with the wiring looms at the mo. one back in, one more to go ate amanha dude
  17. damn, you beat me too it so much simpler me thinks
  18. there is an acceptable second car to a C. It's another C thats not a VR6. Job done. More mpg, but just as much grin. No club here in Portugal that I know of, but I know a few chaps with C's. I'll let you know when mines done, just put engine wiring loom back in this morning Just as a matter of interest, what was the registration like in Spain, for your car. Easy, expensive? Nightmare here, so mines still on english plates, but not used much
