It is possible that the dealer has not looked in the superceeded parts list. Rather than give the part number tell him what you want. I bought one last year with no problems, but can't find the invoice for the number, sorry

I think as Richard Hammond said about the Pagani Zonda. If your gonna make a supercar, at least make it look like one. Job done here I think.

I have 3 corrados, and finally they are all working, tho the mot and insurance is due on 2. Bugger. Chase the RAC for sure
-
No not exactly, but one who did a report on a c I was selling said he doubted if it was an original Karmann. Dooh !! Those dampers do blow occasionally but I would ask his bosses what they intend to do about it.

HI Its basically the start of the breakdown of the insulation. I fixed an old one of mine (which I still have as a spare) using epoxy putty. Good fix, and so far the unit has done approx another 10k with no issues Cheaper than buying new one Dic

I know. I have to come back to the continent to get some courtesy. Tho I do have to say that there are too many cars on the road in the UK. Driven across Europe many times, and the most congested on a regular basis is UK. Maybe just in Liverpool and South Wales but the "fuzz" were everywhere, or maybe just noticed cos we just don't see them here.

They are actually quite good, especially when then feckin relay goes in your headlight upgrade for your dipped beam, whilts travelling thru France on a bank holiday when there is no hope in hell of getitng a spare relay. (Or should I have carried a spare) Oh and by the way I have a bone to pick with Critical Mass Have to beg to differ. They seemed to be everywhere when I was last there. Oh well at least Portugal only has about 20 speed cameras in total, and non near me Dic

Remove the dash its much easier. You can get new matrix for about 25 bucks try GSF or ECP. (Mine was from the bay) easy to do, just long winded. Took me 6 hours including beer break (which here is about 2 hours) There is a very descriptive guide from the Corrado club in Canada I think, buts its on here as well. Pics and all Enjoy. Dic

ok ok, I'm thick. But I was genuinely pleased with myself. Now your all trying to take that away from me. I'm going to get upset in a mo. :( Dic On the other hand I could go outside and sit in the SUN(Yellow object occasionally seen in Uk in the sky) with a cold beer.

Why cynical. Honesty never hurt anyone.............well not that I know of. Lets hope the guy who owns the scooby never comes here. he might get a complex -
thats a very good description I got pissed off in the rain and traffic the other day and found it by accident Hey I thought I was really good when I found it without reading the instructions (See note elsewhere on flat packs)

Feel for the Guy, but his insurance will cover it. But on a personal note, if that car was parked on my drive, I would have done it myself. Butt ugly motor. -
Has anyone else come across the way to do this, or should I have read my manual more carefully. has to be another selling point, or am I being silly.

Reg was G something or other. Bright red, but had been resprayed at some point. Lovely motor, but at the time having 2 drivers and 4 corrados was not an option, so had to sell it. The only downside of the car was the engine which although good, was tired. Mileage was about 120 or so, so unlikely to be the same one was in Herefordshire last time I knew of it. Hope you enjoy it. Corrados are like Landrovers. Once bitten always smitten. (And of course they are both reliably unreliable) :D :D Dic

I used to have a Red early valver with no leccy windows and no sunroof. Rare beast. I have now an early 16vLHD with sunroof AND air con. Some strange combos about Dic PS where are you getting car from. Might be my old one.

JUST A FEW PICS OF MY BABY, NOW CORRADO TIME!

Very nice. Always wanted to get a Mk1 GTi but never had the money or the opportunity. Still haven't, and still dreaming. -
yeah, don't do it unless you have too. Immediate 100 bucks plus bill for head gasket and new head bolts. Try everything else first.
-
worst car for me had to be a Bently Turbo circa 1982 in chocolate brown. Used to work for a guy in Surrey who had one, but I don't think it had ever been serviced. My mates double decker bus drove better, tho it did lack the leather. Never again Dic

Responsibility for the idea of blow driers on cars nicely dodged. LOL Suppose its not a bad idea, but a bit excessive.
-
Whilst I bow to superior cleaning and polishing techniques, should we be worried about you blow drying your car. I think you need to show us your hair, to see if that's where the idea came from................ A Concerned individual. :D :D

Hi Had a rebore and stuff last year. Don't see that making 2.9 to a 3.0 would make that much difference. Rebore and keep it standard, or 24v route. Don't bother with the hassle of custom made pistons etc. Enjoy

No one seems to have mentioned a trailer ? Or is that me not wanting to loose another good rado. I have 2 kids 6 and 9, but they have never needed that much space. I am in agreement that most new parents seem to think that baby must ahve everything new and big and shiny. Are we british, or turning into yanks. Sorry stop that line before I get into why I emigrated. So trailer, or roofrack. I have one, a roof rack, which I put my board on, and then strap the kids to it. Urban surfing they used to call it, and me mum always used to say fresh air was good for the little 'uns. Ohhhhhhhhh, thought just happened "Tow the Pram", particularly if it has suspension etc. Anything to keep the C, sorry Enjoy the little one, they don't stay that way for long, and it's all downhill from 18 months on..............

lamba prob dead, causing stalling and rubbish idling...?

Maybe I'm too used to land rover mechanics. Paddys screwdriver and an oily rag fixes most things..... -

Mine went pop a few years ago hey are about 20 quid from stealers. Not sure why mine did it, but I also changed the pipe that you had a hole in. Just why is the corrado so complicated ??? Dic
