Got a link mate? I can't find 'em.
  2. Hi guys, I'm finally getting a wheel refurb next month on my Speedline's. I'm not 100% sure that I want to get them refurbed in silver. What do you reckon to Anthracite? Or gun metal? Can anyone give me an idea of what it would look like using Photoshop? :notworthy: I don't think I'm going to go all the way to black, as its not a Lotus and I think black can look a touch chav-spec on the wrong cars. Opinions welcome.

Did they come with the little plastic O-ring? I take it that they are pretty damn simple to fit? Simply unscrewing them and screwing the new ones on? Still got the part number dude?
  4. The whole VR6 running costs issue does kinda grip-my-shit lads. Its a Corrado, its an older VW. If you want to keep it mint without eBay'ing it, or having the time/tools/knowledge to do it yourself, then its going to cost money. The VR6 is a reliable car, plus its as ecomonical as you fucking want it to be. I can get 30MPG easy, however, I don't normally drive it so steady as 1). I don't need to and 2). I can afford not to and more importantly 3). because I didn't buy the car with the MPG being the most important thing! The VR6 is also a classic and fun. I'm not too sure about the G60, I've never driven or owned one. IF I wanted one of the other Corrado's with a 8v, 16v etc etc, then I'd buy a Mk2 Golf GTi. Why buy a pov-spec Corrado? Its a contradiction.
  5. Bump. I know it might seem like a spaz question, but someone please help me out! :notworthy:
  6. Why spend 2 years and thousands of pounds on rebuilding a niche car that will obviously only appeal to a select few...just to sell it! Bizzare.
  7. Before I buy the bulbs (from powerbulbs btw), I just want to make sure that I'm buying the right shiz. 2 x packs of H4 Phillips X-Treme = 4 x bulbs in total. So both the main beam and dipped beam(sidelights) bulbs are H4? Cheers :?
  8. Too late dude, I'm packing them as we speak for another chap.
  9. I'm pretty sure that the InPro's I'm selling already have these things attached to them. ANYWAY! Someone give me the part number and I'll ask at my local GERMAN dealership. The parts are made about 200km away from where I live!Peace.
  10. I know the feeling, I've almost thrown in the towel a couple of times with my Corrado. Hopefully the on-going drama's I've had since before Xmas are finally being put to bed this Fri thanks to me putting my foot down...oh, and spending a final 450 Euros. When I say final, I mean for this issue, its not like I'm never going spend anymore cash on the car! The thing with this car is that its just so special, I keep it in mint condition, and in doing so it costs me more than the payments on a new car, but then I truely funking love this Corrado. The sound, the feeling of being thrown forward to almost 240kph on the Autobahn and the grin it gives me after a good drive. One day I'll sell it and buy an Audi, or finally go Japanese, or buy an Elise that my wife told me I could get!
  11. Had a proper result today at Volkswagen regarding the car. Basically for sometime now I've had a odd grinding noise when turning left in the car and its mean't a bit of hassle and two/three different Volkswagen employee's stating different things. Spent about an hour today talking to the dealership and even under the car with one of the Master mechanics. What started at €600+ (£526+) ended up being €450 all in (£394) after some pretty hard discussions, which is 3 out of 4 CV joints, plus fixing the (new) gearbox leak which Van Kronenburg Autosport will refund me for about €100ish for the part and labour (£87). So all in all its costing me €350 (£307) to have my car back 100% fixed by the weekend!!! Well chuffed.
  12. Never heard of PIAA. Whats the score with them?! Guess I'm going to have to do a bit of geekin' on Google!
  13. Cheers mate. It should be considering the amount of cash I throw at it! Got my lights for sale now :D
  14. Today I fitted some standard LHD headlights that I managed to aquire. All I need to do is uprate the awful standard headlights so I can see where I'm going at night  Has anyone used either of these in H4? I have used the Phillips bulbs in H7, but they were also in my InPro style headlights that I'm now selling. I'm also considering buying an uprated headlight loom and I assume this will also help. OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=111 PHILLIPS X-TREME POWER http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=43 Cheers.
  15. OFF TOPIC The airfield in the photo is still active. There are a few RAF ones 'unused' throughout the UK and there will be even more after the next General Election and Stategic Defence Review...anyway, enough of politics. I don't recommend breaking onto MOD property mate to test the car, could land you in the shit. My Corrado won't go faster than a GPS confirmed 148mph anyway, believe me I've tried!
  16. Righto. So if I whack them on for about £130 including postage and the Phillips bulbs I don't suppose I can go far wrong. As for the photo, yeah, it was taken on an airstrip. :norty:
  17. Whats the score with these chaps? I know they're not to everyone's taste (I obviously quite like them), but I recently aquired some original LHD lights. So...without being able to sell them over here, whats the going rate for these, 2 years old, in good condition with 2 x Phillips Xtreme bulbs (http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=81) per headlight in them??? Cheers.
  18. Ah, so I could just buy the inner and outer CV joint kits and then do it myself? Outer http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volks ... c12b8&CVJT Inner http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volks ... 3b2dd&CVJT Surely the actual bit of metal driveshaft can't be damaged or the car would be driving all over the damn place?! :confused4:
  19. I didn't even know a 16v Corrado cost as much as £99!
  20. I get 95% of my parts from the dealer, but yes, 2nd hand parts for the Corrado are getting a bit silly. I'm also trying to get new heater controls and finding that I'm going to have to spend about €130 in all, god only knows who is going to install it for me?! What we should all be more concerned about is how the prices for the actual cars themselves have fallen so much! :|
  21. I too would be interested in knowing this. Is it expensive to get the dealership to do it? Don't know if I'm confident enough handling this myself.
  22. To be fair, although its not my style...I've seen worse on Edition38.
  23. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Cheers for the informative help mate, guess I'm off to my local scrappy this weekend then in search of a Corrado facia, or even a Passat one. Last time I checked they had 4 Corrados, so I should be lucky.
