relay 32 is digifant relay
-
my money would be on digifant relay (ecu), check battery terminals are nice and tight and as for the revs the ecu vac hose needs to be in good condition and exactly 1m long. may be worth changing blue temp sender too
-
TA for the enlightenment :thumb right:
-
mmm thought valvers were cis not digi correct me if i'm wrong
-
I've just done the botom end on my 207k G60 and to be honest there was hardly any wear on the shells both crank and conrods both still had original shells in em top end was solid too. the charger is the only weak point on these engines IMHO.
-
How do you get the fecking thing out? got a broken wire :(
-
Change the digifant control relay too mate. this is more than likely the problem
-
nnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :epicfail: :iamwithstupid: :bonk:
-
crank bearings with engine in place :censored: :pale: (guess what i'm doin ATM)
-
I'd get it helicoiled if i were you wouldn't cost too much either
-
I'd be tempted to try the stealers first, as they are quite a common pump for most larger block vw's and such the price should be quite competitive.
-
Throw that plastic bit of s**t in the bin and buy an bbm rsr from G werks hey presto no leaks, and your oil pump is an easy job too just need a flexi drive extension to get to the bolts on the gearbox end.
-
mmmm Go for it! I too have been looking at putting this engine in my mk1 golf (just not too sure if i can justify the cost to my wife though!!) watchin this space closely
-

I agree with Tom DONT fit GSF bearings as they are made of cheese
-
laughing  just make sure your K+N is the paper type not foam cause your charger wont like it
-
Well found
-
I concur thought my top end had gone, it was 1 loose nut on no.4 exhaust manifold.
-
eh I take you mean mk3+?
-
or could be loose charger feed or return oil pipe wich would loose the oil pretty rapid
-
isv or idle s/w on throttle body would be my guess
-
Sounds like you have done that quite a bit :norty:
-
erm why bother? don't get that hot in UK. plus adds weight!
