Dude, I have the same headlights (as I have to have LHD headlights) and I'm really interested in knowing how you pulled them apart and sprayed the inner bits black, I reckon that'll look pimp. What paint did you use etc?

My car really does pass first time, everytime. :D

Went back to the garage, they said it was like that, I said it wasn't...no budging. So...unfortunately, due to circumstances (i.e. needing to keep my head down with my superiors) I decided to bite the bullet and just pay the bill. However, NO-ONE from our car club will ever go there again, and I often get asked by my other colleagues where to go...that place will not be on my list. Volkswagen, as ever, were ninja's and able to get me 2 x Speedline centre caps within 24hrs for £18. I dare not look at the other 2 centre caps in case they need replacing (which involve me going into the corner of a room and screaming)...but at least I know I can get them from the dealership still. Thanks for the part numbers.

Its a German tyre fitting franchise in Gutersloh, Germany. I'm away in the south of the country all day Monday, but I'm still going to call them and let them know I have no intention of paying until its sorted. I'm just so disappointed, there is no way its going to be easy, I know the owners son speaks English, but I bet they start not speaking any when I insist on not paying. Plus its such an awful job! I'm going to have to scrape away loads of this gunky mastick shit from where the centre cap goes. Guess I'll buy them from the dealership then and send them the bill. :mad2:

Took my car on Friday to get 2 x Toyo T1-R's, no biggie... So today I've been cleaning the car as me and a few of the lads are off to a car show tomorrow, I get to cleaning the alloys and I notice that my original Speedline centre caps look a bit odd. Turns out that the garage snapped them off, but rather than tell me, they've used mastick (or similiar) on the actual alloy wheel itself and then some kind of grey blue-tack-style gum on the centre cap, then just mashed them together!!! I can't believe that they'd think I would not notice, but when I contact the garage on Monday, how on earth can I prove it?! Thankfully, I've not paid for the tyres yet and I don't plan on doing so! Anyone know where I can get original Speedline centre caps from, can you still get them from the dealership?

Golf VR6 slower then C VR6 - Please explain!

Maybe its just the ones round Haverhill or Cambridge city centre that are just a bit too [tim westwood] "UK STYLE!"[/tim westwood] for my liking. The only ones I've liked have been the subtle ones from PhatDubs I've seen at a few shows - but then they were supercharged  -
The Inpro headlights that I currently have are good, especially with the Phillips Xtreme bulbs I've got, however they look very out of place with the car, unless I were to change all the lights on the car to more modern cystal versions...however, thats not something I wish to do. As for changing them to RHD, I believe that you can 'flat beam' them (as you can with lots of modern car headlights), however since March 2008 that has become illegal over here and you have to have 'full' LHD headlights. My concern is that I've ordered a set of early headlights for my late Corrado model :confused4:
-
I'm currently bidding on these, however I don't know whether they are for an early or late VR6 and I really need to get rid of the awful LHD ImPro items I have. http://cgi.ebay.de/Frontscheinwerfer-Sc ... 240%3A1318 Any chance if someone could tell me just by looking at the photos? If not then I'll have to contact the seller and blag the best of my very limited boxhead. :gag: I'm also assuming that the G60 and VR6 had the same style headlights? Cheers chaps. :)

What exactly is, "dot net framework version 2, and SQL 2005 express...". This looks like a fantastic piece of software, hopefully it'll work on my laptop. :?

Its hard to decide whats an 'upgrade' and whats a 'service/repair', which are the options you have to play with. Check out the blog bit for a break down, there must be chaps on here who spend more on my Corrado than I do. The insurance is only so expensive as I'm driving a RHD car in Germany.

http://www.pistonheads.com/members/show ... arId=60996 Yeah, its a bit geeky, and mine isn't conclusive, there is stuff I've missed, but its an interesting - depressing for some - to see how much work (i.e cash) you've done on your Corrado.

Dude, thanks for the headsup on the PM, believe me I'd love to have one of these in my car, but I'd prefer to get you to fit it. I'm in Germany, but I also live near Cambridge, so I'll just give you a headsup when I'm next back in the UK! :D -
So no-one has braided brake hoses?
-
I've said it before...I got on well with the chap, he had several Corrado's for me to look at when I went and bought mine (including a 'Campagin' edition). Fair play to him, he's in fucking business afterall chaps! :salute:

Almost €100 for a small engine hose at VW! HELP.

The Ford part is something crazy, about £180 as I recall! :cuckoo: -
Anyone got these installed on their VR6? http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... 5-6P&app=Y Does it make that much of a difference? Any idea how much the labour costs would be (roughly 1-2 hours for example?) to fit such items? Cheers.
-
I really hoped this would be a video of a Corrado doing 228mph
-
How often does this need doing mate? I've done about 25,000 miles in mine so far and haven't done this. Also, exactly how easy is it to do? Cheers.

Ask loads and loads of questions. NEVER settle for the price its advertised. Have lots of cash saved up.

What keeps your enthusiasm for corrado going?

Knowing that only a few like minded people understand it, plus out here in Germany, Germans see the Corrado and something really special. -

I gave in and sadly bought the tiny little hose on eBay for £35! Gutted. :( -

Bad news fellas. Ford no longer sell this part by itself - so its either pay Volkswagen big bucks, or find one at the scrappy, or god forbid....eBay. :mad2:
