Campaign is still in bits, although they are all clean and painted. Just need a good push to get it all put back together. Good turn out at Trafford. About ten cars and beltin' sunshine. Hopefully see you at Tatton (you need one of those radio flyer trailers to put the kids in. They're great).

Renshaw project (probably going to sell / swap)

How good is technology when it allows you to do this. -
Hello stranger. Just had a meet on Sunday at the trafford centre. It went really well. We'll be hopefully doing it again though. You going to Tatton park this year ?

Size: Depends on which bike you go for. Brands measure their bikes differently, so somewhere between 19 or 21 dependent on how the bike measures up and personal taste (small chuckable frame, or longer, roadie type of rider). Pretty much every thing above £250 has 9 speed (27 gears) so you'll be catered for on that front. And yes there does seem to be a lot of riders on here. It's all good. I'm out of the loop on the brand front, but at that price point there's no one bike hugely better than another. Best to select three and then go from there. It's real easy to walk into a bike shop and come out more confused than when you walked in. Hope this helps, James

Well deserved (landslide) win I say. The Porsche wheels are brilliant. D90s are considered a little old hat these days, by some. But the way these have been presented it gives a little nod to the past and still seems fresh and original. They remind me of Le castelet wheels from Rivage cabrios / Scirrocos (which I also like). But with the added bonus of being a sixteen. Personally I think the car is almost perfect. But as we all know, once you start tweaking, you sometimes find it hard to stop. Where you getting the paint done ?

Friend of mine has the four door estate version. Awesome car. make sure you stick around on here though.

Wow, that's a blast from the blast Gareth. My first MTB was a 1992 lava dome. Canti's and project twos as well. Tres bon. Personally if I was to replace my MTB, i'd get an Orange "sub five" all-day-long. But that's my choice. Your budget may differ. Second hand may be an option. Bear in mind things like chain, cassette, chainset, bottom bracket. These are the wear items and as such get the most abuse. Replacement on once big ticket bikes can get costly. And lastly, if you're looking at stuff on ebay. Go and view it/ride it first. Cracked frames, worn shocks and linkages, stuck seatposts. I've seen the lot. You can't study a second hand bike enough. Let us know how you get on. All the best, James

Renshaw project (probably going to sell / swap)

Wow, that looks great Jay. Would have really liked to give your car a once over (as I would all the others there), but due to conflicting commitments, I had to chip off earlier than I would have liked. Great work all the same. PS: I agree that we should kick off a regular meet. Bounce ideas and swap/trade parts etc. -

Hows it coming along Jay ? Thought I may have seen you today. -
Just managed to sit down at the computer and write this message out. What a truly great day. The weather, attendees, conversations and let's not forget the standard of the cars (which was absurdly high). Well done to team Roxy for the win and long may you keep the bar raised high. The pictures are superb and the weather, well lets just say that the rainy city had a day off today. Sorry I had to chip so early (especially as I wanted to poke around under hoods and to check out Kips suspension in better detail), but I did manage to get to the game on time, consequently won it and now we're in the Lancashire cup final in April. Which rounded the day off a treat. Roll on Tatton Park.

Obsolete. Chop a piece of black foam to fit.

Pulling his boots off on the sill of your car as well. Hence the reason I encourage my boy to play tennis.

What's your budget ?

For a long time, I thought that's how all UK roads were. Not just round Wigan. Be good to see some more updates.

Those really are a good looking wheel. Are they laquered ? Can't tell from here. Be good to see these once fitted.

Just wanted to flag up that there's two different 8valve engines for the Corrado. 2E is usually fitted to 94 year models. Whilst 95 year models mostly received the ADY engine. Might be worth checking to be sure first. I'm certainly not the man to converse with in regards to modifying, but I'm sure the topic must have been touched on in the past. Have a trawl through the search and see what pops up. It may also be worth checking other VW forums, as ADY is fitted to Golfs, Vans and some SEATs. Be keen to know how you get on.
