Do you know how much the pump alone is coming in at? Pretty sure I need another one too. I've been running Desert-spec PAS for about 3 months now.

Female to female are standard fitment on early 16v AFAIK. My current 256mm calipers have them on and even a little bracket either side to hold the male-to-male copper pipe: way too much engineering for aftermarket IMHO. Sorry, mine aren't genuine VAG. This is something like what you are looking for though, in fact that one may even fit given it's Audi 100 specification :salute: -

Yeah I got it sorted by buying some male to female brake hoses. Female to female are fine, but you gotta make up a male to male copper brake line at the caliper end so they fix together. hth, Jon. -
yeah fair point Toad. maybe it was a bad batch... were they new on the car recently?

pistons melting makes the boost monkey cry  Seriously though, is it properly back on the road now? Bay looks really tidy, must be hard to plumb in all the hardware etc! :salute:

I'm on there again, kept this username though just for continuity :salute: :dorky:

Stevo, if you're asking what drop links do, they link the ARB to the wishbones so that when the suspension compresses, the wishbones are forced back down due to the torsional strength in the ARB. It'd be the same as linking the ARB to the wheel hub, but obviously linking them to the wishbones does the same thing.

You need irwins in your life. I stripped my whole rear beam in less than 30 mins with some, they really are one of the most underrated tools. And my 16mm reference was to the Irwin socket size you need, and I guessed it'd be the rears!
-
dead speaker - check dead door handle - check dead ignition switch - check Are our cars brothers?! Ditto the switch, sometimes if you wiggle the key in the slot it likes it and starts anyways :camp:
-
Yep they do everything. I've removed exhaust manifold studs from a cylinder head with them too. Stoney's right, IIRC you'll need the 16mm irwin on the rear carrier inset allen key bolts :salute: I've done that recently too. Go out and buy some plusgas too, you'll be surprised how you ever did without.
-
As Stevo said, Irwins and Plusgas are your main allies!

I'm not an ICE person too so I know how it can be. If it's the wiring I think it is, there will be a yellow to yellow and a red to red bullet connector. You need to cross these over so yellow to red and red to yellow. Hope you managed to get it out!

you need to connect the radio to a PERMANENT 12 volt power line behind the dashboard, as opposed to a switched IGNITION 12 volt live connection. That is why you lose your stations. You might have to run a wire with an in-line fuse through the bulkhead to the battery to achieve this. I have no idea why your spoiler doesn't work now, probably something completely unrelated unless you've knocked a fuse out or something.

I'll throw my poo at you in a minute... :nono:  Edit: Sorry Adz, anyone would think you were starting a thread for retards or something :cuckoo:

I do know that getting the B Monkey to work on your car is option L337.

   Ah Rob, you funster. I'm gonna find out where you live and satin black your wheels like some kind of night-time car ninja :vamp:

Give me a second car, and I'm all set!

Alright mate, black thing on top of rocker cover is your pressure regulating valve (it's part of the whole crankcase ventilation system). That pipe you're looking for is: 037103493K - up to and including chassis number F 50-K-030 000 037103493L - including and after chassis number F 50-L-000 001 Looks like a pretty cheap part (under £10) but it's just a rubber hose, so you could use whatever pipe you like as long as it's the same shape. Can't help on the gear linkage though, sorry
-
Rob, are you on crystal meth again?! Red cars look BEST on black wheels! I rocked them on my Tornado Mk2 8)

Did an oil change today, although the oil didn't look too bad, I just hadn't changed it since I got the car in February. I need to do a coolant change too as my coolant is looking quite muddy. Also, this is what the top hose looks like: As you can see from the hose clips, it is bulging a lot! I'll be replacing it with one of the spare engine when I do the coolant change.

Those wheels are hotttt, black with red lip looks awesome imo. personally i'd do suspension first and then wheels, but that's me.
-
AFAIK, you can't buy them outright so you'll need to look for a 2nd hand pair. £100+ I'd think but worth checking it out.
