what's the red bits in this picture?
-
For future ref, sills buckle _real_ easily... don't ask me how I know :( :( I recommend putting stands across the rear subframe mount or even behind that on the last bit of the box-shape chassis rail.

I'll see what I can do?
-
mine's a photocopy, but will see how well it scans.
-
Might scan the Gp A in when I have some free time, and bung it up.

Sounds very useful! I have a copy of the Group A Golf 16v workshop manual. It's quite interesting to read what ignition timing they run, and has a full list of VAG part numbers for cams, valves etc etc etc. Bit annoyed there isn't a Bentley that covers the KR (as they're American) and me and Prod have the Mk2 and raddo one between us, so a KR mech manual sounds like just the thing! Hard to get hold of?

LOL!! reminds me, I got a sneaky pic of the engine dynos at work on my phone. It's kinda prohibited to first years (but I know so much! not fair :( ) so i'll sling those up... :offtopic1: -
Interesting that the subframes are different, glad I wasn't trying to source a mk2 item! :study:

I can find Redline MTL, and Redline MT-90 but not MTL-90?

Use the search buddy, there's tons of info on this: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=63092&start=60&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=20v+turbo

Thanks DT, we did that yesterday and the thing works good now. PAS rack still leaking, but when I topped it up I had a couple of hours of light steering! The whole thing is rusted, so I'm gonna source a new one and stick it on when I do arbs I think.

Yeah, did that ^^ (where's the pic, bro?), fixed my bonnet catch and worked out that I have a Powerflow exhaust! Apparently my oval tailpipe looked non-OEM to Prodigal... *shrugs* :? Picking up my replacement KR engine today on 83k! Don't actually need it now as we got the Corrado going, but will keep and rebuild it...high comp or low comp though? -

rebuild??? at least turn it over by hand a few times to make sure the oil works it's way round everywhere and to check it hasn't seized. oh, and petrol. and charge the battery :D and check the brak hoses... ok, i'll stop there. -
Yan, is there anything you don't know? how many fingers am I holding up?
-
Spoiler mech works fine up and down (bit slower on down?) when engine running, and the battery drain seemed to be the interior light being left on. I'm an arse :/

I think people at uni can get access to SIlverstone quite cheaply. I will ask around :thumb right:

^^ where does RAC get their info from? If the mileage reading is taken from the V5 / DVLA records at time of sale to a new keeper, then that information is optional and I don't know many people that actually fill it in? :?

Cheesey: Dr_Mat: Now, both of you behave or there's no dinner and definitely no driving! Back to topic: :thumb right:

Yeah, that's the TSI, they've been our for a while. Glad to hear a mini review though! clutched supercharger ftw 8)

yeah, you have a throttle body not a carb, but they do look similar so it's fair enough. My mk2 jetta used to do this, check all the little tiny vacuum pipes. You'd be surprised how much of a hissy fit an old engine will throw if the tiniest pipe isn't connected! Also worth checking your blue temp switch if you have one? Also, has it been running recently? If i left my Jetwagon for a while it would also throw a hissy fit and do what yours does and need a good drive. try some aerosol carb cleaner through it too.

...Or he could go pick it up and say he's you?

^^^ Yeah, been out again tonight and it barely turned over although did catch on the second try. any help appreciated!
